Lavenderillusion, for once not high on catnip, had been sitting the whole time besides Vintagepaw, just watching in amazement as the world basically exploded around them. Quiet literally at that. Starting to panic, heart racing, she turned to the she-cat beside her. "WHAT DO WE DO? Wh-wAHT DO WE DO?" She was pacing in place, eyes searching the chaos around them, but finding nothing, no answers. The water was boiling, the cats screaming, and all she could bring herself to do was to cling to Vintagepaw's tail and panic.

Crownedstag leaned in to whisper in Bloodyheart’s ear before they charged “I’m going to create an opening, but you will only have a moment to get on that bridge. Take it and don’t look back. I’ll figure my own way out later, just go” he pressed his nose to her cheek before putting his head down and charging putting the full force of his weight behind the charge. He didn’t care what injuries he sustained or that he was leaving himself open to attack. His only goal was to forge a path straight through to the bridge.
The large black Tom worked like a rock tumbling through the long grass as he shoulder and pushed his way through he guards with sheer force of will. Claws raked through his long pelt as his forced his way through, making a path for bleeding heart to follow. As they neared the bridge there was only one thing left to do as he dragged the cat directly in front of it downwards with him so the bleeding heart could leap over them. Their was only a brief moment of and opening for her to take as the other guards punched, forcing him to ground @atomheart
Bleedingheart nodded, pressed against his side. As he slammed against the guards she leapt over the tumble of bodies, just narrowly missing the jaws of one of them. She landed on the bridge and nearly slipped off before digging her claws in to steady herself. Unbeknown to her the log bridge was weakened and the final straw was her jumping on it. With a loud crack it split down the middle and she slid backwards towards the boiling water. She dangled precariously for a moment, only to loose her grip and free fall. Her claws snagged the edges of the remaining log yet her hind legs were burned with a dip in the water as she tried her hardest to climb to safety. Yet it seemed to be a fruitless struggle. racer
Bloodystar frowned as he saw that, despite his warnings, cats were stilling rising up against him. Did they not realize that it was their ignorance that was causing all of this!? They were all buzzing in his ears like annoying little bees, made worse by the apocalyptic lighting and bitter, smoky air. The fur along the base of his spine began to rise but he forced it to lie flat. He had to look confident and leader-like for others to follow him. Remember, this is part of the Sun God's plan, he reminded himself.
"They'll come to their senses," He replied to Duskslayer first, for, despite it all, the dark-furred tom was among the rare few that he trusted even slightly, "The Sun God has made his intentions very clear! The longer they defy his will, the more they will suffer. The fact that they are denying this...," he motioned toward the still erupting volcano, "... just goes to show that maybe they are beyond being saved through anything we can do. If that's not proof that the Sun God is displeased, then I don't know what is."
Bloodystar looked back out on the crowd, his eyes settling on Weed, "It is your foolish actions that have angered the Sun God. The Tying of the Knot ceremony brings the chosen even closer to his heart... which is how we will find him and bring him back to us! Can't you see!? His return is urgent, all we have to do is prove our love for him through the Tying of the Knot ceremony!" NovaFaith
~~*~~~*~~*~~*PHASE II *~~~*~~~*~~*~~*~~ Just as Bleedingheart was about to slip into the boiling water below, teeth sank into her scruff and she was dragged upwards back onto the safety of the log “go”
All that Bleedingheart would see was a flash of fluttering silver fur as her savior continued the crossing, bits of the bark falling into the boiling red water below. The wisps of their fur catching and reflecting the bright light of the fire in the distance, giving the illusion that the cat itself was on fire as it crosse over the water. They stopped at the edge of the log as SunClan fought SunClan while Bloodystar stood high on the hill watching the events unfold. The scent of fear that filled the air almost overpowering that of even the ash and smoke
”ENOUGH”
If the familiar voice wasn’t enough to get their attention, what happened next certainly was. It had started as a low hum, but now it was a mighty roar. The wind began to whip around the cats, as something appeared over the tops of the sunflowers flying directly over head the cat standing on the bridge as it hovered far above the reach of any cat. The guards standing before the bridge began to scatter, fear of the creature that loomed overhead taking over. Taking advantage of the space created, the she-cat leapt down from her perch as the creature began to fly off towards the the direction of the explosion. It’s wings a blur, and it’s shiny pelt reflecting the light
With no hesitation, the she-cat addressed the crowd even though her eyes had locked onto the Tom at the crest of hill “cats of SunClan you must leave the ceremony springs” her voice held the weight of practiced authority, and even she she had changed a lot since her time as High Priestess there was denying the cat that stood before them now. Her once thick and beautiful silver pelt looked ragged and worn, her sides uneven from her the scar tissue of her ribs being broke again and again, but even more apparent was the scar of a moon engraved into the center of her forehead. The former high priestess Bloodystar and disgraced and I prisoner had returned.
