Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. Primus-tyke squirmed in his nest, tossing and turning with his paws placed tightly over his ears. Even in the securely protected fortress that was Post Kilo, the high-pitched screeches of cave bats still managed to echo across the tunnels and echo against the cave walls. For the older soldiers of the Regime, it was nothing new, and they managed to sleep through it soundly. For young tykes, on the other paw, it usually took a while before they were able to block out the sounds of the flying nuisances. Growling under his breath, the black long-furred tom finally had enough and stood up, dragging his bedding across the stone floor in the hopes of finding a quieter place to sleep.

It wasn't the bats that had awoken Quartus tyke from his once dead sleep. The tom had fallen asleep just before the bats had started their nightly activities he'd learned rather quickly that if he wanted a decent nights sleep he'd have to do so before the winged creatures began to stir. It also helped that Quartus-0tyke was a rather heavy sleeper. He would have stayed asleep is his brother hadn't squirmed into him during his tossing and turning. The tykes pale green eyes had slowly opened, the lids hooded over with sleep. Quartu-tykes pointed ears twitched with the sound of the bedding that was once close to him being dragged further away. The patched tom muttered under his breath before hissing out an annoyed, "Are you done yet?"
Primus-tyke froze at the sound of his younger brother's sharp whisper from across the darkness, lifting his head to meet the annoyed gaze that came from he had just been sleeping. Feeling his fur burn from guilt from waking his sibling, the tom dropped his bedding and cautiously padded back over to him. "Sorry, Quartus-tyke," he mewed in apology. "I didn't mean to wake you...I just couldn't sleep. Though that's not really a good reason for waking you too. Please don't tell Momma."

The tom could only tiredly snort at his brother' plea for him not to tell their mother about his poor sleeping habits. He gave his pointed ears a dismissive flick before slowly raising his head from where he had it resting between his paws. The younger of the two weighing the options in his head about telling their mother and coming to the conclusion that it would honestly be more trouble than it was worth. "I won't, as long as you hurry up and go back to sleep" he mewed slowly just as a yawn escaped his mouth his green eyes crinkling slightly at the corners.

"Where is she..?" Septimus-tyke yawned widely. Their conversation had stirred him, but he was not disturbed or irritated by it. Septimus was a heavy sleeper, and had slept for most of the night already.
"Huh? Momma?" Primus-tyke glanced over where Septimus-tyke was, before scanning the dark area with squinted eyes before resting on a large figure over by the far wall. It was difficult to tell, but the silhouette seemed to at least resemble Diana. "I...I think she's over there? We're not supposed to wake her when she's sleeping..." As soon as the brother were off their mother's milk, she had insisted that they make their own nests and sleep away from her from then on. To 'prepare them for cadethood' she said.
