Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Ok so this is a thread where the tykes of the regime are going to learn more about the different ranks they can go into. They will meet their superiors and Commander Mars as well as soldiers from each rank to help them choose their future ranks. Anyone can reply to this and if you have a cat in RR you want to help teach the tykes feel free to hop in and of course all tykes are welcome.
Commander Mars was the first to arrive at Post Kilo. He honestly didn't come here all that often since his own children were full grown, but today was the beginning of a new project and it required his presence in Post Kilo. Hopefully the other superiors would be here soon to help out in this project. Already he could see a few soldiers arriving. Spy Diana was here already and so was Raiser Venus. Then he could see Mercenary Reisi making his way over to join the gathering soldiers as well.
There was on tyke in particular whom caught the sight of the tom at once. Alona-tyke’s eyes grew wide as she stood there watching, but ever silent. Wondering, perhaps, why is it the commander had made his way to the tunnel of the tykes and raisers?

Although mostly deaf and crippled, Fjord decided to come and chime in on the training. His eyes gazed proudly at the soldiers and commander of the Regime. They were growing strong despite the hardship they had faced.. - Raiser Momi walked up behind the others and made her way towards Mars, purring as she brushed his cheek with hers. "This is a wonderful idea!" She gushed, eyes twinkling as she watched the little ones start to show up. It would definitely be a good experience for them. - Gabriel-tyke tottled up behind Alona-tyke, his thick white fur fluffed up from a recent bath and blue eyes as round as moons.
Mercenary Superior Gardenia was quick to enter behind Mars, ducking her head as she moved across the Post to stand beside Mercenary Reisi. Though she did admittedly like tykes despite her lack of experience with them, the blonde-furred she-cat couldn't help but wish the Commander hadn't made this a mandatory meeting for all Superiors. She was positive that her being there would probably make the tykes less likely to become Mercenaries, especially after seeing her horribly scarred face and chest. Her sisters had always joked about how her face would terrify tykes, and now Gardenia was worried that they might've had a point. She wrapped her long, fluffy tail around herself for comfort.
Staying close to his sister Alona, the slightly shyer Atticus-tyke stared up at the older cats with a gentle, sheepish smile. Like the other tykes, the grey-patched white tom wasn't exactly sure what this was all about, though from what he could smell from the Soliders and Commander, it wasn't anything bad. Commander Mars especially seemed...almost excited.
"It's always hard for tykes to choose their path. I hope this helps them to decide their futures." He then licked the top of her head. "You should be resting though." He was constantly worrying over her now that he was aware that she was expecting his tykes. Sure he had raised one litter before, but he had never had the chance to be around while Angel was expecting. Her twolegs had kept her locked inside for the most part until after Basil, Jasmine, and Coriander were born.
Cerise-tyke had followed close behind Elias-tyke. Like her brother, she was eager to see her father. For some reason, their mother didn't let them go around him all that often and when they did get to see him, it was never for very long. Would he notice her here? She had gotten bigger since he'd last seen her so he had to notice her now.

LIMAVADY
His pawsteps barely made sound, and his walk was more like a glide. The Scout Superior arrived on the scene, sitting himself and falling in line with Superior Gardenia.

Momi let out a purr of laughter, "I'll be okay, I promise." The white responded, licking his ear. She could tell he was nervous, and part of her was too, even though she was a raiser. It was her job to look after expecting mothers and tykes, but life is such a fragile thing sometimes... A smile warmed her face as she pushed the negative thoughts away. They would be healthy and strong, she was sure of it. "I'll just sit over here and watch, but let me know if you need my help. Raiser Lani is also with me, so she can help teach." She meowed, pointing with her tail to the tan tabby. Lani's own tykes were now cadets, but Milo's disappearance seemed to dampen her spirit a little. Momi had decided it would probably be good for her to help out with the training that day.
Gabriel-tyke moved closer to his siblings, looking both excited and anxious.