“If you remain here you will die. The bridge will not last for much longer” there was an undeniable fury in her gaze, her claws digging into the earth of the ceremony springs “Bloodyrondo, you will let my clan go” JadieJetclawHoneystorm [This is your chance for your cats to leave the ceremony springs. If they do not leave, they will be trapped until the threads conclusion. BTW the creature is a helicopter]
Of all the things she needed to do today, she hadn't exactly anticipated the whole 'volcanic eruption' aspect to it all. Now, the confronting Bloodyrondo thing, that she was okay with. He deserved copious amounts of torture, if she had her way. Unfortunately it appeared her daughter would be taking this one. The fox furred feline followed behind, looking far more put together than the ragged Littlestar, a whisper of a smile across her face as she stood near to the she-cat, claws flexing as her gaze scanned the crowd. The only reason Foxbane didn't throw herself into the fray was her desire to keep the once Priestess safe. If anyone dared to get within range of them, however, they were bound to be dealing with yet another ex-Priestess, and this one was far, far less likely to offer any sort of mercy. You'd probably have better chances swimming the boiling springs than getting out of a fight with Vixenkismet alive, if she had her way. "You know, I expected SunClan to be crowfood under your leadership Bloody. But you really outdid yourself, it's worse than even I thought you were capable of. Do you enjoy ruling over burnt skeletons?" racerJetclawJadie
"I will, I promise." the bengal vowed looking up at his priest promised. Though Duskslayer promised Bravepaw would be fine, Nocturnepaw wasn't so sure as he looked back down at the tom, who was still clearly in agony. They weren't gong anywhere if he couldn't get him to his paws and every attempt he made was useless.
"Too many what?" he asked softly. Glancing around at all the panicking cats making a run for their lives his heart sank. Was no one going to help them? In a last ditch effort he grabbed the other apprentice by the scruff and began to drag him towards the log bridge, but it was a slow process and there was no way they were going to make it out in time.
Nocturnepaw froze at the sound of the new comers voice, he looked at the large feline in confusion. He had no idea who the she-cat was or why she was addressing Bloodystar the way she was but in this moment he was thankful, though he doubted she could help the two apprentices get out in time. FaithHoneystorm
Bleedingheart was grateful for the silvery cat who saved her, but she had never known Littlecrow or was it Littlestar? When she had joined Bloodystar was already leader. But none of that mattered as she stumbled across the final few pawsteps. The pain was excruciating as her hind legs developed the blisters of a serious burn. As much as she wanted to race to camp to save her kits, all she could do instead was to collapse a safe distance from the bank to catch her breath. Yet she looked on nervously as her fellow clanmates followed her over the bridge. She hoped Crownedstag was amongst them, even though it wasn’t the time to address feelings she was quite enraptured with the black tom.
Skipstep was right behind his mate, the tom glaring at Bloodystar and curling his lip at the tom. "Every ounce of ruin you've caused is on you," He snarled. "Finally your madness reaches it's end today." racerHoneystormJadie
"Mother!" Resilientbloom cried, joy lighting up in her eyes as she straightened up from her spot next to Brightdawn having stepped back when Mountainsound, the real expert on healing took her place. "You've come to save us!"
