Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Jetstar Jetstar's head was held high as she entered the central main gathering place. All of the clans would be assembling here tonight, and it would be the second time she'd see Bloodystar after she gave him the scare of a lifetime. She'd made sure to have SpringClan leave early to ensure they'd be there before anyone else.
A grin stretched across her face as she saw the leader's place, her eyes lighting up. She made her way over to it, before pausing. She turned to address her clan.
"Feel free to mill about as you'd like." She told them, blue eyes bright. "I have a feeling that tonight's going to be a good night." She said, having to resist the urge to let out a chuckle. She turned and continued over to the central tree.
SwiftClan For the first time since their founding, SwiftClan was conspicuously absent.
No matter how long the other clans waited, the newest clan would never show; they had moved on from these parts and found other clans to live among. Surely their absence would pierce the Mountain Clans with the keenest sense of grief, and their cries would stretch far as wide as they mourned the best group of cats they had ever known, as they longed for the feasts that now would never come.
Meanwhile, Chimerastar was unhappily living in a dirty ditch arguing with his warriors about how nice their disgusting new home was.
SpringClan Ravenpaw scowled as he glanced around the empty clearing. The leggy black-and-white tom hated that he had been chosen to come today, but he respected authority however reluctantly, and with the same ferocity that he resisted his denmates. He stalked past the others to find an isolated spot to wait for the other clans to arrive.
Ratstar The one-eyed leader of Summerclan arrived shortly after Jetstar and Springclan, dismissing his surprisingly small group of warriors with a smile and absentminded wave of his tail before bounding over to the leader's tree. Ratstar had only met the new Springclan leader once previously, but the pair had discussed at-length their plans for both this crucial gathering, as well as the coming Leaf-Bare that loomed over their heads. "Come 'ere often?" He meowed jokingly, dipping his head to her in greeting. "Don't jus' look up at it, you're a leader now, go on an' take ya rightful place." With a purr of laughter, the brown tabby began climbing up the trunk, settling down on a branch that was a bit higher than his usual seat.
Seasparkleflash Seasparkleflash stared after his leader with vague concern in his hazel gaze; something was different tonight, though the dusty-ginger warrior wasn't quite sure what. Ratstar had chosen far fewer warriors for the gathering than he normally did, with most of the Red Guard staying behind to watch camp. Was it just because the leader was an overprotective new father? Shaking off his apprehensions, he glanced around the sparse field, looking for someone to talk to.
Jetstar Jetstar glanced at him, and her expression softened marginally, before determination once more filled her gaze and she climbed up after him settling on a branch at a similar height. It was amazing to be the one up high standing above everyone now.
And now she'd have a perfect view of when Bloodycrow walked in. She was going to enjoy this.
Softpelt Softpelt felt constantly on edge. She found herself constantly looking around waiting for the other shoe to drop. Things were going well, but she couldn't shake the feeling of guilt and unease. She noted a cat looking around, and hoping that perhaps some chatting might help distract her. "Hi, you wondering how this gathering is going to go down too?" She asked.

Dayclan Goldenstar wasn't sure how this would go, how she would keep herself together during the announcement. It was the anxiety that made her lead the clan in early. As she entered the grove, she paused as her clan trickled in, staring up at the tree she was about to climb. A few rested their tails on her shoulders and one of her kits licked her cheek. The vote of confidence they had in her. She couldn't let them down. So she took a deep breath and walked forward, climbing up to one of the branches just a little higher than Ratstar's. She dipped her head in greeting, admittedly not knowing the new Springclan leader's name and didn't wanna mess it up.
Primal Instinct Oh god, he didn't wanna be here. Didn't wanna be the new Chimerastar and bring his whole damn clan to a gathering. Didn't want everyone to know their huge territory was being torn up. And really, Funk E'tan didn't think any of Primal Instinct would mind missing this gathering. But here they were, the Nemesis and a small group of hunters with him. They didn't look that ragged yet, it had only been a few days since the construction began. But there was a shine of tiredness in their eyes.
Worse yet, he was early. His hunters knew what to do, and he dismissed them with a wave of his tail. For now, their makeshift camp was close to their border with Dayclan. And he left a good chunk of his clan there in case they needed to move. Funk couldn't be Chimerastar, though it was possible a few trainees and younglings had snuck into the group to see the gathering. He also wouldn't be surprised if he came back and the hunters were there with all sorts of prey they stole from the other clans. It was as good of a time as any. He didn't really care. Long as they kept the alliances intact. He climbed to his usual spot on the tree, up high where he could see everything. "Hello Ratstar. Jetstar. Goldenstar." Funk purred to the three leaders, acting like nothing was unusual.
