"Hold on, I'm totally going to beat your score Foxy."
Glowstar had been hanging out with Foxbane and Funk E'tan for the day and at some point as usual during their walk it had left to her finding a small uninteresting object interesting and turning it into the most exciting game of a lifetime. In this case it was bouncing a pinecone and keeping it in the air near the outskirts of the league. Glowstar was kicking at a pinecone, keeping it up in the air with her tail, occasionally her paw, "NOOOOO!" Glowstar cried as her tail whacked the pinecone too far and nose dived for it and managed to kick it up into the air once more with her snout, "HA!" She smirked triumphantly, "as she kept bouncing it onto her snout which was very painful since it kept hitting her between the eyes. However at some point between the pinecone flying off her nose and her gaze wandered past Fox and Funk and to the border. The shape of a familiar face coming into view and before she could focus on them further she winced as the pinecone came back down on her head losing her score, "Ow."
Glowstar rubbed her head, but kept staring at the tom, he looked exactly like her dad... In fact there was no way he wasn't her dad. The tom had brown fur with wild green streaks coursing down his pelt like rain and his eyes perfectly matched Sean's exotic green, but he had already vanished into the treeline. Glowstar turned back to Funk E'tan and Foxbane, "Hey, can we go explore something?" Glowstar asked looking back to them with big wide eyes. They were both the only people in her life she truly listened to and asked permission.

Slow and steady, he tried to win this contest.
It was about as normal of a day with Glowstar and Foxbane as Funk expected. One minute they were walking and talking like usual, the next they were playing some game that Glowstar came up with on a whim. Not that he horribly minded, though the twangs of pain from each hit of the pinecone bothered him. Originally, he thought of bouncing it lightly, to keep it under his control as much as possible. After breaking a pinecone or two, he switched to a method of hitting them harder with his paws. Now he definitely had scrapes and pinecone shards in between his toes, but it was a learning experience. Maybe he'd subject a prisoner to walking on pinecones for an hour.
Though the instant Glowstar suggested doing something else, he let his pinecone fall to the ground, shattering into pieces. "Of course." He gave her permission far too quickly for it to be considered just a casual allowance. Maybe they could find something more interesting, like someone to torture. Or an alien. Or an alien to torture.
Glowstar grinned, any start to an adventure made her smile. Her grin turned sideways along with her head tilting to the right a bit when she saw where the tom had vanished through. There was a thick line of forest from this point on. The trees were close together causing vines, brambles, and roots to jut out tripping cats up. Glowstar dove underneath a root continuing forward, after all she had just seen the tom so he shouldn't be far. She turned back to look at Foxbane and Funk E'tan, "Do you two see anything or anyone?"

Of couse he gave in. Anything to stop these pinecones from digging into his skin anymore than they have. It was a familiar line of thicket, and Funk walked along the tops of roots and even climbing up to pass over branches. One tried to snap underneath him but he jumped to another before he fell the whole two feet to the ground. The Nemesis saw something out of the corner of his eye, and turned to see the glimpse of two bright eyes watching him. "Besides that guy over there watching us, nope." He chirped before anything else.
Foxbane was happy to pause their game for whatever Glowstar wanted to do. The DayClan leader seemed especially intent on whatever it was, and the ex-Priestess let the pinecone she'd been casually bouncing fall to the ground beside her. She followed readily, mischief written across her expression. "What's the plan? Capture, kill, or talk?" The fox-pelted feline questioned, tilting her head as ivy eyes drifted to look where Funk's gaze had turned.
"My dads great, I just want to talk to him. If he doesn't want to talk thought it just means that people are after him and he's trying to not involve us," Glowstar explained. Excitement blazed through her veins as she silently followed after where the tom had gone, or at least started to. She saw Funk E'tan's head swerve in a different direction and make out the eyes staring at them.
Suddenly like she was lit on fire she stopped, dropped and rolled onto the grass before jumping up covered in green grass stains. Suddenly a shape took place, exploding from the treeline as a tall cat came crashing forward, "Green!" The tom said in a sing song voice. He was a little slow and definitely old. He was covered in a mix of scars, nicks, fresh bruises, and scrapes from his long years of exploring the world. Glowstar met the distance, her head moving behind his shoulder in a hug before they both leaned back, "How have you been?" They both asked before laughing anxiously.
"These are some of the best people I've met," Glowstar said to him, "Foxbane and Funk, he's a modern nemesis, Funk E'tan. Things have changed since you've been in the league and he's pretty cool."
"Hey, I'm her dad, Oz Fell'E'Gr Eerie," Her dad said with a laid back smile and wave of his paw. He had brown fur, but had the same grass streaks as Glowstar did. His green eyes were darker and less vibrant from age, but he still stood tall if not with a bit of a limp.
Father? Well, Foxbane didn't exactly have long to wait for an answer as a tom who was quite obviously part of the family showed up. Old, certainly, but Green's glee was contagious, and she couldn't help the dangerous smirk flitting across her face as she trotted at an easy pace after Glowstar. Of all four cats, she was certainly the shorted, long legged but that still didn't compare to Funk and certainly not to Glowstar.
The fox-furred Senator offered a nod of her head and twitch of her tail in greeting. "I would be surprised if you weren't, given the resemblance." She mused, "I'm Foxbane, as was mentioned. Ex-High Priestess of SunCult, otherwise known as SunClan." It was easy to refer to her clan as such, really, because it was true enough. If she was intimidated by meeting Green's father, it didn't show, though she was looking over him, perhaps curious as to this elusive father of the Eeries.

