Vesuvius was livid. She had earned her peace for the day. The combatant went out on the predawn patrol and count two birds and a mouse in the middle of winter. She was lucky, but that did not change the face that she contributed for the day, and deserved some peace and quiet. Instead, some cat decided to tumble into her and now lay on top of the she-cat. All she could do was hiss for him to get off.