It was not the words of a janus, but of a daughter so relieved to finally be reunited with the mother she'd only been able to reach in her dreams infrequently. racer
Tenebrousrequiem took advantage of Littlestar's return to wrench Ferventprayer free from Discordantmelody, giving the she cat a few warning swipes before he pulled Ferventprayer away from her clutches. "Littlecrow's right, we have to move, come on." He urged Ferventprayer trying to help her to her paws. racerJadie

Crownedstag managed to slither his way out of the pile of cats that had pinned him, as the flying creature emerged letting out it’s mighty roar. He had claws marks extended down over his right, the skin there already swelling and blood forcing him to hold it shut. he had several places where claws had raked through his skin and a deep marking on his shoulder, but he still managed to get to his feet. He watched as Littlestar addressed the crowd, and upon seeing his mate collapsed on the other side, he didn’t hesitated “Bleedingheart” he called for her, leaping onto the tree to race to her side
He nosed her check gently “Let’s get you to those kits of yours” he bent down to gently ease her onto his back. If the situation hadn’t been as dire he would have insisted upon letting her rest, but he knew that she wouldn’t until she had all three of them safe @atomheart ----------> Alios froze in her tracks at Littlestar's arrival "Well that should do nicely" she murmered after having just wished for a distraction "We get as many out as we can" was her reply to Silverdragon "Focus on the cats that need assistance, but will be able to flee on their own once on the other side. Encourage those that are able to flee on their own feet to go now. Those that are gravely injured we may have to leave behind" the was a cool calmness in her gaze as she spoke "We won't be able to save them all, when the bridge looks like it might collapse we leave to, and help those that have made it off the island" Nova ----------> Lionpride had been trying to calm Balancedscale when Littlestar appeared. HIs large ears swiveling towards the sound of her voice. A big grin began to spread across her face, as he lifted his younger siblings into the air by the scruff to make his way over to join her "mom!!!" he meowed through it was muffled by the fur in his mouth. JadieHoneystorm ----------> Unseenlights took advantage as soon as the guards moved, taking off over the log to head back towards camp to find their other three kits. Duskslayer... you better get our children out and come back to us... she thought. She just had to believe in him, and play her part. At least with her out of there is was one less cat for her mate to worry over. Faith

Weed couldn’t believe what she was hearing. He must have completely lost it. Her green eyes, now red and watering from the smoke in the air, grew wide with disbelief for a brief moment before they quickly narrowed into slits as she stared hatefully at Bloodystar. His blind devotion to the Sun God was about to kill everyone in the ceremony springs. Before she could open her mouth to shoot out a rebuttal, Littelstar’s voice pierced through her heart. Shock, happiness, and relief passed across her countenance quickly. The tortoiseshell took a step back, quickly swallowing a cough she felt building up in her throat as she looked at her leader. Jadieracer Silverdragon quickly whipped his head around at Littlestar’s appearance. However, his gaze quickly fell back onto Alios once she had started to explain her plan. His ears twitched at her last statement. There were just far too many cats in the ceremony springs, and far too many of them panicking. He knew full well that not everyone would be able to make it back to the safety of the camp... if there was still a camp for them to return to. “I understand.” He said as he turned his body towards the bridge. “Let’s save as many as we can then.” racer Paintedcanyon could hardly breathe. He could feel the ash in his throat, and his horrendous coughing only made it raw as his body tried everything it could in order to expel the foreign substance. His tongue lolled from his mouth as he wandered away from the bridge. There had to be another way out of the Ceremony Springs, but he could hardly focus with how hot he felt. His vision blurred, and his head swam with vertigo. He knew these signs all too well. The ginger tom was beginning to over heat. His Winterclan lineage came in handy during the frigid months of leaf bare... but now it was nothing but a liability to him. His heart clenched at the remote possibility that he wouldn’t make it out of here. But he was determined to find another way out for both him and his clan mates.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, he thought of the Janus tunnel. He heard of it’s existence and he knew that the Janus’ used it to travel from the camp. But no one knew where the entrance was. The dark ginger tom swayed on his paws, stumbling onto his side. His stomach and chest heaved, every breathe sending a sharp pain through his body. Paintedcanyon curled his lip as he stared ahead. He couldn’t just lay down and die. Not just yet. The ginger tom rolled onto his stomach and dragged himself along the floor until his blurry vision landed on what it was he was looking for. Or at least, he hoped it was. Illusion or not the tom pulled himself towards the sight. As he moved forward a smile spread across his face. He found it, it was the tunnel. He dropped his head onto the ground, his paw outstretched towards the entrance. He had to get up... he had to tell the others... there was another way out
For just a moment, Bloodystar was transported back to MoonClan territory. The night sky and tree canopies cast everything, even the water, into shadows, but he could still tell that the rivers ran red with rot. Bodies of innumerable cats struggled to escape their watery grave, moaning and groaning, some cursing him, others begging for help. From the mayhem arose the dissolved corpse of Littlecrow, one eye dangling from its socket like some gruesome ornament, ribs literally pocking out her thin skin.
