Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Rabbitpaw (strawberrycupid) & Butterflykit / Regalkit (ashestoashes) - friendship date Feel free to decide if your cats signed up for this themselves or was signed up by someone else!
Luckily enough, Rabbitpaw and Butterflykit had been told to meet in camp, just outside of the medicine cat's den. The spot was filled with odd, almost useless, items, but things that could be used to craft something else. There were twigs, acorns, dead leaves, even some seashells and vines, and plenty more. It seemed as if someone had already attempted to make a necklace, but had given up halfway through, though some of the materials used now had a bite mark. Though it wasn't specifically stated, it was almost implied that they were supposed to craft each other a gift.

Butterflykit had put her name up on the list to make some friends. She didn't know why but some of the kits didn't want to play with her which frustrated the small kit. Instead she would just play with her siblings, especially Royalkit who always seemed to look up to her in awe. This time however she was determined to make a friend, even started to work on a necklace for them. She was making a decent way in when Royalkit came up to her looking worried. "Sorry to bother you Butterfly but it seems one of the queens wanted to talk to you in the nursery but I dunno what for." The she cat look at him in surprise and nodded to him before walking away quietly to the nursery.
Meanwhile Royalkit gave a small sigh feeling relived that Butterflykit wasn't going to meet whomever was supposed to meet her here. He didn't tell her how he disliked her putting her name up on a list to meet a friend when obviously in the end they would just hurt her. Especially toms. It didn't matter if they were kits but he was going to protect her in anyway possible, and she really didn't need friends when she had Sleepykit, Dreamkit, and him. They would never hurt her and be her friends, so she wouldn't need anyone else. He however wasn't afraid to get hurt so didn't mind making friends. Sure it was hypocritical but honestly he didn't care. The tom turned around when he noticed Rabbitpaw walk in knowing they were supposed to meet up with Butterflykit. Did Rabbitpaw know they were going to meet up with Butterflykit specifically? Royalkit took a chance and causally walked up to her. "Uh hey so it looks like we are going to hang out. How are you doing today?"

It must have been good luck for Royalkit that it was Rabbitpaw who was chosen. She didn't even write her own name on the list. Jayjack did, something or other about getting to know the clan. It wasn't what she wanted, preferring to just curl in her den and watch cats walk by from afar. People... weren't good for her.
It, admittedly, was worse that she was paired with a kit. She didn't even realize she had that sort of pride until she was told. But, thankfully for Royalkit, she was just told where she would be meeting. The white she-cat still walked with a limp, but her leg had greatly healed from the state it had been in. Odd eyes glanced over to the pile then trailed down to Royalkit. "I'm good. How are you?" Rabbitpaw lied, he didn't need to know. She was close to sounding sweet enough to be authentic.

"I'm uh well enough," the meowed awkwardly at first unsure of what to say before quickly recovering. "Hey it looks like they set up a necklace project of sorts to do. I know she cats have fun doing these so if you want we can totally get started!" Honestly making necklaces sounded lame to him. He could have claimed that he made the necklace that was already started but didn't want her to think he was some sort of soft cat. If she wanted to though he would to be polite. "If you don't want to do that though we could always do something else if you want. I don't care much for what we do." Regalkit kept in mind that his sister would eventually return so tried to figure out a plan to keep Rabbitpaw away from Butterflykit. The apprentice seemed nice enough but did not trust her with his big sister.

Rabbitpaw's eyes narrowed briefly in suspicion. He... was awkward. The kind Rabbitpaw couldn't immediately believe would sign up for something like this. At least, not willingly. Maybe a family member persuaded him. But then the whole necklace thing came up, and her mouth quirked to the side. She didn't really care for the gender standards the clan could of had, but if it was true, why would they sign this tom kit up for it? But Rabbitpaw knew better than to open her mouth, to talk back. So she kept those thoughts to herself.
The necklaces did sound fun. She wondered if she could make one for Jayjack. Would he wear it if she gave it to him? She hoped so. "You've never made one before, huh?" Rabbitpaw took a few steps forward before settling down in front of the necklaces. She hadn't either to be honest. "It's more fun than you give it credit for." Pulling a vine and a acorn towards her, she started working the top of it off.

Royalkit watched as Rabbitpaw started making the necklace rather intrigued by her actions. When he looked at it originally he thought it would be boring but watching the apprentice do it...kinda looked like fun. But he didn't pick up a vine nor anything else for necklaces and instead decided to make small talk. "Sooooo whats it like to be an apprentice? Must be a loooot of work but super fun!"
Meanwhile Butterflykit found herself in the nursery asking one queen after another who requested her to be in here but couldn't find any answer's. Who wanted her to come in here? However she was grabbed by a queen who decided to groom her while she was in here anyway. The little kit wanted this to end quickly so she didn't miss meeting her new mysterious friend.

Rabbitpaw managed to get the acorn top off with a pop, shaking her paw as she stared down at the decorations. Even if the implications were there, she didn't pick up on them. She just wanted to make something cool for Jayjack. Like, light yet stylish. She tied the acorn top near one end of the vine as Regalkit rattled off his questions. She really didn't know, she had only been here for about a moon, maybe less. "Compared to being a kit, I guess it is a lot of work. You actually gotta work and learn how to hunt and fight and all that. But yeah, the freedom is really nice." Having the back up was like releasing a chain she didn't even realize was around her neck. Not that Rabbitpaw fully trusted Fallclan yet.

Regalkit truly was impressed, "Wow that's awesome! You sound like a really really cool cat!" An idea formed into his tiny kitten mind as he added, "If its not a problem could I see some of the cool things you've learned so far?" It truly was a perfect plan as he really did want to see the things she had been taught but would also get her out of here and away from Butterflykit. To the tom he felt like an utter genius.

Rabbitrun didn't completely believe that. It wasn't like she was any different than any of the other apprentices. Especially since she only trained for a moon or two, and now she was old enough to be promoted. To what? She wasn't sure yet. Though when she heard his "genius" idea, she quickly shook her head. "I wanna make this for Jayjack though, Regalkit. And I can't take you out of camp without the queen's permission." Maybe warrior would be better, she wasn't sure she could handle this every day.

Regalkit kept his clam as best as one could and tried to come up with a better plan. Instead he shook his head in understanding as he grabbed a vine to make some sort of necklace. How would he get the both of them out before Butterflykit came? The tom thought really hard before coming to the conclusion he would more than likely have to leave for a moment to intercept Butterflykit. Convince her to not come, but how in Starclan would he do that?
Butterflykit remained still for the last few moments of the grooming before she dashed out hoping her new friend wouldn't leave before they even met. In honesty she was excited to meet someone new. Her brothers always seemed to be around everytime she wanted to make a friend. It wasn't that it annoyed her at all but she wanted to make friends and found that difficult with her younger brother always behind her heels. She was almost back to her destination when her shyness kicked in. Would the new cat even like her? What if they found her boring because she was a kit? What if she spoke too much or too little? Butterflykit hesitated and stopped walking. was she truly ready for this?
