Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Prim and I have decided to combine our offsite and entertainment admin responsibilities to bring you a website where you can rp the cats you know and love on Classic as humans.
REMINDER: If this is an idea people want this is not something anyone has to join or be a part of if they don't want to
The difference between the Human Rping forum and Classic as Humans website would be:
- There will be no contribution requirements (Just need to make that clear)
- Your characters can have supernatural powers
- There would be a theme and organization to rping your human characters
- An experience where you can rp your characters outside of the usual rules of the warrior cat world
- Allows new members to join and get acquainted with Classic's community allowing a new crowd to get interested in Classic (The website would sponsor Classic right on the front page)
The Vision
Classic as Humans would be an alternate universe website with the same clans/ groups, but with the ability to have unlimited creativity. On Classic as Humans you'd be able to rp your characters with powers, adventure in different settings, and cause the mayhem you always wanted to without tampering with the Classic warrior cat universe. Our goal is to elaborate on the Classic University setting and empower you with inspiration and unique experiences to bring back to Classic with.
Here's what I want to know from all of you!
1) Are you interested in the idea?
2) If you are what setting would you like it to be in? University where the clans are sororities or a City where the clans are different gangs?
I think it's a pretty good way to flesh out Classic characters by putting them in settings that wouldn't fly in the Warriors universe. Also, offsite admin needs something to do xD
I'd prefer the university setting if we did do it, human gang rp always seemed kinda...insensitive in a way I can't describe xD
I like this idea. I'd want it to be in a city. But I'd also like for there to be more options than the clans just being gangs, it's admittedly hard to pick out what they'd be XP but gangs seems so vicious. Maybe they're neighborhoods instead? Or even towns? XP Because it seems like there'd have to be an overarching governing body for a city.
just popping my head in to say i love, love, love this idea and i support either setting honestly - like city gangs could be so good because that's.. basically what they are rn, but also uni could make for more cute and fun scenarios where they're all cramming for finals and eating too many twizzlers and there could be like, dorm buildings that have competition with each other and no one really knows why but it's like a centuries-old tradition just to be rivals with the other buildings and aslkdhasjldhs YES i love it ♥
The reason I mentioned gangs as an option is because it can be humans of any age. And given that we have generations of children, we could somewhat keep that under control when we're in a setting with more age leniency. Like characters could have a mom in a Gang universe, unlike in the University universe where the mom and the kid would both be at a university age. We could call gangs Teams to cushion the wording if that helps? xD
i'm also always up for a spot of crime, especially with pi, and i don't highkey love gangsters for nothing so, i support the gangs idea 100% too. and the uni one. I SUPPORT BOTH. they're in gangs but they also go to school to get educations as fronts and/or so they can have better futures than their parents had. solved. now i'm sad ♥

Although I personally don't like this idea, I can see the benefit in it. A lot of people are interesting in human rp, and, through this sister site, we could gather interest in this main site and recruit newer members.
However! I do think the problems outweigh that good point. We had a human roleplay forum at one point, but I guess it got deleted due to lack of activity? If people wanted something like this, we could do a smaller scale there, which could also attract new members to this site instead of that one. Also, you say that it's completely optional, but you also said that these would be organized. So, what would happen if a leader didn't want to join? What would happen to their character on this new site?
Also, there is the worry that this site will grow larger than Classic, leaving Classic with even less members than we currently have. We're already struggling to fill positions with our limited members, and this other site could very possibly make main site less active, with everyone switching to human roleplay.
One other thing, the votes seem to be leaning towards gangs, but there is a huge possibility for rules being broken. Specifically, these this rule: 11. HUMAN ROLEPLAY Humans are only able to be roleplayed on the human roleplay board and in official threads created by the Entertainment Manager. All rules apply to roleplaying humans. In addition, sexual activities and drug use are prohibited in these threads. All other creatures are not allowed unless given permission by a leader for a Clan plot.
Lastly, people already think Classic is full of cliques. This isn't going to help with that. It's just going to create a larger gap between users.
I really like the city for the allowance of more locations, and more space for each clan. Granted it'd certainly be very complicated. I also like the fact it allows for families. NightClan is a group that fosters children and they always go out at night time to see the stars XP And they still have a pool
SpringClan is like a suburban esque groups with day camps, and normal every day activities they keep. OH! They could be a gated community XP
Crazy explanation: It could also be a more warriors structured society. The powers came after humanity was almost all but wiped out, the generations that followed were led by someone who red the warriors books and decided society will hence force be structured as such. With leaders, deputies and bla bla bla
RR, PI, and AL are like the ones who are like 'lol nope we got our own thing happening'
And sun and moon are cults that praise the sun and moon as their gods, while everyone else has a stars based religion.
All because the leader of the generations after the cataclysmic event that opened the door for the supernatural read warriors and decided human society would henceforth be structured in a similar manner.
Most of us are adults. I don't think "gangs" need to be cushioned. There's gangs out there that aren't bad and the clans are basically gangs. I don't see a problem with it

And as someone who rps elsewhere, I find it beneficial to have other venues. It helps flesh out ideas and since we'll be expanding upon our classic characters in unique ways. I think it'll be a lot of fun.
I also don't think we should try to revive an old one since it might be something different, it might be on wikifoundry which we've moved away from, and plus it might just be better to start fresh.

I kind of agree with Evelyn here. I'm just worried that if we make a whole different sister site, we will lose activity on main site if people begin to enjoy rping on sister site more then others. Maybe we should change the name gang entirely? We could still call them clans, or maybe houses (like in fire emblem). Also, don't we already have a human rp forum here? Can't we just rp these scenarios on the human rp forum so that we have the activity on one site? So that way we don't have to worry about the loss of activity on main site and people can still rp what they want.
Also we can still prohibit Sex and Drug use. I've rped with humans and these are rules that are often common. We can still keep things PG to PG 13 if need be.

Yes, it's fairly easy to keep these things out of roleplay, but it's just that the whole "gang" idea will give people the wrong idea. Also, I still think that splitting our userbase will only end up bad for the site when we are in need of activity. I believe it would just be simpler for everyone to use a forum on this site. It could still be under the Offsite Manager's jobs.
If need be we can seek other nomenclature for the clans, 'gangs' could be considered at the moment a more catch all term at the moment.
While it is fair to be worried about that, this ultimately isn't a different warriors site, it's just classic in a different setting, with characters that are allowed to experience different things. I would very much like to explore a burningstar in this world, as I like to explore her in this one.
I've had a character I like a lot that I've brought into various different series and various types of creatures, I feel like as this will be a place more for trying out new experiences and interpretations of characters it can be a lot of fun and allow creative opportunities.
Currently the human rp isn't allowed much expansion or real opportunity to define itself, and if PRim and Faith wish to help flesh out this world and giveus another place to play around, I see it as a venue for fun. Plus if it draws in fellow WArriors fans, we bring in new members as well as have our old expressing their characters in new ways making them feel fresh and exciting.
