Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Well, that's depressing," the tom meowed to the cat beside her as the warriors put the last bits of dirt over the grave. Frenzy and he had never been particularly close, but it was always a little odd to burry the first body in a new area. "Did you know her?"
"Yes, I considered her a friend..." Spiritlake mewed solemnly, her glacial blue eyes distant but also somewhat haunted, "To be honest, when she told me she was dying, for some reason I didn't believe her."
Pastelchaos frowned slightly; he knew all too intimately the feeling of losing a friend. After all, the loss of Peachblush was still an open wound, one that was causing more problems for the tom than he would have anticipated at the other's first disappearance. "It's hard to accept the end, especially when we don't want it to come," he mused, touching her shoulder with his tail in a poor attempt to be comforting.
Spiritlake's eyes teared up at Pastelchaos's touch, but she didn't try to move away from him or hide them, "She had such a fiery personality; I think she would have preferred to go out in flames than on a sick bed. It's just cruel that her body betrayed her when she was so young, it really makes you think about how fragile life is, as emo as that sounds."
"I heard that about her, yeah; Peachyboy seemed to think she had a way of attracting trouble. They got into a mess or two together," he meowed, thinking fondly for a moment of the only cat Pastelchaos had ever loved. "If she would rather go out in flames, maybe we could do something... fiery in her honor?"
"What, like a pyre? Does Senescence owe you a favor or something?" Spiritlake had to admit that the idea certainly had merit, but she hadn't a clue how Pastelchaos hoped to achieve it, "It's Frenzy's style but there's just no way."
"Well, I hadn't necessarily meant actually fire- y," he took a pause between the syllables, "but if this Senescence person you speak of knows how to start one, I'm definitely not opposed," Pastelchaos finished with a grin. "but if you wanted to stay closer to home and less... overtly dangerous, once I heard that she and Peach-y found themselves in a murder mansion not too far from here, so that could be a little more tame to pay that a visit than send up a pyre."
"A murder mansion..?" Things were starting to get a touch too elaborate for Spiritlake's tastes. After all, she was very much still grieving the death of her only friend besides her dad... and she didn't even know her that well. Was she lame? What would a lame cat do in this situation...? Sighing, Spiritlake got to her paws and let out an unsettling chatter-growl, "Whatever, let's do it."
Pastelchaos let out a purr of excitement; normally, it took a little longer than this to convince a cat to join him on whatever horrific adventure he was bound and determined to go on, but he supposed that mourning gave an opportunity he didn't often have. "Alright, excellent," he meowed, before offering one last bow of his head in Frenzy's honor. "I'm not exactly sure where it is in the grand scheme of things, but I'm sure it can't be that hard to find," he then meowed, before scampering off into the distance, not waiting to see if she was following.
"Wait, you don't know where it is?!" Spiritlake was a little bit put off by the idea but decided to trust Pastelchaos strictly because he seemed to know what he was talking about. Since then he had revealed that may not be the case, but her paws were already following after him which mean she was more or less locked in, "Ugh, last time I went on a dumb adventure like this I was with Frenzy, and the two of us almost died because of a couple of pissy League cats."
