Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mistyrose led her family through the city, which wasn't exactly ideal. With so many cats fleeing it was easier and in this case, smarter to run with the crowd. Any smart warrior would go after the small crowd because they were easier to force back. If they had gone their own separate way there was no doubt SunClan would have been able to catch them and there was one thing for certain. Sparrow and her were not going to an even worse prison than the one they had been in. So now it was like the good old days they always wanted, but never had, on the run.
Because she had to run with SunClan towards DayClan this was a round about way of heading to Renegade Regime and... A shiver ran through Mistyrose's spine, WinterClan. Both clans had helped bring SunClan down before so that was their best shot. Even if walking through the city was a round about way of getting there.
Everyone gawked and stared at Mistyrose, even the two-legs. She had tried to stay hidden between Sparrowflight and Caramelcream, but it was hard given how she looked. She had blue grey fur with peachy golden fur on the opposite half. Plus she wore her crystalline collar that displayed every gem she had received in WinterClan. "We're too noticeable, let's try and just get through the alley ways," Mistyrose said as she turned into the dark alleyway, but could already feel the presence of... Someone curious.
Compared to his mate, Sparrowflight was rather plain-looking: his brown tabby fur was matted and greasy, coated with a thin film of dirt, but the pattern wasn't exceptional and he would blend in with many alley cats. Not even his camouflaged pelt could hide his distinctive mate, however, and all of the eyes on him was kind of uncomfortable. Was it better for him to just walk behind her? Then he wouldn't shield her, sure, but they also wouldn't all be staring at him. Let Mistyveil be the curiosity on display.
But he stayed by her side, faithful until the end, in a surprisingly good mood given where they had left. Most likely, he was excited about who they had left behind, and he was determined to ignore their daughter tagging along.
"Sure, into the scary dark and narrow passageway, nothing will go wrong there," he agreed. "Nothing ever bad happens in alleys."
"WOW so that's what a twoleg looks like?" Caramelcream gawked, if her mother's pelt wasn't brushing against her she most certainly would have run off and gotten lost by now, "Where is all their fur? Why do they only use two of their legs? Oh.... that's why they are called twolegs!!" She stood up on her hind legs and walked a few steps before losing her balance and going back on all four, drawing even more attention to the small family patrol, "It's really hard! Have you ever tried it, Mom, Dad?"
When they approached the alleyway, however, she fell silent and stared at it. It sort of made her skin crawl but in a good way.
"Oh good," Mistyrose said, feeling reassured now, before blinking a few times, "Oh no... That was sarcasm. Well, if we run into cats that's a better problem than two-legs catching us. Although I wouldn't mind being a kittypet, but I also can't leave Littlestar though so this time I can't take any easy ways out. Don't worry, I'll make sure that wherever we go that you're taken care of," She promised to Sparrowflight, her paw petting the side of his cheek.
She turned back to see Caramelcream hesitating at the alley way. Was that her weakness? Could they maybe just walk through alley ways and abandon her? Of all the places the last place she wanted to leave Caramelcream was in the city. Two-legs and rogues could beat her, take advantage of her. She would have much rather left her in SunClan.

Was there more or less reason to worry when that pair of curious eyes followed them. Watching as they effectively trapped themselves in the alley. It was easy, the she-cat was an eye-catcher. The progress in going through the apartment building was going well, but Funk was no fool to think it would get done in one day. There was no way to know he was on the brink of a find that will flip the League on its head. As almost in celebration of the end of an era, he may have figured to do one last thing to end it off. The twolegs were used to seeing him, feeling his back for any sort of chip when it had been torn out moons ago. They must have accepted he was an alley cat now, no more pulling out their little light-up bricks when he walked by.
But the Nemesis was as amicable as he was deadly. Even if he had no clue of her true identity, there was clearly something special about the half cream, half blue she-cat. And he simply had to know. It was only him for the time being, and he didn't even bother to block the exit to the alley as he walked up to them. Sunclan, huh? "You guys are early. We don't even have nests built yet, but I always appreciate a proactive cat or three." His tone was light, relaxed. He knew he held all the cards, there was no reason to play nervous. "How are you enjoying the city?" Funk asked, tilting his head.
Caramelcream bristled when she saw Funk. Normally she got along with all forms of strangers just fine but something about that look on his face made her feel like she was submerged in ice water. She took a step protectively in front of Mistyveil with a low growl in the back of her throat, but her claws remained sheather and she didn't say anything.
Mistyrose turned around, her gaze meeting Funk E'tan's. He never looked like a nemesis, he looked too perfect and clean like a kittypet would. He also just lacked the savage nature of one entirely. In fact typically nemesis were either polite and manipulative or insane and pretty, but he didn't really fall into any of those categories. "The city air is foul, not clean like the mountains, so there's little enjoyment here." She stayed silent for a polite moment before ending it with, "Okay, see you at the next gathering."