At this moment in time, there was no guider superior. Because of this, it was the brown-black feline who made her way into Post Kilo to make up for the lack. Of course, Viviana probably would have come anyways, despite her general distaste of kittens. After all, it felt like something that the highest medical cat needed to go to. Her whiskers flicked; she still didn't like referring to herself as Chaman. It still felt clunky and like it shouldn't be her title. Still, she walked with the purpose of a cat with a purpose, whether she wanted to or not.
She made her way over to Mars, dipping her head to the Commander. Her gaze then ran across the kittens. One of them would one day take her job, and Blind Protector be assured, when it was the time, they could have it.
Once Mars was sure that most everyone was here, he licked Momi's cheek before turning to address the tykes. "I'm sure you all are curious why we are all here today since we don't normally come to Post Kilo without a reason. Well, today is a special day for tykes. It is a day dedicated to helping you find your path in the Regime. There are soldiers here from every rank and all of our superiors are here as well. You will learn very basic skills from each of our four ranks you can go into and speak to all of your superiors. Use this in turn to help you decide which path you wish to take when you are eventually promoted to cadets. I will also be here to answer any questions you may have." He offered the kittens a kind smile. "If you have any questions, ask one of the soldiers or myself and we will help you as best we can." He then sat back down to let the tykes begin their career day.
Alonah’a brows raised at his words. Yes! This was exactly what I meant!! She couldn’t hide her sudden excitement, her tail fluffing up as she listened with a wide smile.
Raiser Superior Lark had been settled quietly at the edge of the crowd, her calico fur neatly groomed down and her amber eyes focused on the familiar group of tykes in front of her. She was excited for this- she knew all of them by name and they knew her, but she had never had the chance to discuss the responsibilities of a Raiser with them before. As Commander Mars released them, she waited expectantly, the voluminous tip of her tail draped over her feet.
Antediluvian was lurking around the post looking for Jasmine, when he realized there was a party going on. He padded closer to the group, staying a few feet back to listen but not interrupt.
Cerise-tyke looked at her brother. "Lets go and see what father's job is!" She was excited for the chance to get to see what he did in the Regime. The chance to meet Commander Mars was also exciting. He didn't make the trip to Post Kilo all that often, but when he did, it was usually to speak with Raiser Venus or Raiser Momi. First she would go and see her father and then she would go and meet the commander.
Little Rena-tyke was excited to learn more about the different parts of the Regime. Surely this would help her make her decision on what she should do when she was older right? The first thing she did was scamper over to Viviana. She was the one who had found her and her siblings after all. She had always been curious about what she did for the Regime. "Hi Viviana!" Her eyes were filled with excitement now. "What do you do for the Regime?"

Elias-tyke waved his tail happily. "Great idea! Then he'll finally see how much we've grown!"
He puffed out his chest, and with a faked deep voice he tried to make himself seem older. "And he can see how serious we are about being mercenaries." He finished with lifting a paw into the air, like he had trod on some mud and couldn't walk on it.

Viviana's head tilted as the small kitten in which she rescued scampered up to her with such a loaded question. Her large golden-hued eyes blinked, as if she was pondering a response. "I am the Chaman of this group," she meowed after a moment. The words still felt wrong in her mouth; her adjustment period had been much longer than she had anticipated. "I am the head healer of the institution. Just as Commander Mars is the leader of the mercenaries and scouts, I am the leader of the guiders and raisers." Well, technically, Mars was the leader of everyone, but such a nuanced discussion was probably over the pay grade of Viviana to have with a child.

Gabriel-tyke watched his other siblings totter towards Reisi with a bit of longing. He also wanted to see what his dad did every day... but, his eyes shifted to Chaman Vivianna. He could feel the thirst for knowledge in his belly. Herbs and healing interested him more than fighting, but would he make his father sad? The young tyke sat there, frozen, for a minute trying to decide where he should go.

