Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Honestly, Chim didn't care who the new cat was. The simple fact that Firetooth was training his replacement was enough for him. He wasn't going to let the medicine cat stick around forever, and as soon as this young paw was capable of being on her own, he was going to make some moves to do away with her bitter mentor. There was no way she could be worse, so he didn't have much to worry about.
Apparently, she didn't feel the same. Chim had noticed someone following him a short while ago, but he thought she might give up and leave. Instead, she seemed insistent on creeping after him as he went about his day. He was getting tired of it.
"I see why Firetooth chose you to be his apprentice instead of a warrior," he meowed calmly as he continued along the riverbank. He didn't bother to look back at Freckledpaw. "Your stalking needs some work."
