Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Intruder alert everyone, batten down the hatches," She called out teasingly, her care free tone intertwined with a held back shyness. The she-cat trailed her tail along the grooves in the tunnel walls before coming to a stop as the Regime scent became thicker.
Over night word had spread through the vine that the underworld military had taken root beneath the paws of DayClan's heavenly grounds. Unbeknownst to everyone it unearthed the lost spy's daughter, Loelia Vellacorpse, the girl that ran away with only two working legs.
Her legs were as fragile as a fawns first steps, disjointed with a rhythmic wobble. But there was something about the way that she walked that made it resemble less like a fawn and more like a flutter of butterfly wings. There was a certain grace in her movements, that danced with a clumsy precision. Strapped to her two back legs were braces keeping them stiff, straight. Connecting to the pieces were carefully crafted bindings that connected to her front legs in order to simulate her front leg movements from the back. Moons of unrest and displeasure were spent with those leg braces, but now they came naturally. Not so much as a piece of her body, so much as an extension of herself like a claw. That was what her disadvantage was to her now, a claw that she had to wield differently than most.
Loelia stayed respectfully back from the scent line. She had always told herself that when she could stand on her own she would return. Now that she had some practice with the leg braces along with the Regime's current camp situated under DayClan it felt like fate for her to return.
It was no secret that Havilah hated the current territory situation and wished that the Regime had taken up refuge literally anywhere else. He didn't trust DayClan, not since they accepted Foxbane among their ranks and almost voted her leader, and felt that the flimsy border between the two groups needed patrolled much more than Commander Shule directed. Thus, as he came upon Loelia he was on a solo self-imposed patrol, a low growl betraying his existence before Loelia would have been able to see or smell him.
"What do you want?" He grumbled, unsheathing his claws as he approached to further intimidate her, "From here onward is Regime territory, that was the deal. So you had better scamper on back to... Wait a minute. Do I know you?"
Loelia held herself with a modest confidence, waiting with an unwavering boldness as Havilah closed the distance between them. At the same time she submissively ducked her head, simultaneously accepting and respecting the hostility. But it didn't take long for her to lift up her face with an ecstatic smile she couldn't suppress, "Yes, it's me, Loelia-tyke! I was that tyke that snuck out and ran away for too long," Loelia admitted sheepishly, "But I'm stronger now, I don't have to be a guider. I received training from an Immortal Council member and an assassin. I finally feel good enough to be a Regime cat... If you would accept me?"
Havilah wasn't so sure how he felt about the return of the special-needs tyke born of Xuxa and raised by Gabriel. On one paw, she had left the Regime clearly of her own accord but, on the other, she'd just been a kit with a health condition she wanted to find a way to defy. It reminded him strongly of his own deceased sister, Breasel, another young cat cursed with a condition that limited what she could do. He'd watched her wither away to nothing deep in the caves. There had been no healing for her. But Loelia? She seemed to be lucid and mobile, after all, she made it this far. Had leaving the caves really saved her? Would it have saved Breasel?
Bottom line: Loelia fit into Havilah's very small and hard to find soft spot, so he lowered his guard and gave her as close to a smile as hewas capable of, "I'm happy you found your way back to the Regime. It's where cats like you and me belong... but I'm not the one who gets to decide if you are allowed to stay or not. That falls on Commander Shule's shoulders. So. I guess I'll take you to her."
(I know you hate walking RPs so we can just skip to where Havilah brings her to Shule & tag Honey unless you have something more you wanna do xD)