But then a great roaring in the sky snapped him back to reality and he cast his gaze upwards. From where he stood he could just make out the massive wings of some creature, it was like bird but it didn't have feathers. Its flank was shiny like scales and its movement strangely routine, flying in circles above the gathered cats, an eerie halo. He growled and looked away, surveying the assembled cats instead of fixating on the anomaly in the sky.
It didn't take him long to pick out just who the speaker was.
So, Littlecrow was alive. Bloodystar knew she probably would be, of course, her wounds were grave but not life threatening. However, she looked even worse now than she had before she had escaped. For some reason that emboldened him, almost like the Sun God himself was whispering in his ear, 'I made it easier for you to finish the job...'
"The witch returns and brings with her a demon!!!" Bloodystar howled, his voice successfully carrying over the dragon's roars, "She is offering you safety, but demons don't do anything for free. Leave with her now and your soul will never make it to the Isle!"
The fire in is voice grew with each word he said until he was practically yelling. She was ruining everything he had worked so hard to build... again. But this time he had the confidence - misguided as it may be - to do something about it.
"The Tying of the Knot ceremonies will have to be put on hold for the moment." He said with a more even, resolute tone than before, "First I must take care of our former High Priestess...." He looked to Littlestar directly now, a crooked smile on his face, "I have interpreted your very presence here all to be in line with the Sun God's will. What he wants is clear to me. After your many, many crimes, it no longer makes sense to hold you in prison, for the Sun God seeks only one thing from a traitor the likes of you: Death."
Carnagepanic was immensely relieved to hear nobody had to get married... even though he wasn't in the lineup. "Now's our chance," he murmured to Valleyrose, rising unsteadily to his paws. The strange newcomer had made a path through the guards, and this was their one opportunity to escape. "Come with me?" Jadie
With heat and fire on all sides, Dragonfly was brought back to the night the camp had burned down. His paws were rooted to the ground, terrified, and he held his breath, insistent that he wouldn't breathe in the smell of Brightdawn's burned flesh. He couldn't. He steered away from her as he hurried toward the exit, but his heart was tugging him back.. he couldn't leave yet. Not without his father. He didn't know who the strange silver she-cat was, not until he heard her name - so this was Littlecrow? - but he didn't care either. It was a pity she had to die, but they needed to be safe first, and there was nothing he could do to help her. Panting, he looked around for Honeysplash, getting desperate. "Dad? Where are you?" racer
Wisefool decided this was not the time for games and sprinted for the bridge.

Tying of knot ceremony? Who in their right mind would be holding a ceremony with the quickly approaching fire? With ash falling upon them in blankets? She had heard the rumors that Bloodystar had been slowly loosing his mind, but she had tried to hold out hope. Hope that somewhere inside that the apprentice she had worked with so long ago was still there. Not because he wanted her death, but because he was willing to condemn the rest of the clan in order to do so. As he spoke, she kept her eyes firmly on him as she walked through the parted crowd, trying not to get distracted as her children cried out her name. Each time tugging on her heart to stop, and focus on just getting them out of here.
