Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
( Due to the harsh conditions of the territory, Shule declares that the Regime will be leaving to find a new territory, and that the clan should prepare to leave within a few days. Your characters can react however you wish! There is no wrong way for them to act/think about this news. c; NOTE :: This thread is PRE CHANGES TO RR, so if your char changed ranks in the AC, you get to rp them as their old rank for the moment! And if you just joined RR, feel free to rp Scout chars as being other ranks to add to their backstory!
Takes place perhaps a day or two after the SunClan volcanic eruption. RR doesn't know what happened, there, but even the Regime's territory is seeing effects.)
Commander Shule was gaunt, and didn't look particularly well as she stood in the center of HQ, gazing over the rest of the Regime. None of them looked well either. Whispers had been going on for a while now if they were just meant to starve in the territory. It felt like it had been one disaster after another. First the flood that overwhelmed even their systems to prevent such a disaster. Then the lack of Scouts forcing Shule to train every able cat to hunt, though they kept their old ranks. And now, they were on the tail end of the worst winter they'd ever had, and though they no longer had snow blocking them deep underground... well, the ash in the sky from the SunClan volcano explosion had left a thin layer over the snowy ground of the group even from such a distance away, the particles raining down on the territory. A few cats had now even begun reporting coughs after inhaling the substance as they hunted what meagre prey could be found on the surface land.
This wasn't an idea she liked to suggest, it hadn't been easy the first time, but currently, she saw no other option. "Regime! Once upon a time, this territory brought us solace, housing us when our old lands were lost. But it has become clear that this place is not built for us to thrive. It had been decided that once again, we must move if we are to survive."
"I think it's a good idea. There's never been a time where some cat didn't go to bed with an empty stomach for as long as I've been alive. This territory holds many memories, but it can't sustain us anymore," Sapphira wasn't speaking as if to address the entire group, but her voice carried well enough given the fact that she was the first cat to speak. Upon realizing this, her ears flattened and she ducked down slightly. It wasn't that she was afraid of her Regime-mate's responses. She just wasn't a big fan of conflict.

"Moving an entire group is not something to be taken lightly," Havilah, on the other hand, had no problem raising his voice for all to hear. As a Sentinel, he was naturally stationed near Commander Shule, but that didn't mean that he was among her supporters. He'd live and die for the Regime if that's what it took, but he would never let any cat steer them toward disaster without at least letting his voice be heard, "Do you have any idea where we are supposed to go?" "I trust in Shule's decision. After all she has thought all of the pro's and con's out by now. Obviously knows that the pro's must be out weighing the con's if she is thinking this. I stand by what she says. She will lead us to a better territory!" Braelynn Kinsley stood firmly behind the Commander and knew this was the right decision for the Regime.
"Because some of us aren't obviously following blindly into this," replied Cadet Topaz Monesi in an annoyed voice speaking louder than the other she cat had. "We DO need to think this out but like to what Havilah said to WHERE? Be out in the open where predators would hunt us or if illness hit us what then? Or food? Or temporary shelter if we travel? If we knew EXACTLY where we were going with an EXACT destination this plan wouldn't be so shakey." Both she cats glared with great disdaine for one another.
Hourglass was silent, even if he had his opinion he didn't speak them outloud.
"I also agree with you... Braelynn." Primus Escale nodded to Braelynn and then to Sapphira to acknowledge his agreement to her statement as well. He was obedient as ever and would side with Shule without hesitation to him.
Alese Soulaine the mercenary didn't care about anything but his family, so he was neither here nor there about it. He wanted his siblings to be well fed, sheltered, and live their lives they were working hard for. So if it meant that the Regime needed to leave for that to happen then he would.
