Background: The Gambler's Den is a rogue group that has been in existence for several years, although often lurking just below the surface. They are exactly what their name suggests: gamblers who thrive in the chaos of chance. Often times having no sense of self-preserverence, these cats always fall on the chaotic side of things, although they vary from good to evil in predilection.

The Gambler's Den used to be under the guise of the Shaw family, an elite group of rogues that were particularly dangerous. Timorous Shaw, the reigning patriarch, was a cold hand, one who ran the gang with an iron fist. Timorous had two children that ran the group with him: Gossamer Alessandra and Lilith. Together, the trio taught the forest the art of gambling, placing bets on outcomes and tricking the silly clan cats into doing exactly their bidding. His daughters were exceptional at the game, particularly Gossamer Alessandra. She was so successful that she was able to gamble her way into the leadership of the Regime. When she departed for the Regime, Lilith and Timorous stayed behind to nurture the Gambler's Den gang into the underground gambling ring that it would become. All ages were invited, as long as you like the game of chance.

The gang succeeded alongside of Gossamer's takeover for a while, at least until the death of Timorous. Lilith, feeling unable to run the Den without help, arranged for the extraction of Gossamer from the Regime. In a bloody fight, Gossamer was kidnapped and returned to the Den. From there, Lilith and Gossamer ran the group for a while, just long enough for Gossamer to teach Lilith every move in the book. Although Lilith preferred that her sister stayed with them, Gossamer convinced her that Lilith could run the group on her own after about a year, and now the group is starting to cope with the change. 


Core Traits of the Gambler's Den: Cats of the Gambler's Den are just exactly what the name suggests; they are gamblers who thrive on the game of chance. Often tricksters in their own right, cats of the Den take pride in able to entrap and confuse those around them. Always chaotic, these cats live outside normative existences. Although they like to solve problems with elaborate games, members of the Den are not adverse to employing violence to meet their goals. 

Members of the Gang: Here are some blanket adoptables that sort of capture what I'm thinking for the group. However, the Gambler's Den is always willing to increase the members in the gambling ring, so any feline is welcomed to join. Each of the cats also has a gambling specialty, which demarks what games they prefer to play. Some are not necessarily like gambling games but like the cats cant play blackjack so shrug LOL. Cats with the same last name are related.


LIITH SHAW | IAN | The Ringleader | A light grey/brown tabby she-cat with blue eyes. Although she was not the favored daughter, Lilith learned quickly that her best asset was her mind. A brilliant cat, although rather cold and calculating, Lilith enjoys a good game of strategy. Particularly bonded with Demetrius, although her feeings toward him are mostly platonic. | Gambling Specialty : Riddles

DEMETRIUS FRAISER | SHADOW | The Enforcer | A huge, dark brown tabby Maine Coon that was born into the group at the same time as the Shaw sisters. He is known as the brawn of the group, and his deep love for Lilith means that he does exactly what she asks of him, even when he doesn't agree that it is the right choice. Demetrius isn't the most friendly cat, but he is good at what he does | Gambling Speciality: Physical challenge

SYLVESTER SIMONS | OPEN | The Childish | A simplistic black and white tom who joined the group mostly for his sister and the chance to socialize with other cats, Sylvester Simons has not acted any older than a seven month old cat since he was that age. Boyish in his mannerisms and rather daft, he seeks to find the easy way out of most things. Is particularly adept at convincing young cats to give the group a try. | Gambling Specialty : Find the mossball under the cups

ELMYRA SIMONS | OPEN | The Recruiter | A silver-tongued black and white she-cat with dark green eyes. Elmyra is a charasmatic cat, one who can convince just about anyone of just about anything. As such, she is critical in the group's expansion. She regularly goes out on recruitment trips, ready to convince the next generation to play the games. | Gambling Specialty : Truth or Dare
