lakota x symmetry
What did it take for a girl to get some attention around here? Lakota sighed wistfully as she passed by a younger couple making eyes at each other. She turned away from them, jealousy lingering in her chest even after she walked out of Post Echo and through the leaky caverns. I'll never have any kits of my own at this rate, she worried. Soon I'll be old, and I won't be able to chase after any tykes then. She huffed again as she turned a sharp corner, taking the route she knew to Post Kilo. Well, if I can't have any of my own, at least I can play with the ones we already have. The weight in her heart seemed to loosen a little at the affirmation, and she arrived at the mouth to the cave. It was dark, but her eyes saw all things in black and white. Peering around, she saw a few tykes wrestling together, play-fighting and pinning down each other's tails. A warm smile crossed her face.

“ Lakota," he meowed with a hearty purr. He wasn't used to felines who weren't guiders or raisers or parents coming around these parts, but that didn't mean they weren't welcome. He was more than happy to see the mercenaries and scouts show some interest in the little ones. A smile was painted on his boyish features. "What brings ya 'round here?"
Despite the fact that he was, too, growing older, he spoke and held himself was still very young. It was no wonder why he got along so well with the kittens, even though older cats wondered if he was too old to be running around with the babes. "Come ta see any'ne in partic'ar?"
