Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Cleaver Plot: Frevidsummer and Harlow go out in a two man hunting trip. While out, Frevidsummer compliments her brother’s declining mental health which has worsened since he was imprisoned. Harlow inquires as to what’s on her mind and she seeks his advice in how to aide her brother and get him the treatment he needs that Wintrystar denies to prisoners. Prisoners only receive the bare minimum health treatment and all mental health is ignored for them. Harlow then offers to speak to Wintrystar but only after he’s seen Frigidpaw himself with the excuse that Wintrystar will ask why Frigidpaw deserves the special treatment as a prisoner. This leads to Frevidsummer being incredibly thankful and appreciative of Harlow and Harlow thinking of it as a way to parent/help his children that he hardly interacts with. Upon Harlow’s visit, Frigidpaw is in a depressive mood and keeps repeating that “he didn’t mean to do it” which infuriates Harlow as he had murdered his lover, Frigidpaw’s mother, and others and most on purpose. The beans are spilled and the family connection revealed to Figidpaw. Which wouldn’t be a problem except that he’s still visited by his sister Frevidsummer who then learns the truth from her brother. She becomes furious with Harlow.
Frevidsummer had agreed that two man hunting trips would be fine after the battle between WintrrClan and the trespassers RR and DayClan. The fewer cats out and away from the safety of camp the better. And besides, two cats would bring in just as much prey in short bursts and multiple outings as one large hunting patrol would. She was a little surprised though that her and Harlow had been paired together for this trip. The orange she-cat has hardly interacted with him before and never on a patrol. But she wouldn’t complain, he’d always seemed like a wise cat. Now if only she could get her mind on subject she’d be golden.
As far as fathers went, Harlow wasn't that bad. Sure, his family didn't know they were related, but he still went on quite a few patrols with them and treated them with respect. What more could his kits possibly want?
As they headed out on the patrol, he considered remaining quiet, but he was in a mood to talk. "Were you injured in the battle?"
Frevidsummer was startled from her own thoughts by the tom next to her speaking up. "Oh, no not really. A few scratches and bruises but nothing serious. I take it you're well?" She looked the tom over, searching his orange pelt for any obvious signs of injury. Everyone who was able was going out, even if it meant walking on sprained limbs and healing wounds. Frevidsummer was lucky to have stayed uninjured at least majorly injured in the battle. She knew of other cats that weren't so lucky as herself. Her daughters were well as well, and Frigidpaw had stayed out of the fight completely due to being a prisoner. IN all honesty, she was frustrated the other two clans had attacked at all! It was appalling, and truly not well thought out. WinterClan was secluded up on the mountain, and only the cats here were able to navigate its snowy and icy terrain.
"As well as I can be," he agreed. His thick fur hid most of his injuries, but there were many: Harlow had taken quite the beating, and he was just lucky that his injuries had been minor. He had scrapes and bruises and even walking had hurt him the first few days, but he was recovering swiftly now and his aches were negligible. "I faced some strong opponents, but they all ran in the end." Partially due to his fighting and mostly because the battle had ended.
