Limping out of the nursery, the silver-white queen looked around slowly. It had been some time since she had time to herself. So now that her sole surviving kit, Moonkit, was out on a special patrol Rivermist was not sure that she liked the quiet. The world for the past few moons had revolved around Moonkit and it took all of her time and energy to keep the small kit from getting into mischief. And now that she wasn't in her care, the queen was not sure what she could do with her time off.
Finding a small patch of sunshine, Rivermist sat down and began to stretch the sore muscles in her leg due to a run in with a group of rogues. It was a few minutes into her stretching when she heard the camp entrance rustle. Thinking that moonkit was back from patrol, the anxious she-cat peered over her shoulder to see if her kit had returned yet. "Moonkit?" She called out softly.

The rustling soon became too big to be Moonkit as Disloyaldog stepped out, his tall slim shadow appearance was daunting compared to the usual vibrant colored, doe eyed DayClan toms around. This Forsaken looked more like he could turn his acid green eyes on anyone and they would appear like a snakes, less like a cats. He rolled his head around to see who had talked to him, "Oh hey, the kids on a patrol," He said, thumping a paw against his ear to get some water out, "It's been a long time since I had a rugrat of my own. Yuccablossom, the Immortal Council member energetic cat, she's my daughter. The rest of the pack left home some long time ago, can't ever say I was as attached to them as you seem to be for Moonkit though, you two must be close," He observed.
For being a Forsaken with an intimidating look his tone came off casual, intrigued by her even, like the big bad wolf had found a new shiny object to be curious about. He had a slight German accent that seemed to drip unceremoniously into certain words.

Once Rivermist discovered it wasn't Moonkit, she felt her shoulders drop in disappointment. She wasn't even sure how long the patrol was supposed to last, but she hoped her daughter was minding the warriors. She blinked her vivid blue eyes when she realized that Disloyaldog had been speaking to her. She sat up slowly sliding her stiff leg underneath her and watched the tom warily. There were some things surrounding Moonkit's heritage that she'd prefer to keep silent and so she had to choose her words carefully.
"Moonkit is the only kit of my litter that survived. She almost died with her sister when she was only a moon old." Rivermist paused finding it hard to keep the emotion from her voice and eyes. That had been a hard couple of moons losing kit after kit. But Moonkit helped her to stay strong. The she looked directly into disloyaldog's eyes and lifted her chin. "I think that gives me enough reason to worry about her, don't you think?"
"Eh, if you do that you'll never stop worrying for the kit. And what good will that do if you worry about everything you can't save her from?" Disloyaldog said dismissively before adding a touch more softly, "I understand the loss though, had an older son, Caspianpaw, he died of a sickness that spread across the entire clan. He had kits very young so I had to tell them that their dad wasn't coming back, hard stuff. But no amount of worrying could have saved him."
He tilted his head to the side in a gesture for her to follow him, "maybe you could just use a distraction? We could go to the city, I happen to have high status in Primal Instinct so we could walk wherever we want. Um let's see... Sometime's I like to flick pebbles at kittypets until they chase me down and beat me up. Oh and swimming by the large pond in Cadence Valley."

Rivermist listened quietly. Since Moonkit had been born she rarely had time to converse with others outside of the den, let alone have time for herself the kit had boundless energy. "That is very sad." She admitted softly. Moonkit would never know who her father was and Rivermist hoped that she wouldn't ask.
Despite her worries, the thought of flicking pebbles at kittypets was intriguing and her whiskers twitched in amusement. "Did the kittypets beat you up or did you beat them up?" She asked with a grin. She had seen a few kittypets in the past and they didn't seem fit enough to beat up any warrior. "I'm all for a distraction as long as there's no bloodshed."
His acid green eyes lit up in surprised amusement, "Heh, no, they beat me up, it wouldn't be very fun if I beat them up. Being violent with others is such a chore anyways, it's nice when someone else does the heavy lifting of pummeling you to the ground for you," He assured her.
Despite his lethal build, he skipped along the path to two-leg place, not much of a care on whether people perceived him strong or not, "Hey River, do you like rivers? I just find it funny, people have the name Fox and I'll be like, do you like foxes? And they'll get all offended and be like," He changed his voice to a more girly tone, which was such a dynamic change anyone could hear thought he was possessed by another voice, "NoooOooOO! How dare you! I HATE foxes." He laughed changing back to his normal voice, "And I don't get why they're so offended at me. Like be offended at your mom who named you something you hate, right? So that's why I ask."