The Commander had to fight the urge to facepalm as Havilah spoke up. Not that he didn't have a point, but sometimes she swore he simply existed to try and challenge her authority. Rather than doing what she actually wanted to, as other spoke up, she took a deep breath. "DayClan gifted the Regime the tunnels under their land quite some time back. Historically, Glowstar has been accomodating to us in times of need, and I doubt she'd have any problems with us living under the clan until we find somewhere new. Their underground isn't likely to fully sustain us, but it is still significantly better than remaining here, and we can hunt in the surrounding area to the forest clans while we search for a proper home."
Jezi didn't mind the idea of moving; she didn't mind her where she lived, but it didn't feel like home. Nowhere had since she'd left SunClan after betraying them. She only stayed because they seemed to need all the help they could get, and she wasn't going to leave them just yet.
It probably helped that she could be a healer and fighter and hunter. Probably the only reason Shule put up with her. The fact that she had nine lives still were almost certainly a bonus in the leader's eyes. She could die eight times and still be completely fine. That was eight more times than most of the other cats could claim. Not that she'd let anyone else know that fact other than the Commander.
She doubted any of them knew about or remembered her short reign as Heda.
Jezi had to fight the urge to claw off Cadet Topaz's ears. While she brought up valid points, they didn't need to be addressed in such a tone. She wasn't that close to the Trainee but she was, however, close enough to strike Havilah.
They didn't have to internally support the decision that Shule was making, but they did have to atleast pretend like they agreed; everyone was looking to them to make their own decisions if they weren't already made.
Her claws flexed and it was only by some form of self control that she didn't attack Havilah.
From somewhere off to the side in a corner, Cadet Caine raised his eyebrows. "Moving, hm?" he smirked, speaking under his breath. His words were directed more to himself than anyone else. "A good idea, in my own humble opinion. The mind stagnates when surrounded by the same thing for too long. Variety is the spice of life, after all." He flicked an ear and examined his claws. "The mention of DayClan gives me pause. I have a very low opinion of outsiders."
"Has anyone properly scouted it and made sure that that tunnels are even safe? DayClan territory has many trees with ever-growing roots as well as several different bodies of water with an ocean to the East. Those two factors alone are the perfect storm for cave-ins and flooding, and that's excluding all of the pest and twoleg activity that's sure to be there as well. Lastly, even though we will be underground, the same food supply that once sustained one group will now be expected to feed two. I'm not sure why Glowstar would agree to this, it seems like a terrible cost on her side, and besides..." Havilah narrowed his eyes and stiffened slightly, his claws slipping out slightly as he repositioned himself. The air around him was suddenly much, much more tense, "... Foxstar is there. How do you know this isn't just some trap to put an end to the Regime once and for all? She has killed Renegade Regime cats for no good reason in the past, and, worse yet, she has ample reason to do so now.”
"I can handle Foxbane just fine. Not to mention, Glowstar wouldn't just let her cause problems. DayClan and the Regime have a long history of alliance, and they've harbored us before when the tunnels flooded. If you genuinely think I would just walk the Regime in a place to be slaughtered, then the best plan in the world couldn't convince you otherwise." Shule's voice was cool as she emphasized the fact that the ex-Priestess' name no longer ended in 'star.' "Would you rather stay here?"

The thought of moving sent a turmoil of nerves squirming in Exolas's stomach. Only because he was sure it had been a good amount of time before they'd ever considered it. It meant hardships ahead, that was for sure. But, there wasn't any arguing that fact that they probably needed this. Clearing his throat, he flicked an ear and piped up, "Not to mention, food has been getting more and more scarce recently. At the rate we're going, we'd have to succumb to eating bugs as a diet," they responded with a slightly amused expression. "I think it might do us some good to uproot, and settle in somewhere new, with more opportunities for growth."
