Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The call sounded out from behind her, and Lovelypaw was quick to spin around to darty dart back in the direction she'd just come from. Sure, she could have taken a normal route in this and went to someone her own age-- like, say, Saltpaw, whose company she actually enjoyed or even Havenpaw, recalling their date as well but then she remembered that Havenpaw threatened to squishy squish Bloodystar's guts out like a bug-- but she didn't want the obvious choices! She wanted Bloodystar.
She trampled everything that stood in the way of her and the most gloriousest of High Priests not just because he was the only High Priest they had, paws crashing down on dirt, sand, leaves, Sagepaw as he stood aside to recite his poetry to the masses, everything-- she only had one goal, and Sun God, she was going to achieve it!
As soon as the gingery ginger tom came into view, his leggy legs working at full speed, Lovelypaw launched herself at him like something straight up possessed being thrown across a haunted room. "Here I aaaaammmm!" She did not, however, notice Saltpaw doing the same. meowJadie i am not sorry
Enchantedpaw, who'd also been there the entire time, snickering about some juicy piece of gossip with her bestest gal pal Mistletoepaw, applied a generous amount of scarlet paint to the tippity top of her nose, bound to attract the attention of the Sun God who would surely be pleased with how readily she was honoring Him. She was so busy thinking of how blessed she was to partake in this ceremony that she didn't hear Bloodystar announce to release the she-cats nor did she see Mistletoepaw go to take off running. The only thing she saw was her bestest gal pal pull back after a collision with her and saw the red paint infusing itself with the viridian paint on Mistletoepaw's nose. "Oh... yeah, I think so?" She chuckled a little. "I guess this means we have to cuddle now? And, like, twine our tails and stuff? Do I take your last name or do you take mine?" Neglecting to notice that they both, technically, had the same last name. meow
Bloodystar's full grown leggy legs were longer than even Saltpaw's lanky ones, and he was falling behind even as he also somehow managed to trample Sagepaw from the opposite direction, ignoring him as he said something about boney bones, but Saltpaw gathered himself and took an almighty leapy leap aimed at his most glorious of High Priests - and, rather than catching Bloodystar in his embrace and pulling off the most impressive romance festival victory in the history of the Clan, collided with Lovelypaw in midair.
Their skully skulls bonked together, Lovelypaw's multicolored face paint smearing all over Saltpaw as his nose painted a yellow streak down the middle of her prismatically adorned face. "Oh, Bloodystar," he said in a daze as they landed in a tangle of limbs, not yet realizing that he had not in fact caught his intended prey. Had the ground been spinning like this the whole time? His head kind of hurt.... "Wait.. you're not Bloodystar..."
"Oh, yeah, I guess we'll have to move into the same nest now..." mused Mistletoepaw, feeling a flashy flash of disappointment at not having been caught by a tom that felt strangely similar to relief. Weren't emotions weird? "Maybe we should hyphenate it? Mistletoepaw-paw and Enchantedpaw-paw," she said, not bothering to move out of the way of any of the other runners and somehow also whacking Sagepaw in the face with her tail. woof
Bleedingheart ended up looping around, wanting to keep an eye on the tom and other she-cats. This way she could either let them catch her or avoid them if it was someone she didn’t like. Of course she watched the chaos that was two different apprentices going after the high priest, she stopped to laugh at them. Unlike that group she managed to avoid Sagepaw who seemed to be underfoot of everyone. Of course while she stopped to watch, she didn’t realize that she was in the middle of the fray. Exactly what she had been trying to avoid.
So of course she froze slightly as Bloodystar himself came charging right at her. She didn’t think he would choose her but still, it was enough to get her moving again. But the Sun God clearly wanted a comedy today as she turned around only to trip and land on her belly. Somehow she did not mess up her nose paint this whole time. Jadie

Tawnyowl sprang from the starting line like a bat out of the dark forest, his nose a gentle forest green. Even now, he wasn’t sure if participating in this was a good idea. He had only been on one date with the target of his choice, but knowing she was here had him worried someone else might swoop her up. Maybe he was crazy for thinking they had chemistry so soon. If any cat was forced into a tight space together the way they were, they’d probably bond just as quickly, but his instincts demanded he try.
Right out the gate he had to dodge the bodies of flying apprentices, but he made it through the initial chaos. He wasn’t too concerned about someone else going for him even if Bloodystar wasn’t running, so he focused solely on the scent trail of Brightdawn, sprinting as though the Sun God was pulling him her way. I hope she wants this too...racer

