Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Peachblush cursed under his breath as the sparrow he'd been stalking flew away, startled by his appoach. "This stupid territory," he muttered, watching his target as it flew out of sight. "All this open terrain is screwing up my hunting."

Dreamshadw happened to not be too far from Peachblush and overheard his comment. She walks a little closer to him. "Hey there that bird giving you a hard time is it?" she asked with a small chuckle hoping her small cheesey joke would lighten the mood a little.
Peachblush gave Dreamshade small dip of the head as she approached. "It's not just the bird giving me a hard time," he sighed, and wrapped his tail around his paws. "Do you ever feel like life itself has decided to gang up on you?"

Dreamshade sits near Peachblush. "Well, maybe a time or two. Life is defiantly not easy my friend. Do you want to talk about what is troubling you? I can't promise any big miracles or anything" she chuckled "but I will certainly be an ear and do what I can to help." She continues with a small smile.
Peachblush hung his head for a second, then nodded. The last thing he wanted to do was make yet another cat act as his unofficial therapist, but if Dreamshade was ready and willing to listen....wasn't it objectively a good thing to open up to someone like that?
"I may or may not have abandoned a large number of my children," he started, looking unsurely at the ground. "Not on purpose, at the time."

Dreamshade's expression did not change as she heard his words she just nodded. "I see, how did such a thing happen?" She asked with her voice still in the same calm even tone as it was when the conversation between the two of them had began. Dreamshade had grown to understand that her large size sometimes became intimidating to some cats, so she decides to lay down after stretching her long limbs settling in beside the conflicted tom giving him her full attention.
Peachblush had to admit, he found Dreamshade a little less intimidating when she laid down like that. "I guess I don't know how it happened," he said, words tinged by bitterness. He let his gaze focus on the ground between the two of them, proper eye contact still too much of a proper burden. "I promised myself I would be better the second time around, and yet...The results were largely the same. I let my family down. Have you ever done something like that?"

Dreamshade sat thoughtfully for a moment searching for words. "Well honestly i haven't had much in the way of a family. This clan is as close as it gets to a family for me so far. Unless well I guess..."Her words trail off and pain flashes in her eyes. Opening up about personal things was not something she normally did least of all family things.
Peachblush chided himself for his lack of sensitivity. Here he was going on about his family, and Dreamshade appeared to have issues of her own--just the opposite issues that he had. He noted the way her words trailed off, and prepared to chide himself even further. He was, at heart, still a nosy busybody, and apparently no amount of depression was going to change that. "Unless...?"
Dreamshade watched him thinking for a moment unsure if she really wanted to say anything or not. She shifts slightly letting out a small sigh. "Well, you see thing is that when i was younger everything was fine and what everyone would consider normal I suppose. Until I was what his clan considers a young apprentice age well maybe a little older. My mother she died while trying to birth my siblings and none of them made it. After that of course nothing was ever the same." She says as pain started to fill her eyes, and she paused for a moment to try and keep her composure.
After taking a deep ragged deep breath Dreamshade continues. "My father somehow got it in his head that what had happened to my mother and siblings was all my fault. For a few days after it happened he was constantly yelling at me when he was awake and I could do nothing right. Then one day after i had actually fallen asleep and for once I woke up rested but then to my horror he was just gone.I was frightened and had no Idea what to do.I stayed there and waited thinking he would come back he always came back but this time he didn't. I stayed there huddled in the corner of the nest for days until I just couldn't take the pain from my starving. I had to teach myself to hunt and all of these things that the others here have mentors and family to help them learn to do. I was on my own for a very long time until I happened to stumble upon this clan. So you see I had a family once but not like most others. No one to run to when I was hurt, or sad, or sick no one to worry about letting down no one just no one at all." She said as tears started to stream down her face without her even noticing.
