Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was weird how fast the weather could change. Tinykit was still quite young, but the snow that she had grown used to had rather quickly melted in the mountainous Fallclan camp, and after a few days of heat, it now seemed like every other day was rain. The change had given the small she-cat quite the scare, and a slight cold. Luckily, it was one of the warm days without rain, and hopefully it would stay that way.
Sniffling, Tinykit laid outside, her brown eyes watching as the warriors left camp. Most other kits would probably be envious of that freedom, but if just a change in weather could do this to her, she was a little afraid of what the things outside of camp would do. Plus, some of the nursery aids seemed to enjoy telling ghost stories. "How many ghosts does Fallclan even have?" she asked, her small body giving a ever so slight tremble. Whether it was a result of the cold she suffered from, or from fear of the ghosts, was unknown.
“Well, if Lacegothica’s to be believed, only a few, surprisingly.” Sleepykit looked at his sister in boredom. “‘Course, people only say she can see ghosts. I say if you haven’t seen it yourself, you can’t confirm or deny. What is it that those weirdos say? ‘Guilty until proven innocent’?” The tom shrugged. “Works.”
"According to Ghostlyflicker there are a bunch of them!" Dreamkit piped up as she walked over to her two siblings. "He seems smart! Did you know that his son Cavepaw used to be Medicine Cat Apprentice before he disappeared! Maybe a ghost ate him!" She exclaimed her tail fluffing out behind her. One would think it was out of fear about the ghost, but the blazing determination in her eyes said a different story.
Tinykit was almost comforted for a moment at her brother's words, but her eyes widened as Dreamkit spoke. "Gh-ghosts can do that?" she asked, the shock in her voice muted by the nasally tone of her cold. "I heard that for the blind dates, a couple ran into a ghost at the abandoned windmill. They almost could have been eaten!" Now, Tinykit glanced around camp, no longer watching the warriors, but on the lookout for any ghosts.