Duskfable watched the ceremony in full swing, brown eyes darting around the cats until they landed on Magnoliablush. The two cousins had grown close, and while he couldn't see her, he watched her bolt away from Paintedcanyon. It made his fur bristle. He must have been harassing her or something, but Duskfable wouldn't let him have his way. Dotting his nose with a red paint, he joined the toms just in time to take off after Paintedcanyon. racerNova
Compared to the others, Vantapaw didn't move from his sitting spot. He was more interested in observing rather than participating. None had caught his eye and the one that almost did seemed to be having a fit with her father. So the black tom didn't bother. Least until he saw his brother approach the group. His fur bristled, and he slowly stood up and followed him to Bravepaw. "You're that bad, huh? Guess this isn't the event for you." He lightly teased the tom his brother was interested in. @samiam Honeystorm
Anemoneshade wasn't interested in running, but her kits wanted her to. They all sat at the sidelines and watched with wide eyes as she dabbed the lavender paint on her nose. She had a tom in mind, but wasn't sure he'd be interested too after that disaster of a first date. The ruins crumbling on them was practically a metaphor for her relationships, tumbling around her with her trapped in. Still, it was for her kits if nothing else. Not that she saw Naturalgift in the crowd, she'd run anyway... for her kits. At the go signal, she took off like a bullet.
Flurryofstars if you're down for something to happen between them. or anyone really.
Palekit had snuck away from the paint party, her sandy tabby coat now covered in shades anywhere from yellow to red. She looked like a sunburst, streaked with black. She had come to see if her mother had run, of course with how the day was going she soon found herself in the middle of the fray. “Oh boy!” She squealed as she jumped out of the way. In her jumping and dodging she rammed into Sagepaw, smearing him with all the colors on her face. “Oh, are you’re mine now.” She looked up at the older tom. Personally Palekit thought she was to young for this but also she didn’t think there was a way out of this. “That’s fine, I like poetry.” woof

Silverdragon had taken off quickly. His pale green eyes had quickly lost Alios in the flood of she-cats, but he was determined to find her once more. He wasn’t sure what he was expecting. Anything at the romance festival could happen. He could very well leave here with a new friend, or perhaps something more. Her scent trail had led to the river, but had stopped there. Confusion flitted across his face for a moment before he started to connect the pieces. She was making this a challenge, but where would she go? The river could only go one of two places, and he doubted she’d go to the burial grounds. The tom quickly turned on his heel and ran straight towards the ceremony springs. racer Paintedcanyon hadn’t really rushed out along with the other toms. He was more curious then anything. He never really participated in the romance festival before, and so far it was... well interesting. The dark ginger tom had unknowingly headed in the same direction that Magnoliablush had gone in. He wasn’t sure why he chose to travel this way. Something told him that by going this way things would only get far more interesting. strawberrycupidracer
In the most critical moment when Bloodystar was gaining speed with she-cats in front and behind darting either away or at him a large SNAP sounded, echoing only silence in the following rhythms. In a flash of sunset crimsons the priest was gone with the scent ending right where he had stood.
A lengthy vine was tethered across the back of one of Bloodystar's legs hanging him high above everyone's head, shielded from view by a canopy of leaves. The vine slowly spun him before a blue grey paw gently stopped him. "Ohh, you're dressed up today, should I be jealous?"
Nikkohydrangea sat face to face with Bloodystar, his dead eye expression was as startling as ever, boring into what Nikko would describe as, Bloodystar's rabid stare. His paw held Bloodystar by the side of the cheek to keep the vine from naturally spinning him as he waited for a response. One thing was too noticeable to miss, which was the missing back leg he had.

