The grey and silver scout sat by the entrance to the camp waiting patiently to see Shatteredshine. He finished his rounds and now had some free time to do whatever he wished. So he planned on taking the she cat out and about for a good time. She was so fun to be around and she made him feel so good and happy...he was merely lost in thought for a short moment when he noticed a figure heading his way. Intrepidsoul quickly got to his paws with an easy going grin on his face.
Her father had stepped down from leadership moons ago, but Shatteredshine still found herself involved with all of the apprentices. Now it wasn't an obligation, Beestar handled training with much more elegance than Chim had, but she still enjoyed catching up with all the young cats of the clan.
"You did great today," Shatteredshine promised Grumpypaw, beaming down at the stoic apprentice. "You'll catch that hare next time, it was just a little too quick for you, but you had great form." He didn't reply, but as soon as they passed the mouth to the camp, he slipped away from her to sulk behind the apprentice's den.
She shook her head as she reached Intrepidsoul. "He keeps telling me everything is fine, but I know something is wrong," she told him, bothered. But she shook her coat to chase the apprentice from her mind for now and smiled at him. "Done for the day?"

"Give him time and he will come around...Grumpypaw is at an awkward stage in his life and if something is bothering him he will eventually reach out." Intrepidsoul reassured the sweet Shatteredshine as he added," As a matter of fact I have aaand I have the rest of the afternoon and evening off. I'm guessing your off as well?" He gave a small smirk with some mischief showing in his grey eyes. "If you want we can go out on a walk around the area if your up for it."

"I hope so." She was worried about the apprentice; he didn't open up to anyone, not even his family or the medicine cat. How were they supposed to help him? But there was nothing she could do about it now. Intrepidsoul was right, he just needed some time to learn to trust them.
"I was planning on going for a hunt for some good bedding. The queens were complaining that this new moss we found isn't very comfortable, and it keeps falling to pieces, they're worried the kits will choke on it." Shatteredshine shook her head a little. "But a walk sounds nice. I've been working all day. Maybe someone else can look for moss." She turned to scan the camp and spotted Ghostcrown. She bounded over to the tom and talked to him briefly; then, when he nodded, she raced back to Intrepidsoul.

"Well let's go. I don't have a real destination in mind but if you have any suggestions I am open to anything." The two cats walked side by side out of camp and into the wild territory. Intrepidsoul found himself wanting to spend more time with Shatteredshine which wasn't surprised since she was a fun cat to be around but found it interesting. She kept drawing him in and he really didn't know what to say or do about it but to just continue to hang out with her in his spare time. Was the same thing happening to her? Was he developing a crush on the she cat? These ideas and feelings were so alien to the scout he had no clue what to do. Didn't know how to act. For now he would not act on it. Just be himself and let whatever happens happen.
"Let's just walk and see where we end up." Shatteredshine didn't mind where they were going, as long as she was with him. She wasn't sure what to call him - were they friends? - but she liked his company, he was sweet and funny, and she trusted him. The only cat she was closer to was her sister, Sliprabbit, and they had grown up together.
"How was your morning?" She looked over at him with a smile.
