Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Quick as a bolt of lighting, swift-footed Allaria-tyke sprung from her hiding place and landed a pretty powerful blow - for a kit, anyways - against Commander Shule's shoulder. She made sure she was a full fox-length away before she whipped around and met her grandmother's gaze head-on, "Tag, you're it!"
Before Shule had the chance to react, the little kit had already taken off down a narrow tunnel. She was absolutely not supposed to be here. Post Kilo was far away an in the opposite direction that she had run.

Shule barely had the chance to react as a faint 'tap' hit against her shoulder. For the Commander... it was pretty much inconsequential, it didn't even sting, though she did feel the hit itself. Allaria-tyke definitely wasn't supposed to be out this far... not without an adult at least. Though, by now, she'd pretty much learned none of her kits or grandkits seemed to have adhered to that rule as tykes.
She hadn't expected to be tagged, though once she realized, she turned and raced after the tyke, as much to try and capture the young she-cat as to engage in play with her.
Little did Commander Shule know, or so Allaria-tyke had hoped, there was a kitten-sized grove in the tunnel wall. She had just enough of a head start to shove herself into the hole and wait for her grandmother to get past her. It was the perfect trick! Shule would be chasing her in the wrong direction and Allaria would go and take a seat in Shule's nest, waiting for her grandmother's walk of shame after losing the trail. It was flawless. All except for the fact that her tail was sticking out...

Shule indeed almost ran past Allaria. That is, until she noticed the twitching tail at the edge of her vision in the last moment and she slowed, only a few paces ahead, scenting the air. Yep, that tail must be Allaria. "Where could she have gone?" The Commander questioned, padding forward a few steps before glancing back at the tail with the barest hint of a smile, then pretending like she hadn't been looking at all, swinging her head between both ends of the tunnel, back to her granddaughter.
Allaria's tail twitched as she failed to hide back her giggles. She'd done it! She'd fooled the Commander!
"Where could she have gone?"
"I'm right here, silly!" With a playful growl, Allaria jumped in front of Shule's path, her trail sticking straight in the air, "Fooled you!" Because Shule could respond, the dark-furred she-cat was at it again, except this time she had a little extra confidence. Her goal was to run right between her grandmother's legs and back toward where she had first 'attacked' her.

Unlike before, Shule was prepared this time. She spun to face the voice, an unusually light smile gracing her face as she let the other race between her legs before spinning and running after her. Allaria might be fast, but she was still young, so the Commander didn't need to try to hard to keep up. At the last moment, the ebony she-cat lunged, grasping the tyke in white paws and giving a dramatic roll as she tucked the kitten safely to her check. "Got you." She purred, coming to a stop on her back and winking at Allaria-tyke.
Allaria-tyke's high-picked squeaks and giggles echoed down the tunnel as she tussled with Shule. She was struggling to get away but not really, she was having a blast rolling around on the ground in the arms of her dear grandmother. After a few minutes of this game, she finally settled down and nuzzled her head into Shule's flank, purring up a storm and clearly ready for a nap, "I love you Mawmaw Shule."

Shule let out a soft laugh. "I love you too, Allaria." She gently picked up the sleepy kitten, deciding to head to Headquarters, and her own nest instead of Post Kilo. She could let someone know to tell Unseen where her tyke was.
It wasn't a long walk, luckily, and soon she was setting the she-cat in her nest and laying down beside her. Unless something came up, she didn't have anything immediate going on, so she could spare the time to just spend it with her family, specifically this grandkit.
Allaria-tyke had worn herself out some with all of her running around from earlier so by the time they made it back to Shule's nest, she was yawning and staggering slightly. Oh, the joys of kittens, the only age that could truly go from one hundred to zero in two seconds flat. She made herself little spoon to Shule and snuggled right up against her belly fur. Although she was weaned at this point, the instinct to make biscuits was too hard to resist, and her little white paws kneaded against her grandmother's stomach, a cute miniature massage, "Tell me the story..." She asked fighting back another yawn, "... about the time you met Grandpaw Sean."