Rivermist chuckled as she limped along behind him. Despite the stiffness of her leg the queen was able to keep up with the tom. "I haven't thought about that much." She admitted thoughtfully to Disloyaldog's question. Did she like rivers? Well the queen certainly didn't hate them, she just had a heavy dose of respect for them. Rivermist never before gave her name much thought, except that she liked how it sounded graceful and mysterious.
"I like my name well enough not to complain." She laughed at Disloyaldog's impression. "While I like rivers, I prefer to keep all four paws on dry ground. I found out that I was not much of a swimmer as an apprentice and that was my fault." She paused remembering the experience with a shiver. Even stepping into a small stream made the she-cat panic. That one experience was enough for the long furred cat to watch any moving water from a healthy and safe distance.
"Aw that's too bad, I love the water, can't get enough of it," Disloyaldog admitted.
He made his way towards the curved circular thunder path, surrounding it were some two-leg dens. "Alright, let's find a kittypet, burn down its house and everything it loves. Oh no wait, no, flick pebbles at them. Wow, this is wayyy more relaxing than my walks with Wanderingwight, she is always so intense."
Wandering around the bend to a yard he spotted a brown tabby. Snickering already he turned to his partner in crime, "Okay, okay, before we flick pebbles, let's totally prank him. I want you to go into the yard and warn him that his house is haunted by Old Hairy Cherry. And then I'll sneak up behind him and scare him! It'll be great, trust me, go, go."

Rivermist chuckled softly in anticipation and padded towards the tabby. She slid easily between the white pieces of wood. Why the twolegs would do something strange like this was beyond her comprehension.
"Hello there!" Rivermist greeted the kittypet with a friendly smile. The yard was well manicured and the flowers that the twolegs planted made her nose itch. But the she-cat fought back a sneeze as her eyes were on their prank victim. "Did you know that your house is haunted by Old Hairy Cherry?" She asked tilting her head slightly. "Old Hairy Cherry was this olddddd cat that loved to kill and eat cats. He even saved their bones to chew on them later." She whispered.
Rivermist could hear the sound of Disloyaldog snickering in the background as he tried to contain his laughter while sneaking around.
"I think I've heard of Old Hairy Cherry!" The kittypet exclaimed with wide eyes, "I heard it was a she-cat, one of those shelter cats instead of purebreds. She went psycho and just started eating her two-legs favorite kittypet."
"HEY!"
The kittypet shook at the sudden sound, swerving around to see Disloyaldog. Disloyaldog held what looked to be a fried chicken leg in the distance by the kittypet's open patio door, "I got your chicken and your house is haunted, suck on that kittypet! HAHAHAH!" He laughed as he raced for the exit, face planting right into the glass door before stumbling around to the actual open side of the door and ducking away out of the yard to meet up with Rivermist once more.
He was already holding back laughter from behind the fence as he eagerly awaited for Rivermist, ready to share with her their prize.

Rivermist couldn't help but snicker softly to herself of the kittypet's reaction. Before he could turn back around the silver queen was out of sight.
"That was so much fun! Did you see the look on his face?!" She blurted out as she skidded to a halt in front of Disloyaldog. "I mean he had no clue what was going on."
Rivermist laughed until her sides ached. It had been a long time since she had laughed so much, or had this much fun.
"Oh my gosh and you were SO INTO IT. Like I could see from the distance you were telling some heck of a story. Aw, that was so good," He said with a relaxed sigh before brightening up once more. His acid green eyes flickered over to her, "You know what's even better than that though? CHICKEN!" Disloyaldog cheered.
He pushed his prize in front of her only it wasn't a chicken leg... Well it was, but it was a plush toy of a chicken leg that seemed to make a soft noise when it was moved. "Heh, yeah, it must be old because it has no scent and tastes like nothing though, but we got it!"
"Is that-?"
Peaking over the top of a picket fence were three cats in the neighboring yard staring down at Disloyaldog and Rivermist's new prize chicken leg.
"WOW! I can't believe you got Jasper's chicken leg!" One of the fluffy white kittypets exclaimed, "What are you going to do now that you're ruler of this block?"
"Who are they? I've never even seen them before. Let alone an outdoor kittypet without a collar on," One of the orange tabby kittypets said skeptically looking Disloyaldog and Rivermist over.
The orange tabby cat jumped to the ground, already circling around them curiously, "What house are you from?"
Disloyaldog didn't even look confused despite being just in the dark about this as Rivermist was, "Oh you know the one... Rivermist, point them in the direction of our house."
