Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Spot The old thread was old so I started a new one! This is present day so they could have been low-key dating this whole time :3
Sinfulatrocity had once again made it down the mountain and onto DayClan territory to visit her flame, Foxtrotter. They'd been seeing each other every so often since that one time she dabbled in alchemy, but these days the dark-furred she-cat was nowhere near as ambitious as she had been during her tumultuous youth. She listened well, took orders without complaint, accepted the beatings for what they were and, when no one would miss her, she'd sneak away to her little paradise and enjoy the evening with Foxtrotter.
"Hey, I know you're hiding around here somewhere, Love. Don't try and sneak up on me again unless you want another scratch to match the one from last time!" An inside joke, Sinfulatrocity never used her claws except on accident, but she hoped it would get the desired affect.
Foxtrotter was crouched on a low branch, watching as his mate approached. Leaf-bare was coming to an end and new buds and green grass were beginning to sprout. Warmer weather drifted in on the breeze and the days were getting longer. The new leaves on the tree hid him well but the branch wasn't holding his weight well. At the call of his mate, he figured he wouldn't try to scare her this time and took a step too far on the branch and...SNAP! the branch broke underneath his paws and he plummeted to the ground in a flurry of leaves and sticks, landing just beside her. He let out an "oof" as he hit the ground and immediately sat back up like a daisy. Leaves and dust clung to his fur. "Uhhh...surprise?" He grinned sheepishly before rising to his paws and greeting Sinfulatrocity with an affectionate nuzzle. "It's good to see you again." He purred, breathing in her sweet scent.
Sinfulatrocity's body reacted before her mind did and she took the sudden appearance of an 'enemy' a little too seriously. In seconds she had her paws on Foxtrotter's throat, claws still sheathed but a deadly pressure was still there, she could and would crush his windpipe if she needed to. Of course, the moment she realized the source of the terror she relaxed and looked away, blushing beneath the camouflaged of her dark fur coat, "Mouse-brain! You know I'm not supposed to be here. With all that noise you just made, it'll be a miracle if we don't get caught now. I should go..."
DayClan was peaceful, yes, but WinterClan was at war and she would do everything she could to avoid such confrontations. It wasn't that Sinfulatrocity was a coward. She just didn't want to put anyone else at risk, especially not Foxtrotter... if word got back to the WinterClan leadership of her relationship with this outsider, there was little doubt in her mind that they would put a target on his back. Demons weren't supposed to find love... much less one that hailed from somewhere else than the mountains.
Foxtrotter's eyes widened in both surprise and fear when he felt his mate's paws on his throat. He relaxed and let out a puff of relief when she released him from her grip. Damn she was feisty! Then it crossed his mind. What if he had been another Dayclan cat? Would she have killed one of his clan mates? He immediately pushed the thought out of his mind. Perhaps it was just a bluff. Just a scare to protect herself It didn't mean she would actually take the life of one of his clan mates. "S-sorry" he apologized. "Please don't go. My clan mates are aware of my clumsy and loud behavior. They won't think anything is out of the ordinary. They would be more concerned if I were quiet." He chuckled, twitching his whiskers in amusement. "Anyway, I'm glad you could make it to see me. I've missed you. And with all of this war going on between our clans, it only makes me wish you were here with me more." He brushed his tail down her flank. "You should stay here. Despite being at war, I'm sure Dayclan will allow you to stay." His eyes were round with worry. Rumors have spread and apparently Winterclan has been in misery under the rein of Wintrystar. He worried about her daily.
"I--- No, I couldn't. Living in DayClan is not an option for me," Sinfulatrocity shut that idea down real quickly because, the longer they spoke about it, the more tempted she was to give in and actually move into the peaceful Clan. It was what he heart wanted, but she knew all it would do was put Foxtrotter at risk and further drive a wedge between their two warring Clans. Wintrystar didn't need another reason to invade DayClan. It just wasn't worth the risk, "Why can't we just leave things as they are? I wish I could see you more too, Foxtrotter, but the time we spend apart makes me even more fond of you. I'd turn into a different cat entirely if I got spoiled with happiness indefinitely!"
He didn't really want to leave things the way they were. What if they wanted to start a family some day? How would that work? Would this go on for as long as they lived? Or perhaps he would lose her and the thought of that struck fear into his heart. However, he couldn't stand to disappoint her. He'd give her the world. If she wanted to leave things the way they were, he would support her completely. "I understand..." He responded, slight disappointment in his voice despite his warm smile. "How are you, by the way? Are you eating enough? Taking care of yourself?" His gaze was affectionate and his eyes held so much love for her. He only cared about her well being, physically and mentally, above all else.
Sinfulatrocity was very happy that the topic of her joining DayClan had been dropped. She could sense Foxtrotter's displeasure, though, and it weighed heavy on her. He had no idea how much she actually wanted to live with him and stay in DayClan for the rest of her days. But she knew what that would cost. DayClan and WinterClan were at war and, if Sinfulatrocity was found here, it would just give Wintrystar a reason to raid DayClan and kill Foxtrotter. Demons were not allowed to be happy, after all, much less take mates and raise families.
"I'm... fine," She replied after a lengthly pause. It was a lie - Foxtrotter could probably tell. Parts of Sinfulatrocity's blue-gray pelt was matted and, beneath all the fluff, her ribs were all too visible. She wasn't starving necessarily, but she was very thin, definitely too thin for DayClan standards. She and all of her siblings were in a similar condition, "Listen, I don't want to talk about me anymore. How about you tell me how you're doing?"
He could tell she was lying about her well-being but he knew better than to press on. Besides, even though he was her mate, her clan business was her clan business and none of his. He wouldn’t go spreading Dayclan’s business to her. “Other than missing you? I’m doing fine.” He purred, giving a wink. “Been trying to keep myself busy. With green leaf here, prey has been plentiful. I’m sure if you wanted to take some with you, I won’t say anything.”