Funk just held his paw up as Caramelcream stood in front of her parents protectively. His nails weren't manicured anymore, but they were sheathed as he sat down on the asphalt. "I would see you there but it's easier to see you sooner, no?" Funk tilted his head, "I doubt the three of you would have come down here if you really didn't wanna see me." He shrugged, voice as smooth as honey. Maybe the tall buildings around them were starting to loom, or that smell began to burrow its way into their noses. But Funk didn't move. "Besides, we got a whole space set up for the refugees like you. So you may as well stick around, no?"
"We already left Littlecrow and it's for the best that we did," Sparrowflight grumbled, thinking of her daughter. SunClan, as it turned out, was not very safe for them after all. Why would their next home be any different? "Look, I don't want to visit the Cutter either, but kittypet life doesn't sound so bad. Warm and comfortable, with no one around to interrupt you-"
His peaceful musings were interrupted by the Funk's appearance. He sighed heavily as the tom refused to let them leave.
"No, we're going tuh leave now. I reckon you ain't ready to die harassin' us and that's all you'll get if you keep us here, feller," he threatened calmly. He was never a very intimidating cat and he couldn't fight for nothing, so he was mixing things up. Maybe speaking all tough-and-rough-like would scare off this pretty cat.
"Why are you talking like that? Looks like fun!" Caramelcream cocked her head at Sparrowflight, then tried her best to mimic the accent. She did a remarkably good job of it. Good enough to give Lucistic a run for his money, "We got tuh get goin' now, feller. Ain't got no time for fussin.'" Her evergreen eyes were back on Funk, sharp enough to cut diamond, she really just did not like him, "Move along now."

And sure enough, Funk wasn't very intimidated. Being Nemesis really made these weird accents cat had uninteresting. If the scariest things in the world were his staff and fiancés, a few country hicks were nothing. "You're really gonna make me repeat myself, huh?" The Bengal picked at the ends of a few of his whiskers, looking away from the family briefly. He was never an overly forceful Nemesis, but as the clan climate was changing, he needed to as well. Eyes lit up in the shadows, all staring at the three as Funk put his paw down and shrugged. "You will stick around for a while, no?" He purred.
Mistyrose looked around at all the new faces surrounding them, "I reckon we'll be pushing daises or put in dah big house a dis rate," She said before fist bumping her paw with Sparrowflight before turning back to the matter at hand. This wasn't normal, why were they being targeted by the nemesis or maybe everyone was now a days?
"Yeah we'll stick around," She said, with a slight tone of reluctance, it was hard to catch given how monotone her voice was, "You're the leader that can heal right?"
Mistyrose nosed Sparrowflight to move closer to her side as she stood up to follow the nemesis.