Bloodystar wouldn't let them leave though, and it was clear what she needed to do here. She was the only that could keep him busy enough for the others to escape, even if it meant that she would be trapped her herself. She wouldn't wouldn't flee and leave her family to burn. Littlestar tilted her head upwards meeting his challenge with grace and dignity
"I you speak as if I fear death, as if I fear you" her words intense and smoldering like the approaching flames "Bloodyrondo you have lost your way, the flame that once burned so brightly in your heart, now nothing more than a darkened pit. The things you have done are inexcusable, unforgivable, but they are not due to you following the Sun God's will. The Sun God is dead. You can continue to deny it, but it doesn't change what has already been done"
The two cats were now within striking distance, the former High Priestess "You want to kill me? Fine, but don't hide behind the Sun God like a frightened kit. Accept responsibility for your own actions and emotions, for it is YOU that wants me dead, not the dead god you claim to follow" she dropped down into a crouch, her face devoid of emotion other than her smoldering gaze "so lets put an end to this, once and for all" JadieHoneystormJetclaw

Ferventprayer leaned onto her Tenebrousrequiem, but her eyes were on the top of the hill. Even though she had tried to rebel against him, her heart lurched as the strangers made their way up to confront Bloodystar "They are going to kill him" panic entering her voice, the reality of the situation setting in. She didn't want to marry Bravepaw, but that didn't mean she wanted her father to die. "We can't leave, they are going to kill my father" she was shaking, from fear or pain from pain of her wounds it was hard to tell "We have to go help him" she turned to her mate with pleading eyes, not even recognizing her birth parents that she hadn't seen since she was only a kit, at least not until she called her by name. Littlecrow, her mother that Bloodystar had taken her from to be raised in the Sun God's light. All she had ever heard about her was that she was a traitor that had turned on her clan and slaughtered their god "If she could kill a god, what chance does my father have?" Jetclaw --------------> Alios spotted Balancedscale and Bravepaw collapsed to the ground still screaming, Brightdawn blistered and nearly unconscious. Even if they helped them across the bridge, they wouldn't be able to flee on their own. Instead she went to the other apprentices, the ones that seemed to be determined to get married today. "You must go, now" her voice was frim as she spoke "You heard the High Priest, the tying of the knot ceremony will be postponed. He has his paws full, lets get back to camp and get it ready for the ceremony so that when he is done here it can begin immediately" woofbiyuu ☆彡Honeystormmeow
Tenebrousrequiem looked at his mate with wide eyes. "Are you- No, of course you're serious." He groaned.
He was silent a moment. Ferventprayer had been attacked just moments ago by one of Bloodystar's followers to force her to go along with his will.
And still Bloodystar's brainwashing held.
'Sun God help me, this is revenge for my days of thinking horrible things isn't it?'
He sighed heavily, and looked at her. "Fire is raining down from above us," He told her. "An... argument could be made that this is your 'father' reaping what he has sown. You're hurt because of what he's done to you!" He cried nodding to the scratches Discordantmelody had inflicted upon Ferventprayer to force her to obey.
"Please... if we stay it won't be your mother I'm worried about." He said looking towards the hill. "That.... earth fire will kill us all, unless your help is grabbing him and dragging him out. Which may I remind you everyone's only been stuck staying because of him."
"Leave him to his fate, save your life, and free yourself from him." He stressed. Thinking hard trying to think what might get her to realize Bloodystar had stopped been a father and instead someone who was using her. "When-when was the last time he did something for you. That showed he cared." He ground out. "He belittled you while you grieved your sister and were terrified in the aftermath. I watched, I seethed. I don't care about anyone else here, I just care about you. He's taken so much from you, don't let him take your life to feed his own ends!" He pleaded. racer

Ferventlrayer couldn’t wretch her gaze away from what was happening atop the hill, but one ear still flickered towards teneberousrequium so that he would know “Does it matter? Terrible or not he’s still my father” her legs were shaking clearly in distress at the decision that was laid out before her “I can’t just leave him, not when he needs me most”
She paused turning to face her mate, a tear sliding down her cheek “Tenerbrousrequium I love you” one of her paws rising up to touch his cheek “I want to be with you, to be happy and start a family one day” she paused, lowering her muzzle until it touched his “but if I leave him now what kind of daughter would I be? What would I tell our future kits? Bloodystar... I don’t agree with what he’s done, and yes he’s hurt me, but In his heart he isn’t bad. I stood up to him, but leaving him die? He is sick, and he needs his family now more than ever” she pulled away her eyes falling to the ground
“I know you don’t understand, but how could I live on knowing that I could have done something to save him?” Jetclaw
Tenebrousrequiem sighed angrily. "Fine, we can drag him out." He said. "But if he won't leave and insists on fighting your mom and Foxbane, we're leaving to his fate." He said.
