Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Persistent moonlight gave way to gentle dawn, and with it, the awakening of the Princess. Though not officially accorded the title, the Warden's daughter felt herself worthy of it. Despite her pride, Matilde donned her friendliest visage and retreated from the Warden's tower, in hopes of meeting some new playmates. Her ashen coat was a solitary sight as she descended the steps in the light of early dawn.
Laertes wasn't exactly a new playmate, for the most part, save for the fact that he hardly liked playing silly games at all, but he was out in the dawn nonetheless. It wasn't unusual to see him out so early, as usually if he wanted a few quiet moments before his training with Kier, who usually had their time set at dawn, he had to wake before the sun. But something was a little off. The young prince no longer wandered the halls with wonderment, he walked as though the floor was glass, and he was especially cautious after the unfortunate, definitely his fault, incident with Nour. He hated looking at that new crooked tail.
The hall was quiet save for his own paw-steps, and then they were joined distantly by another, and immediately, upon seeing her signature tufty pelt, so unlike his own, Laertes ducked behind the pillar of the stairs railing.

The little steps that echoed the area made Kate twitch her ears. The assassin shifted her gaze about the hall. Curiosity settled in her. She'd been guarding the Warden's tower, as often she did now that she were appointed assassin. It was then she caught sight of Matilde, the little princess herself. Another's steps had alerted her, but she'd not seen who they belonged to. Her sharp green eyes scanned towards the stars, but she eventually turned back to the young one.
"It's rather early for you to be up, Matilde. Where are you off to?"
If Matilde hadn’t SEEN Laertes throw himself behind the pillar, she certainly would’ve heard him clamber away. Her oversized ears picked up most minute sounds, and they swore they heard his familiar groan carrying down the hall. Tilly was taken aback. It was no secret that things were often contentious between the two, and she had to admit that he was often the target of her naked scorn, but really, had she treated him that terribly? The realization was equal parts unsavory and unbelievable. She hastened toward the stairs, eager to confront him.
But Kate intercepted her before she got to her destination. The Princess instinctively replaced her furrowed brow with a sweet grin and dipped her head respectfully. “Good morning, Miss Assassin.” She hadn’t gotten a chance to formally meet Kate yet, but she recalled she’d recently replaced the other assassin that’d gone AWOL. She didn't see why they needed any protectors, with Daddy around, but she didn't mind the extra precaution. “I’m actually off to see my brother. I thought I saw him come this way.” She padded forward, and past Kate, and stopped by the stairs. She glanced about as if searching, then turned towards the assassin. “Have you seen him?”