Dad? An adventure was fine, but Funk didn't expect to meet a dad. And how was this guy still kicking? While not the shortest, it dawned on him even more how young he was compared to his mates. How each hair on him still shined with youth, and how the only scar on his body was covered by his now trademark bandana. Though if it rattled him, he didn't show it, falling into step with Foxbane as the pair approached the reunited father and daughter. "I see where she gets it from." The Nemesis mused with a quiet laugh, not able to elaborate further before Foxbane started up. While he followed suit with a nod, it was a quick one as he added a wave with one of his front paws. "And I'm the aforementioned Funk E'tan, current cool Nemesis of Primal Instinct." He appeared as relaxed as ever, keeping his laid back smile on his face.
Glowstar laughed a little looking over the silk choices, "Uhhh..."
"Maybe I'll leave that to Sean," She said passively, pushing it into a larger pile that was meant for Sean to arrange. She didn't know much about the drama at the gathering. She had seen an altercation, but didn't consider it anything above usual tensions. Typically she was confident in what others would look good in. If this wedding was for someone else she would have no problem picking out all of the wedding decorations and preparations, but in her own case she seemed to have less certainty. She wanted to leave most of the choices up to Sean who was better at planning and style.
Currently they were set up a bit away from Primal Instinct's camp for a bit more privacy and fresh air. They still had to decide on a path where they would walk up to the altar. She liked the color of the smooth stones, but maybe that would be too rough for them to walk on. Or if it rained maybe it would be too slippery.
Her ears pricked hearing another cat walking over.
"I heard about the engagement," Oz said, flashing a smile, "Congratulations."
Foxbane hadn't exactly been forthcoming about the gathering conversation, either. She'd mentioned that it was Sean just being his usual self, which, it really was. She held up a swatch to Glow's fur, a bright, pastel yellow, that really, the Priestess wasn't too much of a fan of. Personal preference, really, everything looked gorgeous with Glowstar, she was convinced.
The ex-Priestess turned to smirk at Oz as he arrived, leaning into Glowstar as her expression widened into a smile. "Thank you." She offered, in rare show of non-malicious grace, though the feline could never truly get rid of the sense of danger that came with her very presence.
She blushed as Foxbane held the color near her, smiling at her soon to be mate. "It's so easy for you," Glowstar said, sugary sweet laughter escaped past her lips, "You look great in everything, I don't know how we'll find the perfect color for you, they just all look stun-"
Her tail lifted as her father approached, "Dad! I'm so glad you're here, I would love for you to attend my wedding. You've been a part of all my other moments even if it was afar and you had to have Sean deliver the messages and you couldn't come close to me cause we were in the Regime. But y'know, through all those obstacles you tried your best to be there for me and even if Sean and you don't get along I'd really appreciate it if you were there for me."
"Wherever you want me, I'll be there," Oz promised with a wink.

