It was a strange feeling, to know that he wasn't alone these days. Perhaps it should be reassuring, perhaps it should be nice to know he had a family, an actual one that didn't seem to desire his death at every waking moment, but it was a strained sort of peace, the kind of peace that felt like it was on the edge of something else, except he didn't know what it was.
He was always on edge, and now with a new variable in his calculations, Bermondsey had plenty more on his plate to worry about. They were old enough to get into trouble these days, but he wasn't young enough to herd them back without any difficulties. It was good to know that he had an assassin to err.....babysit really if he really wanted to.
He hadn't hunted for himself in a long while, but it felt strangely refreshing to do so. A year ago, he was living on his own, unaware that any of his family had survived, certain that he'd be condemned to a life of wandering. Here he was now, actually...settled? It was a strange feeling he had yet to get used to.

He crossed along the forest looking for the prey he had been stalking. It was a worthwhile prize if he catch it and so had taken the time to keep himself hidden from sight and away from sound. The orange white tom laid low to the floor as the rare hare lightly hopped around munching on the nearby vegetation. Fitz kept his eye on the prize not really paying attention to anything else. Honestly he wanted to just hide away from The League as well...some of the cats were still plenty mad at him. He wasn't going to leave The League anytime soon but he felt a bit under scrutiny from the past mistakes he had made. He was trying to make amends for them but not everyone was willing to be open to him. Well that was typical for the League but honestly it was still hard to live in considering his life of living on his own. All he needed to do was just adjust to the environment and everything would fall into place. Eventually.

Despite being related to him, Bermondsey didn't know Fitz. He hadn't known Safiya's kits as well as he should've, but Charlotte had been one of the last to leave from that litter. He had recognized her only because of that. Fitz, however, was a different story. He wasn't a cat immediately recognizable despite the similar features he had with his mother. Unbeknownst to the two of them, they were both hunting the same creature, smooth limbs, and a beady gaze followed the slim hare, as he moved silently in the undergrowth, his paws light as a feather the way he had been taught as a kit. Bermondsey might not look like much, but he had always been the kind of cat who knew how to keep well-hidden, and that was a benefit in this situation.
He stood still as the wind changed, but luckily, he was still downwind, except...the rabbit seemed to have smelled something else, and it darted off, as Bermondsey hissed in frustration, his long legs now moved into a dash, speeding after the creature lunging at it and grasping it mid-leap only to trip over another cat hiding in the grass, apparently after the same meal as the warden was.
As they tumbled to the ground, he held on tight to the creature as he rolled in a rather undignified heap, standing up immediately with a fire in his eyes. "Watch where you're going!" he snapped.

He almost had it and was so close. Then suddenly he felt himself being shifted off his paws rolling slightly. Did...did someone just trip over him? What mouse brained feline tripped over him? Rolling to his paws Fritz found himself looking eye to eye to none other than Bermondsey. "Oh it's just you. Well sorry you tripped over me but mind you you ran into me. I was here crouching about to catch that piece of prey that's now gone." He gave a deep sigh before shaking his head. The stress of adjusting made him feel more on edge than usual. "Alright alright let's not lose our heads over this. Did you get hurt by chance Bermondsey? I mean you seem to be okay but figured I'd ask anyway."

He frowned. "Just me?" he echoed, his brow furrowing. Who was this cat anyway, to talk to him so flippantly? He scowled, eyes narrowed. "Who do you think you're talking to?" he growled, "and if I ran into you, it's because you were in the way. Who hides in the bushes like that anyway?"
So the cat even knew who he was, and still, he spoke as if he was the one with authority. "Who are you anyway?" he frowned. This cat looked familiar, but he couldn't place him, at least not in this agitated state.

"Ah that is a great question to ask...Uh I'm Fritz." The tom gave a small cough knowing some of the cats in the group were aware of whom he was. He wasn't sure who all felt what towards him and was hesitant to see other's reactions towards him. It's not like it wasn't deserved, oh no this was the price to pay for leaving and coming back. Still as far as Bermondesy went the tom wasn't sure what the Warden's reaction would be towards him. Maybe it would be nothing or perhaps it would be something.

"Fitz," he repeated the name. Fitz? Wait a minute, wasn't that one of...no, it couldn't be, right? He had assumed the rest of them were dead, or Charlotte would've mentioned it, but there was a look in this fluffy tom's face that looked similar to both Charlotte and Safiya. His lips pursed into a tight line, his brow furrowed. "Fitzrovia?" he tested the waters, "you're one of...Safiya's, or am I completely out of my mind?"

"I mean...yes. Yes I am. I thought perhaps you may have heard but then again I am so new and somewhat of a nobody. Which again makes sense considering this is PI and all..." Fritz looked away for a moment before looking back to Bermondesy. "I can imagine this is only slightly surprising to say the least, eh?" The tom laughed nervously.

He sighed. The amount of cats showing up out of nothing like daisies popping up from the snow was giving the tom a headache. "Does your sister know?" he frowned, giving him a look over, "are there any others left coming to join us in this big family reunion?" He had assumed most of his family was dead by now, but it seemed like there were more cats alive than he thought.
"Walk with me," he spoke, as he continued onwards, dragging the rabbit along with him. They might as well find somewhere more...sheltered away if they were going to speak, after all. "Where did you go after....?"