Primal Instinct Vera Lynn followed Funk into the clearing, her small frame a little on the thin side. Yet she otherwise looked like she always did, neatly groomed and poised. Her green eyes scanned the clearing to see who was around. So far it just looked like SpringClan and SummerClan, two groups she didn’t recall had any animosity towards the League. Of course she did not imagine that would last as the league was currently homeless and more than willing to trespass in search of prey. Plus everyone always seemed so helpful when everything was going great, but suddenly had nothing to share when others were in trouble. Vera Lynn settled down, wrapping her tail over her paws and waited for the gathering to start.
Jetstar blinked when a cat she didn't recognize climbed up to join the tree. She tried to subtly scent the air to try and discern which clan she was when Funk E'tan greeted her. Surprised by being recognized she turned and then understanding hit her.
Right, she'd been a prisoner back in Primal Instinct, she was rather impressed the Nemesis had been that attentive. So she gave him a nod in return. "I wasn't expecting anyone outside of the forest to possibly remember my name," She admitted. 'Though I hope Bloodycrow comes in screeching it in fury.' Jetstar thought silently.
She turned to Goldenstar. "But I'm afraid I must admit I'm unfamiliar with you, you smell of DayClan-" Her expression became somber, "Has something happened to Glowstar?" She asked softly.
SpringClan Dancingdragon was closely followed by Raggedpaw as the pair filtered in behind Jetstar. The Trusted chose a place next to Softpelt, about as close as she could get to the leaders' area, but her attention on her leader never wavered. She appeared particularly disgruntled seeing Funk E'tan, the fur along her spine bristling at the memory of the attack the league had led on her precious clan moons before. They'd lost one leader due to that; she wouldn't see it happen again, peace treaty or not.
Meanwhile, Raggedpaw eagerly assimilated herself into the already gathered cats. The apprentice was always looking for friends to make and this was the perfect time to do so.
DAYCLAN Peachblush padded into the clearing with the rest of DayClan, nerves on high alert. This was his first gathering after a series of absences that he would categorise as "professionally embarrassing". It wouldn't do him any good to remain ignorant to the politics of the forest anymore, even if his life had somehow become more of a living hell recently than it had been when he'd retreated into himself in the first place. He took a seat near the rest of his Clan, gave the SpringClanners a wary glance, then shifted over slightly so he was more or less in between DayClan and SpringClan. It didn't help calm his nerves like he thought it would.
SPRINGCLAN "Wait, Raggedpaw, wait for me!" Coralpaw huffed, grimacing as her tail accidentally connected with a stranger's--not out of disgust, but from an uncomfortable feeling of being caged in. Too many cats, not enough ways out. She grimaced. Of course, the very first gathering she gets to go to and she finds out she's agoraphobic. Why wouldn't that be the case?
"When did you get so fast?" Coralpaw frowned, catching up to Raggedpaw. The other she-cat was gaining too much of a will of her own. Coralpaw didn't like that. Who the hell else was gonna spend time with her? "C'mon, let's find someone on our level."
MOONCLAN Marvelcanvas made her way to the gathering, a small patrol of MoonClan cats following behind her. It was a night of many firsts for her. Her first time as MoonClan, her first time as MoonClan's not quite official leader. The first gathering since SunClan had driven MoonClan out of their territory. It had been a long trek to get there from BrookClan's old territory but they had made it. Once in the clearing the flame-point she cat dipped her head in greeting to the other leaders noting two new faces among them. Once of whom was all too familiar to her.
"Jetstar" she greeted, relaxing slightly at the sight of her former clan-mate. "It's good to see you."
Jetstar turned towards Marvelcanvas, squinting as she tried to place her for a moment. She was definitely from SunClan, but what clan was she apart of now. 'Apparently all the clans in the forest decided to get a new leader, I don't think you're SunClan's new leader so you're either MoonClan or NightClan.'
"Same to you," The name returned to her. "Marvelcanvas, or, Marvelstar now, I take it?" She asked.
SpringClan "Coralpaw!" A delighted purr escaped her, and Raggedpaw's tail curled enthusiastically as her friend drew close to her. She could tell by Coralpaw's demeanor that she was uncomfortable among their adversaries. The brown tabby, however, was still thrilled to be experiencing a Gathering for the first time, which quashed down any shyness she might have felt. "Who do you think fits the bill?" She scanned the clearing for someone who might be considered worthy, but she could only begin to guess what fulfilled Coralpaw's criteria.
"Raggedpaw, it's nice to see you again!" A fluffy well groomed ginger tom cat prowled over to Raggedpaw and Coralpaw. He was alone for the moment, though he'd told Spring that if she wanted to stick with him she was more than welcome to.
