Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Honeystorm (Just a conversation for Kaisra to have spied on. But anyone's welcome to have overheard or witnessed the end of the discussion!)
"How could you?"
The blood dripped down Sean's cheek, light, barely a trace as he placed a paw up to the scratch, "That's what I asked too, how could I take care of four kits when their mom was missing. I used to be upset, I used to say how could he, when I thought about my dad not being there. But when I met him I realized the kindest thing he could have done for me was leave my life as fast as possible. He wouldn't have been a good dad, I wouldn't have been a good dad to my kits. I'm glad Lex gave them more than I could have at the time."
"He LEFT, he left because he was a selfish man and I was not a fool to love him like everyone told me," Eartha said with tears in her eyes, her paw cupped around her muzzle, "Do you know why your sister was so small? No one in the entire underworld wanted either you or her. Everyone around here guilts me for what I did to Lilith, what they think I did to her, but what they did was try to kill you before you were born."
"That's not true."
Eartha turned to look at Sean slowly, "Believe what you want, I kept it from you long enough," She said, after a moment her still expression softened into a tired smile, "I just..." Her paw touched the side of her forehead, "Wanted someone to not abandon me, so that's all I wanted for you. For you to stay in the Regime, for the people who walk into your life to stay there."
Sean held her gaze for a long moment, "Sometimes I wonder if I was mad at Glow because she left me or mad because you told me to be. I'm not mad that she left because she didn't leave me, she left you. And you know, at first I really wondered why you liked Senescence or any of the other kits not in the Regime, but I see it for what it is. You like someone who's loyal to where their from, loyal to their family. But I'm not so loyal anymore so you can find a new favorite because I'm not it."
"I'll bring our family back together one way or another," Eartha assured him as Sean moved to leave. Her distant gaze trained on the floor when Sean turned back to look at her.
"No," Sean said with an amused smile, "You like being old and miserable too much to want any semblance of happiness." He turned and left leaving Eartha entirely alone.

Kaisra had been wondering what Eartha's deal was for a while now. She got lots of speculation, but until she was only a few paces or so away, round a curve in the tunnel, eavesdropping, it didn't quite click. Such a simple answer, but it made lots of sense, didn't it? Certainly it fit in line more than many of the other suggestions, like fur color. Unfortunately for the wannabe spy, Sean had taken the exact wrong way to leave, and she gave him a flash of a smile, choosing not to be apologetic, and instead just leave it for what it was. "Nice day to ditch one's mom, isn't it?" She mused, tilting her head slightly at him.

"Yeah, must be nice to have the choice, huh Grampa Sean." Cadet Huntleigh was there, which was as convenient as it was frustrating. Especially since he could not keep a secret despite how good he was at hiding. He was slowly growing bigger, poofier. Couldn't wind his way around his cousin's legs like he used to. These were probably not the kinds of conversations Eartha wanted him to overhear but oh well. Not that it all made sense. A little went over his head. He had been too focused on his own drama to even remember everyone else's. Briefly, his sapphire gaze flickered back to the tunnel Sean just came out of. Where Eartha still was.
"Well at least I've figured out a mystery that's lasted way too long." The Sentinel sighed, "So, what's it like not being the favorite anymore? Feel any different?" Perhaps she shouldn't be so casual about having eavesdropped, but for some reason, Kaisra didn't seem to care all that much. Maybe because she'd been older when she walked into her parents' lives.

"You'll get used to it." Cadet Huntleigh spoke so casually, it was like he was actually over it. But he wasn't, and everyone knew that. He felt bad for Sean, but his mind was still fixated on himself. No matter where he looked, it'd be a mirror shining back at himself. And maybe he was still a bit too innocent to really understand the implications and drama.
