Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Blind in one eye, and suddenly you were made a Guider. Of course, he was quite obviously incapable of being a Scout. He wasn't especially quiet in step, not to mention his lack of depth perception that made him pretty much misjudge things' distance quite often. But he didn't even get a chance. But then again, who wanted to be all dirty from hunting all day? No one could convince Brine he wasn't a prince, and he was still a bit too young and sheltered to understand that this was a failure rank, and not giving him the lighter duties befitting royalty.
So he pranced around the tunnels he didn't know how to navigate as if he owned them, despite being hopelessly lost.