He turned his head to Coralpaw. "And is this a friend of yours?" He asked tilting his head
Coralpaw blinked as the ginger tom approached her and Raggedpaw, suppressing the urge to give him one of her patented death glares. Since when did Raggedpaw have other friends? Servalpaw didn't count, because Coralpaw knew him well enough to know she was easily the superior friend (and also the superior feline, if she was gonna put it all on the table). But this guy? Coralpaw didn't know him at all, and she didn't like that.
"Coralpaw," she said, plastering on a smile as sweet as she could manage. "Raggedpaw and I are best friends. Aren't we, Raggedpaw?" she purred. "But enough about me. Who are you? I don't think Raggedpaw's ever told me about you."
Solarpaw considered Coralpaw a moment, then he shrugged. "Unsurprising, we met at the apprentice party. Anyone that was anyone was there," He added with a laugh. "Radiantpaw throws great parties, perhaps next time I can tell Raggedpaw when another party is going down so you can be there too."
Her delight was quickly curtailed by the tension that she felt spark under Coralpaw's pelt. "Hi Solarpaw," she managed to squeak out, eyes twinkling despite her anxiousness, and she nudged her friend gently. "I told you I met some nice cats at that party, remember? You nodded but then you saw Leopardkit taking something from the fresh-kill pile and went to tell her off." Though, regardless of how she currently felt, she couldn't help but be elated that she was designated as Coralpaw's best friend. How lucky!
Her ears twitched nervously at Solarpaw's remarks. That wasn't going to go over well...
"Marvelcanvas still" she clarified, slightly embarrassed that she was addressing a full leader when she herself wasn't. "I haven't had the chance to receive my lives since... we had to move." she explained. She wasn't quite ready to explain how her brother had driven MoonClan off their ancestral home though she was sure every clan in attendance knew the story by now. Jetclaw
Coralpaw felt her blood pressure skyrocket as Solarpaw talked. Anyone who was anyone was there, huh? Now that he mentioned it, Coralpaw did vaguely remember hearing about some kind of apprentice party or whatever, but she hadn't attended. She'd been...busy, with something that was probably way more important than a dumb party filled with cats she didn't care about and couldn't predict. Much like this gathering, in fact. Yeah, definitely the right decision not to go.
Coralpaw huffed and turned to Raggedpaw. "You know I don't remember anything you tell me," she muttered. "Whatever, I'm pretty busy training under Jetstar, so I don't know if I could even find the time to go to a party." Her ear flicked. "Jetstar's my mentor, by the way."
Wispycloud arrived with the rest of the SummerClan cats, her eyes scanning the crowd for Windyhurricane and her siblings that had all gone to WinterClan with him. She wasn't sure if the mountain Clan was going to attend or not but she was hopeful.
DAYCLAN
Heatherpaw had insisted on going to this Gathering but, now that she was here, she couldn't even dream of stepping away from the main DayClan group. Her little heart was beating a mile a minute and, as a result, her squirrel companion reached up and stroked her face. At first she flinched but after she realized who it was she couldn't help but smile, "You're right, I should calm down. This can't be too bad. Cats come here all the time..."
Yuccablossom as usual found her way over to the leaders, but she didn't climb the tree not did she seem very chatty. With Glowstar gone it felt... weird being here at all. So, she just sat their quietly, fiddling with an anchor she found somewhere between here and DayClan's camp.
PRIMAL INSTINCT
Kissy was a full member of Primal Instinct now so of course she was going to participate in her first Gathering in many moons! She ran head-first into a group of cats she did not recognize and stopped just short of bowling them over, "HI! I'm Caramelc--- I mean, Kissy! Nice to meet you!"
SUMMERCLAN Goldenstar, soon to be Marvelstar...the Forest Clans were making some sudden changes in leadership, weren't they? It was about time, but he wasn't about to change his mind now, not after he and his Deputy had made their final decision. Only time would tell if these new leaders would be trustworthy, best to leave Jetstar converse with them. Instead Ratstar turned his attention to the only present leader he was familiar with. "Long time no see, Funk E'tan. How's the League goin'?" strawberrycupid
Seasparkleflash wandered around on his own for a while, awkwardly milling about as cat after unfamiliar cat filed into the clearing. It was only when he padded up to the roots of the leader tree that he spotted a face he hadn't seen in a very long time. "Yuccablossom, is that you?" He meowed in pleasant surprise, bounding over to his former Waterclan clanmate. "It's been a while, how have you been?" The tabby tom paused, noticing her downcast state. "Hey...are you alright?" Jadie
