It was a foolish idea, she knew this, going out at this hour. Yet at the same time, the act carried an irresistible glow, one that she could not refuse. The glow of a cold claw moon glowed overhead, casting a silvery light down upon the open expanse of the Badlands. Silence cloaked the land like a blanket, punctured only by the occasional whisper of the wind. Ryn crept forward, keeping low to the ground, fur brushing against the dry sand. She had long since left the protection of the Verdency, wandering aimlessly into the unknown.
