11.06.2022 The site has been transformed into an archive. Thank you for all the memories here!
Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
1) Are you interested in the idea? Yeah 2) If you are what setting would you like it to be in? University where the clans are sororities or a City where the clans are different gangs? Gangs
(sorry to bring this back when the voting is already going on oops) If this idea does go through, could we have a trial period on it first? o: I'm sure it would help the people who disagree with the idea feel like their opinions are validated. It would be a nice compromise for the moment for both parties.

The site, like all sites, has a natural trial period where it simply will or will not work. Its deciding how long that period should be. Frankly I dont know if anyone is knowledgeable enough to know how long of a trial period is appropriate do to the steps needing to be taken to get it read then the steps needed to get it known in the rings that it is intended fro outside of the classic community as well. keep in mind this isnt just for classic members. we hope to use this site to reach out to the 1000's of roelplayers on proboard in the human rp world to come and give our human rp a try and at the same time get a taste of classic. with this having hopes that this gentle introduction within their comfort zone will allow them to easily slip onto main classic to try out cats for a change.
Will it work? dunno. Will we try? I hope so. How long will the trial be? dunno. In my midn when it either fails completely or takes off lol
Just as a little announcement, the screenshot vote results will be posted at the end of the vote!
The point of the vote is to have a firm yes or no answer as to whether the website will be made. I completely validate everyone's feelings, but I also have to consider the feelings of those who voted in majority and how they would feel if I suddenly slipped in a trial period if this does get passed. So I'm going to have to decline, I'm sorry, Lavellan. But the majority of the votes will be the determination of this.
I'm just worried about putting so much effort into something that we dont actually know how active it will be. Is it worth this amount of effort? That's why I want to see how many people will stick with it before we spend the resources that could be used elsewhere. We could do like a month of a trial period on the forums here on this site, see how well that goes, and then possibly move it to a different site.

Thats the same question we have to ask about any decision we make. Is it really worth even trying to make a change? we are putting so much effort into please everyone and trying to fix general issues that when we offer them up we have to have already decided that we are willing. faith and I both agreed we were willing to add this to our load. We dont expect anyone else to have any responsibilities except to have fun or simply dont use it. so yes since its my work going into it i think it is worth it. expecially since its possible good outcome is so much greater than its negative one. loose a few members for a few months until its fails or gain 100s if not 1000s in the long run. I am not afraid to try.
If it remains here on the forums it null n voids the point of creating a careful and comfortable community for none cat rpers. the home is to bring them in and integrate them slowly if we can. its true some will likely prefer just human but at least the seeds are sewn and they know about us. thats one down 100s to go. Optimism.
It wouldn't remain on the forums here forever if the trial goes well. And this would help you decide just how much effort to put into the new site as well.

Might as well jump in here, myself. cx
Anyway, I think a month trial period is a bit short. That doesn't feel long enough to get everything properly up and running, let alone judge whether it's a success.
My personal opinion would be having it offsite, simply for the fact that the point of it is to have a sister site and bring in new interest for this site.
What I would propose is a six month to a year trial period offsite. This is to account for what it takes to set up an entire site, flesh out the basics of the groups and how they translate from cat to supernatural human rp and the like. After this period, we can assess how the site is doing. Is it active? If so, is it slowly gaining traction and new members? Is it slowing, with few, if any members from Classic itself? If the site is doing well, then nothing will need to be changed. If it is doing poorly, we move it to the main site, condense it into one or two pages, and keep it here.
It's not ideal to make an entire site, only to move it back here, but I'm not sure we can judge the success of an entirely new site simply based upon one forum section here, where the focus will be on cat rp, and not human rp, so it will be more likely to be neglected/less likely to take off than if it were it's own thing. c:
EDIT: This is just to add a reminder that ily all. <3