Anytime the gathering came up, Funk ended up laughing. Too wrapped up in the memory of Bloodyrondo falling flat on his face in the middle of it. Even now, as he rifled through the various flowers they had gathered, he couldn't keep the smile from his face. He'd lift them and closed his bad eye to try and see if it went well before huffing and putting it back in. Tending to mumble how 'out of season' and how certain colors were 'so last year', he rubbed his good eye with the back of his paw. "My aunt was right, you know. Red heads do look great in anything." Funk purred, holding a violet flush to both of them before putting it back. "You two make this so hard." He laughed.
Funk glanced back as Oz walked up. Offering him a dip of the head as he got up and spun around, not pressing as hard as Fox did.
Glowstar touched Funk's cheek playfully, "You're just trying to be cute." She licked the side of his face, "And it's working."
She looked back at her father, "That's a good point though. I'm thinking maybe you can walk me down the aisle and then you can sit at the front of the crowd," She theorized before looking between Foxbane and Funk E'tan to see if that was a good idea.
"I'm here, I'm sorry I'm late," Sean said as he approached the four. On his back he was carrying some well made bags, each crafted out of thick leaves and willow branches. He placed the bags down. Inside there were hundreds of feathers as well as tiny gemstones and silk. While most cats were clumsy with their paws when it came to fixing up dens, weaving feathers into fur, and other activities, Sean had no issue being precise and gentle.
"Sean's going to help create wedding attire, I was thinking a feather cape for you Funk and maybe for us some nice designs in our fur," Glowstar explained.
"Yeah so I'm thinking I'll just work on fitting each of you with the outline of the design and then we'll," Sean was slowly get distracted as he noticed his dad there, but managed to regain focus, "progress to the actual finished design." He was still talking to them, but his gaze was locked onto his dads with an almost vacant stare. "If that sounds good to everyone," Sean managed to add as he looked back to Glowstar, Foxbane and Funk E'tan.

Hell yeah he was trying to be cute, and with that kiss on the cheek, he knew it was working. A purr bubbled in his throat. It was a strange feeling, one so unfamiliar to him he didn't know how to handle it besides the gargled purr that radiated through his whole body.
“That's normally what they do for twoleg weddings.” He chimed in after Glow, vague staticy memories running through his mind. Funk was grateful he'd be given a cape at least, the last thing he really wanted was getting covered in paint on what was supposed to be one of the better days of his life.
Sean approached, and the Nemesis flicked his tail in greeting. The two held an odd relationship, but he at least liked Glow's brother enough to flash a smile. Despite looking through all the stuff he brought and feeling his blood go to ice. Half of what they had still needed to get sorted through too. While the tension between the family was clear, Funk chose to ignore it. “Sure, sounds fine by me.”
Honeystorm (Just pinging you since you haven't replied in a while, but you're still welcome to reply next Berry! ^-^)
"Good to see team Greenbean's still together," Oz smiled when Sean finished.
Sean looked irritated, but was not going to even respond to the fact that he was nicknamed Bean. It was way better than Lilith being nicknamed Green. He always wondered who would be insane enough as to nickname their daughter a color, until he met clan cats.
"Sounds good to me too, I'll go grab some of the accessories I was thinking of," Glowstar said.
Sean patiently watched Glowstar leave before shooting his gaze right back in Oz's direction, "What are you doing here?" He asked in an accusatory tone, but didn't wait for an answer, "It's fine, just make something up. Say you have to go save a distant clan or that some underground knight civilization is holding a funeral and you just got word. Anything works really."
"You used to tell me I wasn't there enough for Green, now that she's getting married and I'm trying to be a support wherever she needs me you want me to leave? What do you want me to do that isn't a lose lose scenario?" Oz said back, but in a far more hush tone to ensure Glowstar wouldn't hear their argument at her wedding planning day.
Sean suddenly looked less sure, "I-I don't know!" He said, looking away from his dad as he tried to think fast, "No, I know I'm right, just leave, I'll deal with it."
Oz didn't move though, "If your sister wants me to leave I'll go, but she's been happy with me here. I don't think it's your judgment," He said, his tone soft and genuine the way Glowstar's always was.
Sean looked more exasperated by Oz's response and for once in desperation looked between Funk E'tan and Foxbane, "Don't you think it's weird timing that he suddenly showed up? That he's so picture perfect?" He regretted the last thing he said, sure the first defense was reasonable, but the second one wasn't saying much when Glowstar always came off as picture perfect too.
"And, pray tell, what could Oz be that's worse than anything I could do, Sean?" Foxbane asked easily, tilting her head at an angle that was just slightly off as she wore a smirk. "I'll be the first to kill him if he makes her cry, but until then, not my problem. If you have issues, please, go back to your dirt kingdom."
Unlike Funk, Foxbane didn't ignore the tension. But she was going to support Glowstar, not Sean, not that any of that would be a surprise to her future brother in law. After all, she had used him in the not-so-distant pass to get some of his kits into SunClan, so to say they had any sort of positive history was rather laughable.

