Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Softpelt batted at the water, looking down at the twinkling stars reflected in the pools water.
Since StarClan had appeared during that gathering and declared they would abandon any clan that was caught helping or interacting with the clans or groups that didn't follow their guidance. Softpelt had felt fear prickling her pelt.
"I hope I made the right choice." Softpelt whispered.
She just knew that leadership wasn't the path she'd wanted for herself. She... She'd been open to trying new jobs, new tasks, but... leadership wasn't a new role to tryout and see if she could pull off.
The clan would rely on her and... Softpelt didn't feel confident enough in her ability to do that.
'Besides despite Jetstar's origins being from SunClan, she's performed admirably as SpringClan's leader.' Softpelt mused.
But still she couldn't help but fear that StarClan was displeased with her not following the path they'd told her to follow.
Lunarpoem had always enjoyed the night. Her mother had said it was a trait passed down their line since her great-grandfather Eclipse had been alive. It was a pleasing fact to know, especially since her family was so small now after it'd been so large for a short time. Sunrisemosaic had told many stories of gods, legends, and their family. Of her grandfather Midnightcomet who used to sit out each night watching the sky for a comet to streak by. Of her fathers, Puzzlemask and Crackedclue, or her great-grandfather and the wisdom he possessed. The most important to her though, was always the ones about the stars. They shown with the past, the present and the future and would only reveal themselves to those who knew how to read them. It was a skill Lunarpoem wasn't perfect at, but she longed to become better at. It wasn't StarClan she was looking towards, but the stars of her family, or their family, of all those who have passed and all those who were yet to be born in the wave of a shooting star.
Maybe it was the mystery of the stars, of the planets out there in the night sky, that continued to draw her out each night. Or maybe it was just her love for the quiet of the night or the calming pretense of the glow of the moon. Nonetheless, the she-cat came out each night, taking a walk for hours on end and only then returning home to her nest. Tonight, he paws carried her as her eyes watched the sky as usually. They stopped only when they brushed water, causing ripples in the surface.
