Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Plot: Lovearrow and Sunflower get paired together to go on a border patrol. While out, Lovearrow is tasked with helping answer questions Sunflower has about clan life. Lovearrow dives off from there to talking about Chim and how she can't believe he chose someone else when perfection (herself) is right in front of him. So they then start talking and bonding about past relationships, idea cats for relationships and more. Before long they're lead into an open relationship. Lovearrow still commits her flings and has kits, but the two will tell others they're mates, even though Lovearrow isn't full committed. Basically a "we'll sleep in the same nest but also mess around with others" kind of relationship. seeker
Lovearrow couldn't believe she was being tasked with this job. Showing the newbie around and answering question. Really! It's like tehy didn't understand she had better things to do, like try and make Chimerastar see reason that she's the prime choice or the cat he did chose. The idiot! Sitting by the current camp entrance, she was waiting for the cat to meet up with her. Sure, SwiftClan has no borders and so this wasn't a real border patrol, but it's an excuse to not hunt but to also show her around in an official manner.
The feminine pads to the other cat that she was meant to be led around with, her pace slow and leisurely. She still didn't understand everything there was to being a clan cat, and honestly, this was more or less just a fun place for her to be so she didn't have to sleep in the rain. Sunflower had lived in the carnival parts when the weather was rough, so she kinda just decided to join when the others moved in. She kept her loner name rather than choosing a warrior one, but she supposed she could choose one eventually. "'Ello!" she greets Lovearrow.
Lovearrow rolled her eyes at the overly happy cat before her. She couldn't believe this cat just wanted to join up, sure many had joined SwiftClan. That included kittypets and loners and other clan cats, but she still hated having to teach them their ways. It was such a pain, couldn't someone else do it? She had other things to do. "Let's go then, I guess. I'm supposed to show you around and teach you things."
“Okay.” Sunflower smiles again. The she-cat didn’t have a care in the world, and her body showed that. Her muscles were relaxed under a beautiful ginger and white coat, her eyes bright and ready for the adventure Lovearrow would lead them on. She hums softly to herself, waiting for any further direction. “Name’s Sunflower. I’m from the area. Never been ‘round this many cats before. Didn’t know y’all lived in the area.” She was friendly and ready to make conversation, after all, she was supposed to be learning about clan life. “I heard about a code or somethin’?” pao
Lovearrow glanced at her form the side of her eye, she was pretty she’d give the cat that. And happy-go-lucky by the look of it. But still, Lovearrow hated this task. Especially right now. She was still upset over Chimerastar leaving, he was the live of her life even if they’d never actually been together. And then he left, and with another she-cat at that! “We move around a lot. None of the other clans are like that, it’s our most unique feature so you best get used to that. We’ve got a code too, as all the other clans do. You know anything about those other clans?” There was the code and then the unspoken one. And in Lovearrow’s opinion not flirting with Chimerastar unless your Lovearrow had been one do the top unspoken ones. That or everyone just did it when she wasn’t looking and others never mentioned it to her knowing how the white she-cat was about the former leader.
"Don't know nothin' about anything, sweetheart," Sunflower purrs in amusement, her tone good-natured. The more she spoke, the more evident her soft southern drawl came about. "Traveled here 'nd there a bit myself. Used to live where the twolegs call 'Georgia'. Used to belong to an old lady, sweet as a peach. When she died her youngins took me to where ever here is. Ran away though, twoleg life wasn't for me. Stayed 'round for the old lady because I was all she had." Sunflower recalls fondly to her younger days, when she hunted for her food half the time anyways because the elderly lady would forget to feed her. "I don' mind travelin'. I just don't like the rain."
“Ugh, rain. It makes my fur stand up oddly. And don’t get me started on thunder storms. Seems like my fur collects the static and I’m a walking thunder ball. Not even the deadly kind!” Lovearrow was starting to like this girl, sensible and chill. “Well, so this code is basically a way of life. Rules if you will. There’s two codes really the unspoken and then spoken.” She then went on to tell the fellow she-cat about the code they lived by, and a few of the unspoken. Though, she didn’t mention Chimerastar until the end. “Oh, last one. You don’t flirt with Chimerastar if he comes around. He used to be our leader but he left, the rule still stands though regarding flirting with him.” Lovearrow was firm in speaking Thai rule, going so far as to halte at the she-cat to make sure she understood that it would not be broken.
Sunflower gives a half smile, not one with any negative energy, but amused and pleased to have the other cat open up to her. "I'm sure you look just fine. Probably kinda cute." The ginger cat winks, tail swishing lazily. She listened intently to the code, which didn't sound all too difficult to follow. Medicine cats, off limits. Kits, in camp. Chimerastar... Lovearrow's? She raised a brow but didn't say much. "Well if I ever see that Chimera character, you don' haveta worry. Not big on toms anyways." she shrugs.
Lovearrow rolled her eyes, “you say that now until I shock you with some static when walking by.” Though she was pleased to hear that the she-cat what’s smithing to do with Chimerastar. One less female to worry about there. “Well, what else do you want to know?” Sunflower was seeming to become Lovearrow’s kind of cat, not annoying and easy to talk to. It was actually a pretty good conversation too, especially for one that Lovearrow was dreading having to do. She hated the “newcomers talk” as it was called. It was so boring to have to go over ever little thin, but for once it didn’t feel like a chore with Sunflower.
"Eh, get my blood pumpin, no big deal." She laughs, continuing onwards by Lovearrow's side. Sunflower had never regretted her choice of joining the clan, but having someone to talk to sure made things easier. She hums softly as she looks around, thinking about any other questions that might come to mind. "anyone ever stay in this clan for long?" she inquires. Not rudely, but genuinely curious. She'd heard of cats coming in and out, of cats from other clans. "also heard that most leaders are stars, why isn't ours?"
“Because he’d be dishonoring Chimerastar.” In all honesty, Lovearrow had no idea why their leader hadn’t taken in the star to his name, but she didn’t care. So she spoke with a shrug and moved one. Chimerastar still held the title in her eyes and always would. “Some cats leave others show up and join. But for the most pet cats stay in the clan their born in. SwiftClan is a little different. We rose from the ruins of fallen clans. We were without a home and then Chimerastar brought us together and called us SwiftClan. We’ve traveled together had become like a family since then.” Lovearrow could still remember those days. She’d only been an apprentice, so young and impressionable in Thai world when it’d all fallen apart. Her home was destroyed and from it new growth began. It was like a swift breeze blew through and rattled their furs saying, “let’s get going then,” and off they were.
