Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
( Thanks to a certain... few cats, Shule has felt the need to start a re-training program that she calls bootcamp. Made for cats both within and outside the Regime, they are willing to accept any cat who needs to be taught hard lessons. The first two in this program, which will be headed by Superior Symphorosa: Dimitri Sterling & Kotori Eerie )
Commander Shule rubbed her face in frustration. She had expected the Scout thing wouldn't go well, but she didn't expect Dimitri to be so stubborn about it. If it wouldn't give the rest of the Regime ideas, she might have just let him keep his rank. However, that wasn't the case, and she knew if she let him do it, everyone else would press until she gave in, and she couldn't have that.
That, coupled with the fact she'd dragged the Regime's only prisoner, her son, Kotori, to the Underground Forest... well, she couldn't just let him be Prisoner. But she wasn't about to let her own reputation go to shreds because she made him a Scout without really punishing him at all.
So the pair were seated in front of her, the rest of the Regime peering at this display in their makeshift HQ. "Before us, we have two cats that need some additional training. These two have shown, in the past or present, that they are in need of some serious rehabilitation. This shall be achieved by showing them just how harsh life can be, and this program, which will be called Bootcamp, shall be run by our Mercenary Superiors, in this case, Superior Symphorosa Starkfield. They shall be in this program until their attitudes are deemed corrected, at which point, they shall both return to normal standing as soldiers of the Regime. I trust you, the Regime, will show Private Dimitri and Private Kotori the proper way to behave in the Regime."
She mostly black she-cat expected pushback regarding Kotori, and understandably so. He was a serial killer, and his daughter Emiko had followed in his path, both having killed numerous Regime cats. But hopefully this would be acceptable to them.
The black tom with the half white face sat in front, hunched over by an invisible breeze making him appear even smaller than he already was. For being a prolific serial killer who had murdered his own family members including his siblings and grandmother he didn't look the part. In fact Kotori looked like someone anyone could gloss over in a crowd. There was nothing interesting about him, another passing face to forget about the next day. Nor did he look all that strong, especially on a prisoners diet. Despite his atrocious acts though in this moment he looked more like a punished kit at his mothers words. She wanted him to have a future in the Regime so he would put up with anything if it meant doing Commander Shule right. Besides if there was one thing he could do it was sucking up to superiors so it wouldn't take long before his mom would be convinced he'd been humbled and redeemed.

Symphorosa stood to the right of Shule and looked over her charges. A serial killer and guider who refused to become a scout, hardly the same level of crime that deserved the same punishment. Then again she knew very little about Kotori’s crimes other than what she had overheard. She knew next to nothing about Dimitri. So she had no emotional attachment to treat Korori harshly or Dimitri mercifully. Symphorosa had plans to treat them just the same for the moment, until one of them caused trouble or another member complained to her about the two. Ideally she wanted these two to take care of all the menial, cleaning type tasks in the Regime. But then again that might be too much work and the cadets needed to do something after all.
So she stepped forward with a harsh look in her eyes. The smoke tabby was not exactly a harsh, demanding type of cat but this would be a new experience. Plus it would probably put her in good standing with others in the Regime who doubted her ability to be a superior. Of course it would teach her to make decisions that used to be out of her pay grade. “I expect you to stay in line and follow orders. For those of you that do not behave there will be serious punishments.”
