“It’s time”
Standing before Jetfire and her family was SunClan’s high priestess. Her pelt elaborately painted down to the smallest detail. It had already been decided moons ago, when Jetfire and Firetooth had traveled onto SunClan lands in search of answers but it didn’t make this any easier. Jetfire swallowed hard looking down at her youngest children who had just began their apprenticeship here in SwiftClan. How was she supposed to tell them that their grandmother had come her for them? To take them away from the only home they had ever known.
Taking in a deep breath, Jetfire began “You all know your grandmother Littlestar? She has visited us a few times. You were to young before, but now that you are apprentices she wants to take you all on a little adventure” she paused letting her words sink eyes, eyes slowly lifting up to meet Firetooth’s “You’ll be staying in SunClan for a little while, but mommy and daddy will visit you on the borders often as we can” complacentdevilJadieCleaverstardance
Jetpaw was glaring at both Littlestar and Jetfire. It was easy to tell why he was angry: No cat liked to be told they were being forced to leave the only home and only family they had ever known to join a notorious cult.
"I don't know any cats in SunClan and I don't want to know any cats in SunClan. Didn't you leave them because they were awful to you, Mom? What makes you think we will be happy there when you weren't? Why do we even have to go anyway? I'm happy here with you and Dad..."

Tranquilpaw's eyes just looked at the High Priestess in horror. SwiftClan had plenty of stories about the unpredictable and dangerous cult... and now her parents were just turning them over? She shook her head at looked up to her parents with tears in her eyes. "Why are you sending us away? Do you not love us?" She hugged her mom's leg. "I don't wanna be one of them!"
Firetooth stood at his mate's side, stroking tiny circles on the small of her back with his tail. He didn't like the idea of giving up their family any more than the apprentice did, but he trusted Jetfire to make decisions for their family. She would not have given up their kits if it wasn't important they went to SunClan. He met her eyes with a comforting smile, then blinked, catching up to his daughters' protests.
"Of course we love you, Tranquilpaw," he replied firmly. "SunClan cats are a bunch of no-good vixenhearts, but they know how to fight. You'll be safer there, and we'll visit you every moon. You'll be back before you know it." He stepped forward and pressed a lick to the top of Jetpaw's head. The medicine cat looked up at the High Priestess and his eyes narrowed in a challenge. He would let her take his family for now, but he would take them back as soon as it was safe.
Littlepaw was silent from shock, tears welling in the corners of her eyes. Did they really have to go?

Jetfire gently nuzzled her kits, leaning up against her mate for support. This was just as hard for her as is it was for them, perhaps even harder. She trusted her mother, but after everything she had been through she knew that even Littlestar couldn't keep all the bad away "We are sending you to SunClan because we love you" she answered, though he words caught in her throat "SunClan isn't the same as it was back when they hurt me, and your grandmother will watch over all of you and keep you safe. I am sending you to SunClan to learn. There are things that me and your father can't teach you, that you can learn there to help keep you safe. You aren't going away forever, only for a little while. When your lessons are over you will get to come back home, and then you will be the ones teaching us" she licked the top of each of their heads
"I promise we will be by often to visit you, and if anything at all happens we will find a way to bring you home"
"I don't know why we can't be trained in SwiftClan," Jetpaw replied after a pregnant pause, tail-tip twitching back and forth in clear anger, "There are plenty of former SunClan cats here if you wanted us trained the SunClan way, plus don't they have Rays or something that could come here instead of us going there? Things just aren't adding up to me. Mom, Dad, I'll go if you really want me to because I know you want the best for me, but I'm not stupid. I can tell that you're keeping something from us. I promise you it won't be a secret for long so you may as well be honest now. We aren't kits anymore."
Well, the we aren't kits anymore comment wasn't exactly accurate. Tranquilpaw was whining and wrapped around their mother's leg and Littlepaw was literally crying. But Jetpaw, he was very mature for his age and had a strong voice, although he'd never raised it against his parents and if one looked closely they would notice his paws were trembling.

Mountainpaw stayed uncharacteristically quiet while his siblings were debating with his parents. He was short of fuming inside, the idea of having to leave his family to learn some training was ridiculous. And then he was supposed to come back here and teach everybody? Even worse. If they wanted to learn so bad why don't they just go to Sunclan themselves. He scoffed, a loud spluttering sound full of disdain, rolling his eyes at the idea. His heart ached for Littlepaw and Tranquilpaw, and he couldn't agree more with Jetpaw at this point. "We dont need Sunclan training to get through whatever's going on," he echoed, looking towards his brother before meeting the eyes of his parents once more.
"Are you going to say anything?" Jetpaw said pointedly, his amber brown eyes blazing with a fire familiar to a certain cat who shale not be named. It seemed like he'd been waiting exactly one month for an answer from his parents and their prolonged silence was making him more and more frustrated.
Tranquilpaw shook her head slowly, but slowly released her mother's leg. "I-I don't understand. I don't want to live with foxhearts and murderers. I don't wanna become one." She quivered. "If you leave me here... then I'll just run away!" She sniffled. "Anywhere's better than that place."

Mountainpaw's gaze flitted between his siblings, wondering if either of his parents would have anything to say for themselves. Watching Tranquilpaw wail and relent, deciding simply to run away rather than go to Sunclan... it wasn't such a bad idea to him. He could find refuge anywhere- anywhere but Sunclan that was. Not that he wanted to leave Swiftclan and his family, but if they were gonna kick him to the curb in Sunclans territory, he might as well.
Jetpaw's fur bristled and he lashed his tail angrily, eyes blazing now, growing more and more enraged by his parents' lack of answer. The red-furred tom wasn't one to avoid a challenge but at this point if he didn't walk away right now he'd certainly do something he'd regret.
"Whatever," He growled, his voice venomous and feral, "If you aren't going to give us any answers then I guess I'll have ask that fox-hearted, flea-brained High Priestess when I get there."
And then he stormed off, tail still lashing, his destination unknown but mostly certainly a lonely place.

Following after his brother was all that the golden furred tom could do. He didnt know what they were to do, here or not. But they were all going to stay together, regardless of what came. And he was going to make sure of it. "Come on Tranquilpaw," he urged, quickly matching Jetpaws pace.
