Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
At a glance you may have missed her. The dark-furred tabby she-cat was very high up, of course, having somehow managed to tame a Mastiff dog and made him her steed. It whimpered quietly as she dug her claws into the folds of its neck, kneading him and purring to herself all the while. She loved the feeling of claws against flesh. Eventually, though, she did have to leap down, seeing as she couldn't make eye contact with her sister from so high up.
"Sit, boy." And the dog obeyed. She turned her attention back to Agameade.
"I went to the old camp and there wasn't much left. Please, share with me what has happened while I have been gone."
Agamede wore a serene smile at the resurfacing of her littermate. "Dearest Circe, so much you've missed." The she-cat purred, her ghostlike figure whispering up against her sibling's side with the barest of touches. She was an unremarkable feline, at least, not so interesting for most to know who she was beyond recognizing her scent as League. There were few who could easily pick out Agamede's frame in a crowd, rather than simply passing the feline over. "Come, we'll chat as we walk."
"I have missed you too," Circe gave her sister an identical smile, which was of course just a bit unnerving, that was their brand. They may not have Eerie blood but they certainly fit the name. She followed alongside her sister, allowing the other she-cat to take the lead but staying close enough that they could see each others' faces.
"I don't have much to report for my travels. Everything I learned I already knew, although I will admit that I met some curious characters I won't soon forget... Nevertheless... I'd best stop chatting, you have more to say than I. Is Funk still Nemesis?"
In the distance, the dog whimpered, but did not follow or move as its master disappeared from sight.
"He is not. And mother is no longer Proxy, she's disappeared off into WinterClan, though I'm sure she's fine." Agamede's voice was smooth and almost dreamlike. "Regulus E'tan is the new Nemesis... I find him curious. Whether that is good or bad remains to be seen."
"Interesting," Circe didn't seem to care much at all about Funk's disappearance or the new Nemsis. Regulus was a tom which to her meant nothing much would change. Toms weren't known for creativity or thoughtfulness, just the fastest way to satiate their own desires. Circe found it both cute and pathetic in the same realm as a newborn bunny, "I assume this means you are the new Internal Affairs Proxy? Mother always put the burden of the position on you anyway."
"No." Agamede hummed, shrugging. "They didn't ask, I didn't offer. But I'm vying for another position here anyhow. So I'll be exactly where I ought to be soon enough. Perfect place for a ghost of a cat like me." She didn't specify what she was going for, but Circe was smart, she could either guess or would find out soon enough anyhow.
"The League would be under water if it wasn't for you, yet I'd wager most of the group doesn't even know your name," Circe replied as she leapt over a rather large pothole, "You have all of the responsibility yet wield none of the power. I used to really wonder why you are okay with that, but one day I realized every cat has their own motivations. The last thing they have to do is justify them for anybody else."
"Indeed. Everything is going exactly how I'd like, and that's what's important." Agamede agreed with a grin. "Do you really have nothing interesting of your own to add? Considering you and your curious creatures, I'm surprised you wouldn't have more to say."
