He'd had a bad day and just needed something to make him feel better. Then again, most days were 'bad' for Valeray. Unwanted expectations and forced roles in society tended to make such things hard. Of course, that didn't change the fact he wanted something nice to improve his mood, which was perhaps why the tyke had snuck out topside. It was cool, the scent of rain on the breeze with evening sunlight filtering through the branches of the trees. He wasn't really sure what he was looking for. Anything to get away from rules and decisions he had no part in, perhaps.
