Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Superior Raiser Eartha sat down with Kotori, Havilah and Huntleigh spread out in front of her. Unfortunately this discussion had to take place in the prison unit in order for them to include Kotori. Legends made him sound like he had to have claws like scythes, a spy possibly more talented and more vindictive than Green, but in person he was on the smaller side, a runt really.
"Nice of you boys to show up, I'll get to it. I believe our interests are the same, we've been hurt, we want to fight back. Seems to me, every time we try to fight back solo someone always gets in the way. So here's my proposal, any spectacular idea you have in mind for someone I'll give you the resources to do the job. In return to me you must each behave yourselves especially around Shule. She doesn't trust me, but if she starts seeing that even the boys she couldn't tame are listening to me I'll earn her trust, which means I'll be able to help you more. However... When we get down to it we are family, which means you must all be willing to help one another. Sound like something you boys might be interested in?" Eartha asked, her smile was softer than a cloud, a pleased expression. Each of the toms in front of her were talented in their own right, but more importantly they had desires that could not be extinguished so easily.
Kotori's fur spiked up, what did that mean that Shule didn't trust her? His mom had seemed so proud when he started to forgive Sean, did he really want to throw that all the way? A strong heartbeat inside of him pounded harder at his chest as he thought more about it. Why should he give his dad any mercy though? Really, how much had Sean changed other than he was willing to do the minimal amount of decency to find his two missing daughters? "I'm in," He said with a shrug, withholding any visible distrust he had for Eartha in regards to his mom. Something to keep an eye on.

"Mildly so, G-G-Ma Eartha." Cadet Huntleigh was the youngest of the three, his heritage and target obvious by the moon-shaped mark next to his eye. And sure, he could play partners to Rottenpaw. But he wasn't so keen on playing second banana to Eartha's schemes. He was the prince, the one Shule and Sean poured their time and attention on. If they had good reason not to trust Eartha, should he? Huntleigh needed more. "But I don't care for Uncle Sean to die, and that's Kotori's whole operation. How will we get through that?"
Havilah was sitting close to Eartha, in the absence of more suitable parental figures he'd latched on to her, becoming one of her few family members to frequent her den with treats and conversation. Of course, he'd never freely admit to favoring her, but Kotori and Huntleigh were probably onto him. Havi was in a never-ending bad mood and he was half-smiling right now. It was suspicious.
"I am happy to work with you, Eartha, but I am not sure about them," Havilah said warmly, then turned his head and scowled at first Kotori and then Huntleigh, "Sean is annoying. Dusky is an idiot. But neither of them are bad cats or fathers. I will help you with other tasks, but I refuse to turn again them unless you can give me a convincing reason to do so. Can you?"

"Says you." Cadet Huntleigh huffed. He didn't budge, couldn't let himself budge on that. They just didn't know. Huntleigh didn't add anymore though. He needed to hear what Eartha would say.
"I think for as much as our bloodlust for certain revenge consumes us we can all agree that killing will bring us much pleasure, but not where we want to be in the world. So my suggestion is simple, our primary goal is to give you boys as much control as possible and once you have it... Who you decide to kill is fair game, but you each have power by then so if you dislike what the other is up to you'll have more than enough resources to try to stop the other. But for now let's focus on being a team hm? We can focus on personal family kills once you have the power to avoid consequence. That's fair, yes? I understand if you purely want the glory of the kill, but your grandma cares about giving you boys revenge and a good life, yes?" Eartha said soothingly.
"Havilah what if I could make you a superior? Huntleigh, I can find a way to send whatever family member you want back to the Regime and any you don't want feeling very. Very sorry. And Kotori... I can find what you lost. And then once you have all those things or people that give you fulfillment then we can go our separate ways. Kill who we want to kill. But by then if one of your family members has a target you don't like you'll have more than enough resources to be equally matched to them."

Eartha had a point, but now Huntleigh's gaze became colored. Where he could have seen allies before, now he saw enemies. Only held together by the thin ties of boosting their own status. He didn't really know how to take down Kotori or Havilah either, as he'd been far more focused on Duskslayer. Paranoia began to take him over before he shook it off, for the moment. He had a hard time seeing how Eartha's offer would really help him. He wouldn't have the manpower to beat a superior, or all of Kotori's Nightclan buddies. Huntleigh didn't completely trust Eartha either, not after what he saw. But he stayed quiet again, like he was thinking. But waiting to see what Havilah would say.
"Huntleigh, you can have any belief that you want in the whole wide world, but you'll prove yourself an idiot if you can't back it up," Havilah said sharply, but there wasn't hate in his voice, he was just being blunt. After the cadet's parents have left for SunClan, Havilah had more or less taken him under his wing. Their anger had different roots but came from the same place: The person who destroyed their family needed to suffer. In other words, he empathized with him, perhaps even pitied him some. The sentinel looked as if he was about to add to his statement but then Eartha cut in and he fell silent immediately.
Him? Superior? What a joke! It was no secret that Shule was not his biggest fan. Havilah was pretty sure that the only reason he was given the rank of Sentinel at all was because she wanted to keep him close so it was easier to watch him. Superior would be too close, though, but it was also no secret that he was hungry for the power. Power was everything to him, it was in fact the only lesson he learned from his father before his untimely death... but... could Eartha really devlier?
"Eartha, I have no doubt that you will do everything in your power to fulfill your side of the bargain, but..." He hated doubting her, but Havilah wasn't an idiot, "If we do as you say, what guarantee do we have that you can do what you say? Anyone can make promises."
"An impossible miracle comes from impossibly terrible crimes. Are you sure you want to know all the details of what I'm willing to do to make sure you get to your goal? Or would you like to bite into your reward and not have to think about what I had to do to get you there?" Eartha asked.
The answer only gave him more questions. In fact, the answer was a question, it just turned the spot-light right back around to him. Havilah was initially at a loss for words although his face did not reveal anything. After a few moments ticked by, he sighed and looked away from Earth, she'd won, "I... I guess not. I'll trust you."
It sort of felt like making a deal with the devil, but oddly, Havilah didn't feel dirty. Kyros's lessons echoed in the back of his mind, do whatever you can to honor the family... even if it meant using unsavory methods to do so.

That left Huntleigh to agree, but his mind still danced with questions. He wasn't quite like Kotori and Havilah though. He was still on Sean and Shule's good sides and wanted it to stay that way. And associating with Eartha was not a good way to do that. But he needed the help, the power. Just the thought of it sent his mind whirring, like a jolt of electricity was shot through him. Looking up at Eartha, Huntleigh did want to know. Every single thing she could do. What her plans were. The thought of learning made his paranoia peak up again, and he remembered he was surrounded by cats who wanted to keep this little meeting a secret, by any means necessary.
He was in a lose lose situation, but he couldn't deny how the promises made him feel. "I'll join in too then." For now, he managed to hold back from adding