"Right. Historically the Regime has done a great job of keeping Foxbane in line," His words were laced with sarcasm any true Regime cat would know exactly why: When Havilah was a kit, his entire family had been poisoned, resulting in the deaths of both of his parents and most of his littermates. It happened during the same time that Foxbane, then Foxstar, had been kept in the Regime's prisons, so the rumor was that she had somehow managed to sneak away long enough to murder a young family and then return to her quarters unseen. It wasn't realistic but it was all too easy to pin it on the most hated cat of that era and Havilah had never forgotten it, "And if you think for a second that Glowstar would step in to stop Foxbane from committing atrocities, then you're the biggest fool in the forest. But to answer your question... No, I don't want to stay here, but we need to realistically look at all of our options. I don't believe that going to the tunnels of DayClan is our best one. I think we should send some scouts to look for livable territory among the old Survival Clans's lands. It has been long enough since the flood that water has retreated and prey should have returned, in fact, we know it can support a grounp because MoonClan lived there temporarily not that long ago. We will have to abandon some of our traditions, but we will be able to more easily defend our borders and have a more steady food supply. And most importantly..." He narrowed his eyes at Shule, "... We won't be relying on handouts from other groups to make ends meet."

"L-Leaving?" Maggot squeaked from his place next to Lex. He had just gotten here, hoping to stay somewhat close to Winterclan so they could get Bluejay out of there. And now they were going to move? Even the mere thought of running into another clan had his stomach in knots. He knew so little of them, and even the smaller crowd of the Regime was big enough for him to press against Lex for some comfort. Honeystorm

"Even if Glowstar didn't do anything, there's plenty of DayClan cats that would be happy to tear Foxbane apart if she threatened the Regime, and I have no doubt you would be at the front of the line to keep the Regime safe from her if it came to it, Havilah. It's also not a handout, it was gifted to us long ago, and whatever you think of Glowstar, she wouldn't renege on that. It's not a handout when it's ours. I may not like her many times, but there is no doubt that DayClan, and Glowstar, have a long history of aiding the Regime, and likely wouldn't bat an eye if we told her we were moving into the tunnels we own under her clan. Moving our most vulnerable cats there ensures they'll likely have enough prey to last, even if the rest of us are traveling about." It was almost comical, how most of the argument was between the Commander, and her Sentinel grandson. And, considering the Regime itself, it was likely concerning, to some, that Havilah was so willing to fight on something with his leader. Of course, he had the luck of being family, and a special rank at that.
"MoonClan only lived here temporarily, before the blizzard. SwiftClan doesn't even occupy their territory next to ours. Three clans have faded from this territory, and both those following the flood who took up this space only did so for short periods. In the other seasons, yes perhaps we could sustain ourselves, but it does no good to survive for three seasons only to die in leafbare." She pointed out, her eyes drifting from the tom to the rest of the Regime to gauge their general views on the matter, whether in their faces or their words. Shule needed more than just her and Havilah's opinions dominating the conversation. If anyone was willing to speak up that is.
"Havilah, I swear to the BLIND FLIPPIN' PROTECTOR, if you keep us standing here a moment longer whining and fretting. Instead of under the warm forested tunnel floors of DayClan you can be the proud owner of this dirt mountain. I mean we literally imprisoned Foxbane in recent history and I also kidnapped her like a few moons ago so your argument is invalid. Unlike yourself I give our nation a bit more credit to our accomplishments rather than focusing on every defeat. I'm hungry, I'm cold, I want to move and you might be the loudest voice, but you're the only voice against this so let's get going," Sean said, his paws shaking from the cold, anytime he got thin it always felt like the cold could gnaw at his bones more easily without any fat. His white hamster Snowy sat perched above his head, probably the only plump member of the Regime. Not to mention he had a tendency to turn hangry at a moments notice so he hadn't exactly been a pleasant person to be around lately.
"Gifts are hand outs," Havilah growled at Commander Shule. He could have and would have continued to react to the pure lunacy she was spouting longer but then Sean interrupted, causing his focus to shift to his grandfather. Gilded green met gilded green as the red-furred sentinel gave Sean an absolute death stare, "You are just supporting my argument. Foxbane has every reason to hate us for what we've done to her and, at this point, the Regime is bearing its throat for her to slice."
