Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Yumemi fidgeted with a dead leaf as she waited at the SummerClan border, wondering if she would be greeted with a patrol to kick her out, instead of Crow. Distantly, she wondered if her message had even arrived at its destination, or if the SummerClan apprentice she'd bribed with food had betrayed their promise to deliver it. Maybe it hadn't been a SummerClan apprentice at all. Maybe it had been some rando loner and she'd risked life and limb to catch all that prey for no reason. That was something that would happen to her, wasn't it?
She sighed, the dead leaf crumbling into pieces under her claws. She hated waiting, but for now, it was all she could do.
so now that crow joined summerclan yumemi decided she was gonna leave the forest and f i n d h e r s e l f but first she's gotta say goodbye to crow
woof i'm tagging @ian and sunlight as well because anyone yumemi knows for five minutes is one of her best friends according to her LMAO
Yumemi didn't have to wait much longer, despite how her anxiety probably made the seconds feel like hours. When the bushes rustled ahead of her, the form thag separated itself from the shadows had a familiar, distinct limp and highlighted a pair of bright, glimmering amber eyes. "It's good to see you again, Yumemi," purred Crow, nosing his muzzle to hers in greeting.
“Oh my god, bossman! You showed up!” Yumemi’s eyes gleamed as she rushed forward to greet the tom. “This is exciting! Usually people don’t do that when I invite them out!”
She took a few seconds to calm herself. “But, um, really—thank you for coming,” she said, and gestured for him to sit. “I would’ve caught you something as a thank you, but, uhh, I still can’t really wrap my head around the whole hunting thing...but that’s behind us now. I invited you out here because I have something to tell you that you may or may not care about.”
He listened to her fumble through her sentences, a surge of homesickness for his group blitzing through him, then gestured with his tail at the SummerClan side of the border. "Why don't you come on over and we can find a nice place to chat? You look like you're about to jump out your fur," he purred, but an undercurrent of concern was noticeable in his voice.
As they traveled further into SummerClan's land, they shared mostly mindless chatter, Crow telling her all about his newborns as she filled him in on news pertaining to the group he left behind. Eventually they came to a small brook trickling through a meadow, and here he stretched out near the bank. "So what's thus news of yours?"
"Oh, right, right, my big news. Biiiiiiig big big big news. Drumroll please!" she chirped, and thudded her paws against the bank of the brook. "I'm moving away! Forever! Exciting, right?!"
"It's great news!" Yumemi beamed. "And you know what's the best part! You're the reason why!" She stared at him expectantly, eyes gleaming as she waited for a response.
"Because of me?" Crow echoed, eyes bulging out his head at this information. Did she....not like him? Was he smelly? He sniffed at his furry armpits and frowned; maybe he needed to shave. "What did I do?"
"Whaddya mean, what did you do?" Yumemi frowned, the expression looking out of place on her face. "You were yourself, silly! Seeing your strong moral backbone in action made me realise that I don't have anything like that for myself. When someone tells me to do something, I just do it, because I want them to like me. But you have your own values, and that means you know to turn someone down when they ask you to do something horrible!"
