Swordstrike (Flurryofstars ) & Appleblush (pao ) - romantic date Feel free to decide if your cats signed up for this themselves or was signed up by someone else!
The Secret Garden was one of the only places during the leafbare that wasn't cold, and with the herbs and water flowing through the burrow, it was still beautiful this time of year. Spacious, but still closed off enough to give a couple some alone time or narrow the distance between a new couple. It was a perfect place to share a meal together, which was why Swordstrike and Appleblush were told to meet there. But it seemed like someone already ate the food that was supposed to be laid out for them.
Appleblush had signed up for this event thinking maybe she had another chance at love. Her last attempt had failed, leaving her with kits that she didn't know what to do with and a broken heart. He'd left her, didn't care for her, and didn't even want his kits. But that's what you get when you try finding a mate outside of your clan or one that's older than you, it's just a spell for disaster. She had only arrived in the Secret Gardens a moment ago, but she found that what was surely a picnic at one point was now gone. There were crumbs left, but no food. Frustrated that her date was already failing, the she-cat was nearly in tears at her misfortune.

Swordstrike found what should have been their picnic a few moments later, walking up to the scene of the crime with furrowed brows. It looked like it might have been nice at some point, about how he’d imagine a first date to be but now, there were only a few crumbs leftover. It wouldn’t surprise him if this was his brother’s doing, but there was no scent to indicate him ever being there. “Well, this isn’t ideal,” he sighed, but it wasn’t going to be enough to ruin the day, for him at least. He was about to laugh the situation off when he turned to Appleblush and paused. She didn’t look like she was taking it very well. “Honestly, I’m not that hungry anyway but there’s plenty of prey around here if you want to talk over a meal. Or we could go fo a walk or something?” Despite being a massive warrior, he spoke in a soft tone and leaned down to her height somewhat, giving the cue that he wasn’t one to be intimidated by. He was very much a gentle giant.
(So pretty sure you're the only one of her kits still left lol. Poor Nettlekit. gonna say the other two died in the plague just for plot purposes, I'm thinking that maybe because of that she tries to reset her life and in doing so distances herself from her surviving kit as though he doesn't exist and that none of that ever happened?)
Appleblush really couldn't believe her luck. Things just never seemed to go her way, here she was trying to reinvent herself and her hopes were once again crushed all because someone was cruel and destroyed their date before it could ever begin in the first place. It was depressing. How she just wanted to go back to camp and cry into her sister's shoulder or wail to her father about her miseries. The ginger she-cat sniffed, but listened as the tom spoke. He was much larger than herself, same as Barbatos had been. The similarities ended there though, and for that she was glad. Appleblush didn't want her first day back out on the dating scene to be marred by her last lover and father of her kits, Barbatos. "Sure." She sniffed again, nodding her head along with whatever he wanted to do. She'd be fine with lunch and a walk, it was simple enough, even if their picnic had been destroyed.

(Aw poor kits! That makes sense though. I'll make a note of it so I know to play Nettekit accordingly too.)
He offered her a smile, but somehow he didn't think it would help much. Nor did he feel it was especially genuine. It was always difficult for him to act happy around those that weren't, and he knew that the rest of their date he'd be worrying about her. But they barely knew each other, so it wasn't his place to pry. He would just have to try to cheer her up. "Alright. Here, I'll catch you something. What's your favorite food?" He looked away from her a moment, lifting his head to scan the area and scent nearby prey. Hunting was his strong suit, so he was positive that he could do this for her at least and maybe salvage their date before it was too late.
(You're welcome to promote him. I'm thinking about her getting with Passionpaw, cleav and I talked about it a while back, so it's really just getting cleav to reply lol, and that was planned to be an on-again off-aging relationship too so we'll see how it goes. We can do a fling for these two, or he could be who she goes back to between being with Passionpaw? Here's what cleav and i had planned originally, but the only parts that's really been followed through on so far is the fact that her lover left her after finding out she was pregnant. Maybe Nettlekit and Passionpaw could still have developed that father-child relationship? Meanwhile Swordstrike is her rebound guy? They could even become mates in that time and break up or stay together, whatever we decide
Ploy - Ends up pregnant as an apprentice. The father of her children maybe a mentor/warrior that doesn’t return the same feelings after learning news of her pregnancy. Maybe disowns them and ghosts out of their life. Maybe she loses the litter or most of the litter and struggles with it. At the same time, she's become close friends with Passionapaw, the two even calling each other bffs. While Passionpaw is out having flings and being logical in general, Applepaw has become obsessed with her mystery lover from another clan. He's older, more charming, and overall a desirable target, but he's not that interested in her and dumbs her the moment he finds out she's pregnant. Passionpaw is left to pick up the pieces and helps get his bff back on her paws. IN doing so he stops his flings to help her raise her kits, which have started calling him dad and he's just accept it. The two realize that the right one for them was right there besides them the whole time and become mates.)
Appleblush blushed some, she'd never been asked her favorite food, not even by her last lover. The mere idea of attention was nice, and he seemed so genuine about it too. "Blackbird, but any bird really. But you..you don't have to worry about me, I can catch something as well." It was only polite for her to catch her own prey and he his, or her to catch his if he insisted on hunting for her. The ginger she-cat shuffled her paws, sniffling one last time. Her voice was quiet, a little rough form her near tears earlier.

(Hmmm okay. They could always have a fling and then Swordstrike could be upset about just being a rebound. He wouldn't lash out so much, but he'd probably start avoiding her until they could sit down and have a conversation--if that ever happens. After that, we could see what happens. If Passionpaw doesn't work out then maybe they could become mates, or she could keep using him as a rebound and it will just be unrequited love. I'm pretty open!)
"Are you sure?" Swordstrike asked. He would have thought a she-cat might enjoy being pampered, but here Appleblush was maybe proving him wrong. It certainly didn't bother him. He wasn't really used to mutual kindness. He was always the one to go the extra mile in a relationship and he never asked or expected much in return. Nothing more than loyalty. He watched her for a moment, questioning whether she'd just been speaking out of courtesy or if there was actual intention behind her words. He cocked his head at her after a while, and smiled. "I'd like to catch you a bird, but if you get me something too, I won't be mad." He let out a small laugh as he turned away to scan their surroundings. His body was already humming with the thrill of a hunt. It was one of his favorite things to do.
(okay I completely lost this thread and then remembered there was talk about a plot with Appleblusha nd then found it. So what do we wanna do with this? I'm down for continuing things or time skipping or making a new thread even. Passionpaw is dead, rip, so that plot doesn't work anymore. So we can still do Swordstrike and Appleblush and have them as end game, just not with Passionpaw in it. Maybe they both ignore Nettlekit and basically act like he doesn't exist in their new perfect life? Have kits of their own and all that.) Flurryofstars

(I’m cool with time-skipping and going for end-game with them, but Sword isn’t the type to ignore Nettle. Maybe he could try to convince her to loosen up a bit with her kit and that could cause drama between them? Idk. pao )
(Ohhh that sounds good with me. Almost said we should message Nettle's rper but you their rper lol soooo. lol do we wanna role play end game or just jump to them being canon?)

(Yes, I am Nettle’s rper lmao. We could jump to them being canon. Just say this date went well and they had a few more before deciding to become officially mates or something. Does that sound good? Maybe he’s trying to become “part of the family” and then realizes that Apple doesn’t care about that?)
