Huntleigh-tyke swiped at the same bauble for what was surely the 79th time today. And it wasn't even noon. Not that he knew, stuck under the ground. It was lame, curiosity burned in his stomach. But the Regime was as militant as ever, raisers and others keeping an eye on the trouble maker kit. It must have been the 80th time a glare of light hit one of his eyes that flipped his mind. He never knew what to make of these moments, where his body cooled and became numb. Like he wasn't even there. Like he was someone else entirely and could only watch as his body flipped over and let out a squeak.