(oh, if you wanna bring in other cats to drag them back to camp, feel free)
"Where's the hick accent supposed to be from?" Funk asked the hunter at his side, who only shrugged in response. The Nemesis tilted his head before shrugging as well, giving up on it. He wasn't gonna take no for an answer, but getting a yes was nicer. Still, hunters surrounded them on all sides and slowly pushed the trio forward as Funk stepped back into line with them.
"The leader that can heal, huh? Figured I'd be more known as the leader that will poison. But I'll take what I can get. Not that my reputation has been around as long as yours. Mistyrose. The last witch from Winterclan." It wasn't a surprise he knew. Primal Instinct had eyes and ears everywhere. "I'll have to pick your brain while you're here. We've gone to all the trouble of clearing out a space for the refugees from Sun, and it'd be a shame not to use it. I don't care for unnecessary work."
"Really? I don't care for work at all," Mistyrose replied casually, "This is my mate Sparrowflight," She said gesturing to the tom, "It sounds like you want something out of me, by how much you know me. If I'm safe to assume that I can promise you respect if you treat him like the king he is. I don't like my things being touched," She explained, but didn't introduce her daughter. She was hoping whatever place was set out for them wasn't an actual prison, okay she wasn't against it, Sparrowflight and her did have plenty of intimate heated moments in the frosty dungeons of WinterClan... But still! They deserved some freedom.
Walking beside Funk E'tan it was easy to tell she was pregnant, although not much of a surprise there. She was known for carrying eight kits, yet still keeping up with her work, a class act really. None of it ever deterred her, it was why she was known for being a distant mother to the children she could get away from.
Lucistic walked close behind, his eyes latching onto Mistyrose's daughter curiously. She looked so tall! Was she taller than him? He kind of had to know. He started walking beside her, lifting his head high to try to tell, but she wasn't standing up straight either. If Caramelcream looked to him he immediately would look away falling back into line like he wasn't focusing on her, but still, his curiosity was peaked.
Caramelcream padded at Mistyrose and Sparrowflight's heels. She was doing her best to give Funk the stink eye, but as soon as she realized he and Mistyrose seemed to be getting along, she began to reconsider her initial impression of spotted guy. For better or for worse, she was a follower, and there was no cat she trusted more than her mother. If Mistyrose was going to accept Funk then Caramecream would too. A packaged deal.
So, her evergreen gaze began to wander as she grew bored, eventually settling on the weird shadow cat that was kind of checking her out. She noted that he was acting like a pigeon, what with the way he kept bobbing his head up and down, and instantly began to mimic his movements in a greatly exaggerated fashion. The caramel cream she-cat stretched to as high as she could manage and then so low that her whiskers brushed Sparrowflight's hind legs, all without moving her shoulders. What a curious game! But she had a hidden talent the guaranteed her success. Clearing her throat, she twisted her head back to look Lucistic right in the eye, and said, "COO COO ARE YOU?," following up with a rumbling pigeon-esque purr. She sounded just like the trash bird, a perfect mimic. She gave her challenger a cocky grin, convinced that she had beat him at his own game.

"That's not surprising. I don't know many other workaholics besides myself." Funk at least nodded towards Sparrowflight, which was already better than his treatment of Caramelcream. They were walking towards their camp anyway. Least, it was called that. Not much of a camp, but it was better to have her there than in some prison cell by the time the kits came. He wasn't a monster after all. "Relax. You're a step higher than normal prisoners so you won't have to go through daily beatings. But you may as well stay and chat for a bit." Not that Funk was giving them a choice one way or the other.
Mistyrose grimaced at the idea that they could have had daily beatings, "Thanks," She said as nicely as she could, but added, "I think a chat would be nice. I've heard a lot scraps of information about you. I always like to meet cats who aren't afraid to experiment beyond what is already known."
Lucistic seemed to jump back, surprised by Caramelcream's weird retort, but decided not to play into it. Funk had him and the rest of them around so they would remain vigilant for him.

"Good, good." Again, they had no choice. But having a willing participant was always better than struggling to stick them with a truth serum. And far more interesting. For as much as he liked coercing someone to do something willingly, there was a charm in straight forcing them. "Excellent rather, you'll have to tell me all about your findings."
"Oh great, another prison, hoo-ray," Sparrowflight muttered enthusiastically under his breath. And once again, the leader only had eyes for his mate, not for him. Not that he wanted Funk to oogle him, but it would have been nice to be appreciated or even acknowledged once. Just once, though. He couldn't stand to be in the limelight like Mistyrose was all the time.
As they started walking, he ended up on Caramelcream's other side, opposite of Lucistic. He eyed the tom suspiciously. "Er, this one isn't with us. Is he with you?" He glanced up toward Funk, saw he was distracted, and realized he might be alone with the hunter. Great again. "Hey, shadow man, if you want her you can just take her. Okay?"
"I know, it'll be okay," Mistyrose promised to her mate, reaching her tail over she curled hers around his tail Sparrowflight's, "You're my favorite person and if we're well fed I'll feed you some prey like you're a king," She said, a small smile coming to her lips. In truth, she didn't know what to expect, but she did know that although Sparrowflight and her only showed their love physically that she would defend him if things went wrong.
"So what have you heard about SunClan, Funk E'tan?" Mistyrose asked to him since he seemed to know a bit.
Lucistic looked at Caramelcream carefully as though wondering if he did want her, "Want a job at the Punishment District? You have to beat up people and get beat so it's a lot of fun. I also need someone to take my shifts when I go to DayClan..."
