She uncurled from her sleeping spot, blinking furiously before getting up into a large, luxurious stretch. It was a bit sad to leave a dream full of green forests, and beautifully lit blue sky above. But she shook away the longing, giving a slight sigh. Isla turned her attention towards the little buds she had been tending to, before her little nap. She was tirelessly tending to the gardens that she'd nurtured, careful to make sure that everything was still growing. She took her job very serious, and wouldn't be caught slacking off.
Carefully, she hummed to herself a lullaby her mother had probably once sung to her, and dug her paws into the earth. She repeated this process, scooping pawfuls of dirt until six or so little holes decorated the earth about her. The next was the easiest. She nudged with her nose the little clippings of herbs and greenery she had collected, wondering if these would also grow into beautifully blossoming supplies as well. Lastly was collecting some water, which she had turned to do, before her face slammed into a wall of fur. Giving a startled squeak, Isla scrabbled back, though was careful to not trod on the clippings she had just planted. "Sorry," she mumbled, ducking her head apologetically, and adding sheepishly, "I didn't hear you come up."
"It's fine." The response was short and sharp, a hint of annoyance to the tone. Still, Adeline made a concerted effort to back up herself and give the guider room. "I didn't mean to get in your way." The apology was dry at best and incredibly insincere at worst, with a sort of flippant nonchalantness to it that only barely shied away from being straight rude.
"Hey, so do you know where I can go to see someone about my paw? Managed to cut it like a moron and I'd like to get it treated so I can get back to work as soon as possible." She asked, the request possibly as brusque as humanely possible.

Isla tilted her head ever so slightly as she listened to the feline, biting back an amused laugh that she knew would only add fuel to the fire. Instead, the plumey she-cat nodded her head in understanding, letting her smile only lift to be gentle and patient. "Well, seeing as the Regime has been without a head healer, I wouldn't mind taking a look at it," she responded, sitting so that she could better use her paws. "Would you mind holding your injured paw out for me? Also explain what happened so I can best know how to treat it."
Adeline hesitated a moment, before doing so, outstretching her paw that had a relatively deep, but not all that terribly uncommon puncture wound. Even without speaking, it wouldn't have been hard for the guider to guess that the she cat had managed to step on a slightly sharp stone or crystal, likely something fairly big and heavy too, since while the wound was pretty deep, it seemed clean with nothing left fully within it and no remanant of what caused the puncture.
"Happened to be hunting in the crystal caves and I guess I wasn't looking where I was going. I think I sliced it open on one of the sharper crystals or rocks in there, but I'm not exactly sure. I was trying to catch something and really didn't check the wound out until the thing I was chasing managed to get out of sight." The she cat explained, a hint of agitation still marring her voice as she recalled the catch she lost.

She nodded as the she-cat spoke, very gently letting her paw bump into Adeline's so that she knew where it was, before she gently brushed over the top of the paw-pad and began to feel where exactly the jagged piece had lodged itself. It was thankfully not completely buried in the pad, but still a bit too deep in for her taste. With a nod she let go of her paw and flitted back into the herb nursery she kept, letting her nose guide her. Finally she found what she was searching for. Celandine, Poppyseed, and oddly enough some ground up salt rock that grew within the caverns.
She bundled it al up with some cobweb and moss, before returning and stopping just short of where she remembered Adeline being. Dropping her bundle, she took the ground salt rock and began to mix it with a small puddle of water, before directing her injured paw gently towards the pool before saying, "We have to wait a bit, but this should help draw out the wound a little bit, so that it's easier for me to get it out. It'll sting at first though, just warning you."
"Gotcha'. Already figured it wasn't going to feel nice." Adeline said, in possibly the most straightforward and blunt manner possible. She could already feel a tinge of pain from putting her paw in the water, the change in temperature seeming to temporarily upset the injury before the pain cooled off into a noticeable, but not necessarily sore, throbbing.
"So. You said it'll take a "little bit." How long are we talking about?" Adeline asked, impatience lacing her words as she was already eager to leave and get back to her day. She'd decided she'd almost rather risk infection than having to wait in this place for hours.

She couldn't suppress a small giggle of amusement from herself, despite the she-cat's obvious annoyance and eagerness to leave. With a small flick of her ear, Isla responded, "Only a little bit more. After that I only need to ad the poultice and wrap it up." She settled in, making sure the things she'd need were all sorted out before her, and hummed to herself lightly, before glancing in the general direction of Adeline again. "So what's so important to return to, then? It must be extremely important to make you so antsy."
