Mellori-chan sat in camp alone, eye-balling each cat passing by with piercing blue-gray eyes. The twist minded little she-kit had no friends and was very quiet and shy. All she did every day was watch the bustling league, creepily. She wasn't on the great journey to the new territory. This was the only home she knew. She heard paws approaching her and she turned her hard gaze on them as if she was staring into their soul.
Corax-chan was late to leave the nest her mother was still settled comfortably into, head shaking once she was in the open space of the ruins as though she was trying to chase away a fly buzzing around her ears. She could feel her mother's eyes on her back, as she had known they'd been on Mellori's while she had stayed curled up at her side, but she paid it no mind as she half-scampered, half-stumbled over to her sister. She was used to the soul-piercing gaze of her sister - or at least, as used to it as a kitten who'd hardly been seeing for a full moon at this point could be - so she ignored it as she meowed out a low, "Hey, sis. What are you up to?"

A pair of fiery amber eyes watched the duo from a ways away, her bengal fur glowing in the sunlight. Kyra-chan was unfamiliar with the faces of the other two, she was fairly certain she wasn't related to them -- but then again, how could she be so sure?
"Hi" she mewed simply and quietly to her sister. She enjoyed her sister's company. She felt like Corax understood her most. She noticed Kyra from the corner of her eye and turned a cold stare toward the other kitten before returning her blue-gray eyes back to her sister.
Corax let a few moments of silence stretch between her and her sister. After those few moments, though, a look bordering on disappointment spread across her face. She opened her mouth, about to comment on the fact that Mellori hadn't answered her question at all but she was drawn towards the direction her smaller littermate had turned her gaze. She stared curiously at the bengal that she noticed, hesitating briefly before waving her tail in an almost awkward greeting.

What a frosty look, Kyra-chan thought to herself, narrowing her own gaze of flame in response to Mellori-chan. When Corax-chan waved, she hesitated, wondering if the other kitten's rudeness was contagious to her companion. Shortly after deciding she didn't care, the bengal youngling moved forward, padding up with the confidence of a lion. "Hello," she greeted them both, maintaining cordiality.
Corax-chan's attention flashed briefly towards her sister, just as she noticed movement from the bengal that had been watching them. She took long enough to meow a low, "I did ask a question y'know," before her eyes turned back onto Kyra-chan. "Hey," she meowed back. "Was there some sort of reason you were looking at us?" she asked, glancing again towards her sister as she added, "Or were you just weirded out by her stare?" Her mother probably would've worked some way of bragging about her heritage into the question if she were close enough, but Corax-chan didn't want to sound arrogant. Not even with the growly voice in the back of her head that thought she should act that way.
Mellori-Chan rolled her eyes when her sister mentioned her stare. She flicked her tail crossly and looked at the new comer expectantly, waiting for her answer.