He turned and stomped in the direction of Bloodystar and Littlestar his pelt bushing out. He recalled the last time someone had made the mistake of getting close to Foxbane in the middle of a fight. So the best way to not get killed in the crossfire was to end this before they got tangled up in each other.
"You get one chance, if your father can't pull his head out of his rear, we're leaving." Tenebrousrequiem said flatly as they were nearing close to the heart of it all. He didn't want to, but to save Ferventprayer he would drag her if he had to. At least then she could believe she'd done everything she could. She'd hate him, but she would be alive and that was the exchange he was willing to make. racer
"Things would be different if the Sun God was still alive. He would have stopped this rumbling..." Perfectstorm replied to Blindfaith, trailing off toward the end of his statement because it wasn't lining up with what Bloodystar was saying and even he noticed it. The tom shook his head but did not correct himself, instead changing subjects, "Blindfaith, I'll help you get to safety but then I have to help defend the---"
”ENOUGH”
Perfectstorm jolted once more - this time narrowly avoiding Blindfaith, although he came close to running into her again - and whipped around to the source of the new commotion. His memory of her was fuzzy, and she had changed a lot since he had last seen her, but it didn't take long for him to realize that she was his mother even before she started speaking again. At first the silver-furred tom began to tremble. When she was gone, it was easy to forget all of the lessons she had taught him in favor of Bloodystar's teachings, but, now that she stood there, broken but still strong, it all came back to him like a surging wave. The good and bad of the Sun God, the right and the wrong way to act... She had taught loyalty, yes, but she hadn't taught for it to be blind.
Bloodystar's brainwashing, however, was stronger than the memories of his childhood. That she-cat was a stranger to him. No, she was worse than a stranger, she was a traitor. The doubt ceased almost as soon as it started and he unsheathed his claws, a growl rising in the back of his throat.
"Littlecrow." Faith (I didn't give you a lot to run with here, so, uh, good luck LOL)
Valleyrose shuddered as the volcano erupted and immediately she felt weakened somehow. Her element connected her to the environment in ways that a normal cat never would be and, as the flames and magma starved the air of oxygen and burned away the little plant growth that was left in SunClan territory, she felt... well, it was hard to described. Devastated, perhaps? It wasn't devastation for them, though, but with them, almost as if their pain was hers even though it wasn't.
She leaned into Carnagepanic's side for support, gasping even though the smoke wasn't quite thick enough for that yet, but quickly did her best to regain her composure, "I can't leave without my mom. Will you help me find her?" Cleaverracer
~*~
Soaringpaw nodded as Darkpaw darted away. She would always complain about how he never left her alone, but the truth was that she needed him just as much as he needed her. His absence was like losing a paw. But she had to be strong, if for anyone than for Bravepaw.
"Stop being a baby, we have got to go before it's too late. Darkpaw's element will make it so we can get a crossed the bridge easily but we have to go now," She spoke in low, hurried tons, nudging at the smaller tom's side with urgency, "Get up!"
~*~
"That had better not scar," Discordantmeldoy taunted as she wiped blood away from her muzzle. She was grinning perhaps even a bit maniacally but made no move to pursue Ferventprayer or Tenebrousrequiem any further. She didn't see to. Soon there was be nowhere else for them to go and she'd achieved her goal of slowing them down enough to make their fate certain. racerJetclaw