Funk, on the other paw, had a slightly different history with Sean. One that always seemed to be in motion. The Nemesis kept expecting the ex-commander to hate him after trying to drown him; just as he tried to hate him for making Glowstar sad. But it appeared that they kept being drawn together. Like a magnet and metal. The time in the past was proof enough of that. And despite his attempts at anger, it never really stuck. Funk wondered why; it kept him coming back.
"It is fairly convenient, can't deny that." Funk shrugged, probably giving Sean the only crumb of positive feedback he'd get. The real question he'd ask is how Oz was still kicking. But he'd have all the time in the world to ask later. "Besides, I thought appearing picture-perfect was an Eerie specialty. Having Oz here does make me wonder where Glow's mom is..." Funk trailed off, gaze steady with Sean's.
"He doesn't play the same games as you do," Sean said accusingly to Foxbane.
"Sean, c'mon, if I wanted to play my games I would tell them. I've heard enough about Fox and Funk to know it would be a thousand times more fun to be forward about it. But I really did just come to be here for Green."
Sean didn't look convince, but froze at Funk's comment, "Um..." He decided to try and disregard Funk's comment entirely, "No, there's something else you're after, you wouldn't come all this way just for her."
"Okay, fine, I mainly came for the food, but Green's a close second, but don't tell me she wouldn't do the same," Oz said with amusement.
Sean unsheathed and sheathed his claws in thought, "I need to talk to these two alone, you can go find Green," He said watching as Oz walked away, but not before taking interest in a piece of fabric and taking it with him.
"Such a klepto-" He began to mumble before giving it a rest and looking back at Fox and Funk, "I'm going to tell you a secret, but I'm really counting on you two so don't mess this up and tell Glowstar or I'll never trust either of you ever again." He pleaded, but looked hesitant, he had never told anyone this, never even said it outloud, "Oz never visited Glow, I just lied and told her he did and none of those stories she tells about Oz are real. I just made them up and accidentally gave her an unrealistic traumatic fear of ferrets. The point is I just wanted her to believe that someone honorable, strong, and heroic loved her because I wasn't any of those things. Oz is her hero and it'll break her heart if she knew he was a fake or flaked last second. She came all the way to Primal Instinct to be with him and he left her and I lied and I said that I told him off. If Oz leaves on her wedding day she will always think I drove him off again and she will never forgive me or worse, she'll find out the truth and realize no one in this family cared about her so I need you both to not let Oz leave at any cost. Can I actually count on both of you to do this?"

She must have shown up to. Why else would Sean freeze at such an innocent question when even Oz didn't. It was mildly concerning, less the whole thing about her poisoning Glow was also a lie. That at least had some ground as proof. Funk's gaze flicked between them before landing on Sean and listening to his confession. If he could call it that. He wouldn't call Sean's look apologetic, but there was always some mystery to unwrap with Sean. Made him fun.
He let Sean finish, rolling another swath of fabric under his paw. Musing for a moment, he chuckled, "Truly never a dull moment in the Eerie family." One of the pros of all the drama was at least he was never bored. Though he began to wonder what else the former Commander had planted into her mind. "But since when have you cared about Glow's feelings or your relationship with her? You just admitted you haven't cared for her." The bengal's head tilted to the side for a moment, one of his claws hooking into the fabric and tearing it. The harsh ripping sound was followed by him shaking the strands off his paw, not letting his eyes off Sean.
"I don't care, I couldn't care if I tried," Sean said with a dismissive roll of his eyes, "I don't know if you've noticed, but I don't particularly love Glow, but I do care about the rest of the family. It's why we force ourselves to maintain a good relation. But if she hated me it would be splitting the family in half once and for all. When Shule took your life it was me that kept Glow from dropping everything entirely, but if she doesn't like me she would never look back at the Regime. She's a powerful allies and so is her side of the family, that's all there is to it."
"And will you stop acting like a sheltered kittypet, that fabric isn't easy to come by, ruffian," Sean said pointedly, but didn't try to grab it from the nemesis. Foxbane and Funk E'tan were incredibly analytical, they could easily narrow in on anyone's weakness physically or emotionally. Sitting in front of Funk he could tell he was doing just that, but was trying not to lose his careless exterior under his stare. "But I guess there is the fact that I just really love the idea of wedding planning. Ever since I heard of Littlestar and Skipstep's wedding I just started fantasizing about all these modern ideas. Gorgeous silk threads, perlina hanging around the neck on thin strands of gossamer, it's just so fanciful! I'm honestly excited to help make this wedding possible and yes, maybe it's for my own selfish delight, but I do intend to make this the best day ever," He said honestly, because if you mix enough of the truth with the lies it's like spilling sand into water, makes everything murky even for these two.
