Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Fezela dozed in the harsh afternoon light in the Aspen Acre. He felt as if the sun was cooking him alive, but it was only fleeting. The cold season was still in full swing, but that only drove him to take advantage of it.
Pluto was out collecting the few herbs that could be found. Snow hadn't covered the grounds in days and it was the prime time to find what he could before the weather changed again. Out near the Aspen Acre, he spotted two things: Fezela and catnip. It was a small patch just on the other side of the other cat near his head, hardly noticeable to the untrained eye. The odd cat crouched down as though he was hunting and crept around the other cat. About halfway he stepped on a lone leaf that crumbled under his paws. Pluto paid it no mind, completely focused on his prey (the catnip).
While such a small crunch did not mean anything to the healer, it set Fezela on edge. He swiveled his ears towards the noise and heard the unknown feline approaching. The Savannah cat slowly lowered his hind legs to the ground. Once Pluto was within an arm's reach, he lashed out his forelegs and swept the High Sage's front legs.
Landing in a hump, the High Sage was startled that he'd been attacked. Though he saw nothing wrong with what he was doing--the odd little cat he was-- he didn't realize how that may have come off to the lounging Fezela. "Oh, hello there." He blinked with innocent eyes up at the other cat, slowly untangling himself and shaking the dirt and leaves from his pelt.
Fezela's claws were unsheathed and he was ready to cut his throat when the other tom's voice filled his ears. His fur became hot as he scrambled to his paws. He turned his gaze from the High Sage. "Oh, aaahhh, sorry about that. I thought you were something else. "
"Oh, well no harm done I suppose." Pluto just shook it off, completely unfazed that he nearly died at the claws of his own clanmate. He's odd like that. "Don't move!" The other cat had nearly stepped on his precious catnip in his scramble and Pluto didn't want to have to search for more if he didn't have too.
