Kazemir's grin was entirely chaotic, his tail twitching in an almost irritable fashion. That is to say, if he could have even been irritable. More or less, it was just the adrenaline coursing through his veins. The scout had heard Alurela talking about how dangerous the city was; so naturally, he had felt compelled to go there. As if his entire body were simply hardwired with a death wish -- a desire to call down as much trouble for himself as he possibly could. The white and black tom padded evenly towards the city's entrance, his eyes very wide and very bright with mischief.
"Maybe I'll get lucky, and find something insane to take back to the Regime for food," he wondered aloud, the thought sending his pelt into ripples of excitement. Better yet, he added as an afterthought, something he could get a scar or two from. Padding now more slowly, his eyes focused on the odd structures of past Twoleg lives. This place was chilling, haunting. And he loved every second of it.
Through the shadows, another figure wandered through the old city, enjoying the sights that had grown all too familiar to him. Ironically, the city had become something of a safe-haven. Him and his siblings had explored the wreckage many times over, the nooks and crannies that should have been dangerous or ominous becoming like a second home. The days they had spent weaving in and out, avoiding the occasional falling debris and even sometimes narrowly avoiding the attention of roaming predators, were in some ways a bit behind them. There were days when the three would dart back into their old stomping grounds, (despite the punishment for being caught there as adults being much harsher than that of some bumbling cadets), but it was rarer now. And so, being that as it was, that day Randall had come alone, moving through the city with careful step.
It just so happened he noticed the other tom moving through the city. Truly it was a mixture of luck and being able to quickly spot anything that seemed out of place: After all, the total area was huge, and finding another cat, even if more than one was lurking down there, was somewhat a matter of finding a needle in a haystack. But that just made the tom even more curious; part of him wondered how many times the other cat had wandered the city, whether they visited as frequently as him and his siblings once had, or if this was his first and second time. Instead of directly confronting the other cat, Randall was content to, at least temporarily, watch from the shadows and see what the other tom was up to.

He continued on, his eyes wide with wonder. Kazemir sniffed at one of many the stray pebbles cluttering the floor of the city. He pawed at it once, before growing bored with it and leaving it be. Continuing on, he scrabbled up one of the broken, rubble buildings that had fallen forward. A large, looming window was atop it, inviting him closer. Scrabbling up the slope of the building, he peered into it as he reached the top, a slight shiver of apprehension. And, just as quickly as he'd peeked in, he let out a muffled cry of surprise as a chorus of squeaks fluttered all around him.
He stumbled forward as the bats whisked past him, causing him to loose his footing, and tumble down into the corridor below. He huffed with an alarmed noise, scrabbling up and panting slightly from the sudden shock. "Oops," he mumbled, hearing his voice echo and carry through the walls.
Randall couldn't help but laugh at the sight, assuming with that his question of whether the tom was a common wanderer of the area was well enough answered. Although he figured the tom was fine, he made the effort of fully unveiling himself from his hinding spot; though he'd probably laughed loud enough to give himself away anyways.
With a grace only a cat far too familiar with the layout and passages of the city could manage, he quickly moved down to where Kazemir had tumbled. "You okay?" Randel asked, though the question bore less curiosity in it's tone and more lingering mirth from watching the tom's fall.

His ears flicked down instantly at the announcement of another cat, though he shook it off quickly and grinned wickedly at the other tom, his eyes blazing with excitement. "Oh, y'know. Totally didn't smash my face into the floor or anything--" he wiped at the small amount of blood coming from his nose, giving a wink, before continuing"--but it's all good. Nothing I can't handle, anyways. Tough as rock, I am."
"I can see that." Randall said with a small laugh, figuring that, despite the blood, if the tom said he was fine he was probably fine. And if he wasn't, worry over him wouldn't have done much anyways, other than maybe bruise an ego.
"I'm guessing you don't come down here often though?" The tom pried, a hint of amusement still playing at his voice from the earlier scene, but this time it actually was mixed with a bit on intrigue, though he assumed he already knew the answer from what he'd seen prior. Even still, the question he figured would make way for more interesting ones, like why the tom had gone down to the city in the first place. After all, it wasn't exactly a place you were typically suppose to be, and something told Randall the tom hadn't gotten himself an invite.