SEPTIMUS-TYKE The black-pelted tom padded fearlessly up to The Scout Superior, despite his intimidating air, and sat down. His yellow/blue eyes blinked up at him, his tail waved in a curious manner. The life of a Scout sounded easy, like you could get lost for hours and enjoy horsing around whenever you wanted.
LIMAVADY He scrunched his nose, leering down at him. Look at them. Cute for now, but they'll become devils in a matter of days. Soon they'd be following around his best hunters, holding them back, stepping on sticks, and ruining the element of surprise. His tone was condescending. "All cats can hunt, but not everyone has the patience or the grace to be truly genuine in the field." He squinted down at Septimus, kin to Spy Diana and Scout Hurricane.
SEPTIMUS-TYKE The kitten's ears flattened, but he did not leave his seat. Limavady's words were sharp. He tried to put on a brave face. Father and Mother both were great hunters - he wanted to be just like them in the future. He had claws for a reason, even though he didn't know what to use them for. He figured following in his parents footsteps would lead him to an answer, so he puffed out his chest and remained silent. He had no words to combat the Superior. Perhaps he was right - perhaps he wouldn't be great anywhere. At least he had to try. He was looking down at the Angora's big paws, but picked his eyes back up to him, as if to say, I understand.
LIMAVADY His narrowed green eyes relaxed when he intuitively felt the energy in the young cat's eyes change. Perhaps this tyke held some potential. His pelt was dark, shadowy enough for dusk. His bone structure would turn him into a lithe adult, which would serve him well in attempting to pull rabbits, mice, or squirrels out of their holes. He continued to speak, this time with less of an edge, "If you ever thought that outside of this cavern was dangerous, Post Echo isn't the branch for you. Scouts are responsible for making sure everyone has enough to eat and there isn't enough prey underground to feed us all. Top!soil is not for every feline, and some would be wiser to stay down below. We face dangers every single day, from foxes to poisonous plants. One mistake could cost you your life. Being a Scout is serious business, and you must be careful. You must pay attention. "
As Commander Mars excused the tykes to approach them freely, Mercenary Superior Gardenia felt her stomach twist in knots. Her golden eyes glanced nervously to the side to see how Mercenary Reisi was faring. His own tykes were here, right? He must be eager to see them. The heavily scarred blonde she-cat suddenly noticed a couple of tykes heading cheerfully over towards them, and she instinctively flinched back while trying to cover the ugly scar in her chest with her tail. Of course, that didn't exactly help when most of your injuries were on your face. It was even worse on the inside, where Gardenia was internally panicking. Oh no oh no oh no WHat should I dO? Mars is watching...he'll demote me for sure if I accidentally make them cry or something! They're...they're just little tykes,wHY am I so bad at this?!
Atticus-tyke couldn't help but grin after the Commander's announcement, feeling the excitement from all of the other tykes around him. Even Alonah-tyke, usually so meek and shy, seemed enthusiastic about the opportunity. His honey-brown gaze scanned the post as he wondered which adult he should go visit first. It took him a moment to recognize which cats were there; everything always looked a bit blurry to the young tom. Then, closer by, he noticed Gabriel-tyke watching Chaman Vivianna hesitantly, and he quickly padded over to his friend. "Hey, want to go talk to her together? I really want to learn some more stuff about herbs."
"Come on!" Cerise-tyke bounded over to where her father was sitting. "Tell us more about being a mercenary!" The little she cat was excited. Maybe she could be a mercenary as well. It would be cool to be just like her father if it was something she could manage.
Reisi grinned at his daughter's request. "Well, a mercenary protects everyone in the Regime. We are the most skilled fighters. Most of the Mercenaries are larger in size as well. It helps when we have to dig out new tunnels or fix the ones we already have. That strength also comes in handy in battle." He honestly didn't think Cerise-tyke would enjoy being a mercenary, but if that was what she wanted, he would not stop her.
Rena listened to Viviana with wide eyes. "So the chaman is really important!" She wasn't sure she wanted to deal with herbs all day, but it was still interesting to learn. "Was it hard to learn all of the herbs? There has to be a lot right?"
"You look a bit nervous." Raiser Venus had approached Gardenia now. Her smile was kind. "Just relax. For these tykes, this is the best thing they could have asked for. All you have to do is introduce yourself and answer their questions to the best of your ability." She sat down beside her. She disliked wasting any more energy than she had to these days so while she was attending this event, she was leaving most of the festivities to the other raisers.