Brightdawn had quite the lead on the other toms when she heard the roar of the crowd that could only mean that the toms had been released. Her ears flicked backwards as she picked up her face. She had seen how fast Tawnyowl could run and she didn't want to make this to easy of a challenged for him. Besides if she waited she risked running into the other toms. Glancing behind her as he feet slapped against the parched ground. Flurryofstars ------------------> Alios had rounded her way back around to the ceremony springs, standing on the other side of the sunflower fields where she could watch the events unfolding. After the toms has been released and the crowd has dissipated she made her way back through the clearing her sent mixing with the crowds to confused him even farther, and then leaving across the log that crossed over the red river before finally circling around back towards the camp Nova -----------------> Magnoliablush got into a crouch as she saw Paintedcanyon approaching just out of sight. Every step he took bringing him closer and closer to where she lied in wait. Her heart beat heavily against the sides of her chest, thinking that she might just explode. Brightdawn's scent grew stronger to the point Tawnyowl knew he was close, but man were his muscles straining as he went. A little ache wasn't going to stop him though and his paws thundered against the ground. He was determined to get to her before anyone else could even think of trying it, and he was about to reach his goal. Her familiar pelt flashed into his line of sight and against all of the odds, his speed increased. "How about another race?" he called to her, unable to stop himself from grinning. racer
Naturalgift was out for a stroll, completely oblivious to the mate choosing ceremony going on. He must have gotten his days messed up or something because a she-cat sprinted past him with a colorful nose and he swore that was part of the ceremony. "Huh. How odd," he said, but quickly shrugged it off and kept walking towards camp. Then another she-cat flew past and another and another and at that point he understood. So when he spotted a beautiful mix of white and lilac fur, not unlike the clump left behind in their game of hide n seek, darting across the territory, there was only one option. "Anemoneshade!" he exclaimed the instant before he lunged into motion. It didn't even cross his mind that she might be running for someone else, that he wasn't wearing any paint, or that the toms might not have even been released at this point. All that mattered was that she was there and he wanted to go to her. As crazy as it was, he wanted her. strawberrycupid
"Mom---!" Valleyrose reached out to grab Tinymutiny, but her mother was too fast, by the time she even realized which direction she was going, Tinymutiny was already a blip on the horizon. She exchanged one of those knowing looks with her brother, the kind that siblings can only give siblings, it meant something along the lines of 'oh shoot' and lasted just a fraction of a second before Valleyrose took off after Tinymutiny.
She didn't have any paint left on her nose, but it wasn't like she was really running. Valleyrose was on a mission to escort her mother home without causing any more scenes.. racerNova

"You know I---," Soaringpaw tried to reply to Blindfaith but Bloodystar's announcement for the she-cats to run cut her off. We'll have to continue this conversation later, she thought, frowning, then off she went, careful to make sure Blindfaith was keeping up with her okay. While she appreciated her sister's presence if anything in a event like this she was a massive liability. Soaringpaw's goal of protecting other cats was very quickly turning into protecting just her sister. It was defeating the purpose of her attending at all.
Well, she was already here, no point in thinking like that now.
Soaringpaw heard the toms be released and was compelled to glance back. They were pretty far ahead now, but she knew she'd be able to make out their forms from a distance, which would help her at least know the best direction to go to avoid them. When she turned back, though, all she saw was a blur of dark fur a bright blue eyes right on her heels! Letting out an honestly very cute squeak of surprise, she totally lost her footing and fell backwards, causing the cat behind her to tumble right on top of her. After rolling for a couple of seconds they came to a halt.
"DARKPAW!"
She was face to face with her brother - actually, more than face to face. Their noses were touching and she was mortified.
"EW EW EW WHAT are you doing here!? She cats and toms are released at different times! UGH!" Soaringpaw pulled away from Darkpaw and put as much space between them as she could in one movement, then began to groom her fur back into place. At least we used the same paint for our noses, no one will ever know... racerFaith

Perfectstorm was one of the very first toms to start running and, thanks to his long limbs, had no troubles getting several fox-lengths ahead of most of the others. It helped that he had a clear target in mind from the beginning: Head above the crowd, it wasn't hard to see which direction she went, aided by the fact that her siblings were stuck close to her like glue. Really, it couldn't have been any easier... his problem was that he'd have to deal with Soaringpaw and Darkpaw, an apprentice duo that, when fighting together, gave even the most experienced Warrior a run for their money.
The silver-furred tom was trying to come up with some way to separate them when he heard Soaringpaw squeal followed by the sounds of a scuffle. Grinning, he rushed forward and found the siblings tumbling and Blindfaith standing there all alone, a shaft of light illuminating her like a beacon.
He wasn't a Janus, he hadn't had omen training. But to him there was no clearer sign of the Sun God's wishes than this moment right now - and he was not going to miss it.
Moving with a burst of newfound speed, Perfectstorm grabbed Blindfaith by her scruff and carried her away from her siblings amidst the confusion. He knew that he wouldn't get very far before they noticed him so he focused on finding cover rather than gaining distance, sitting her gently on the ground only once they were well within some nearby tree cover.
"Hi..." He was winded - moving a cat, even for a big guy like Perfectstorm, took a lot of energy - and was panting heavily after that overexertion. What surprised him more than anything, though, was that his heart was racing like crazy, "... Sorry about that... I..."
Why was he wasting time talking? The longer he took, the more chances she had to escape, or for her siblings to find her and fight him off. Holding his breath, Perfectstorm hesitantly leaned forward to press his silvery-blue painted nose against Blindfaith's and seal both of their fates. Faith

SORRY ALL! Bloody's reply will have to come after work, I gotta leave now lol.
Bloodystar had sort of expected a few cats to chase after him, although none of them, in his mind, had been apprentices. While he had chased after an apprentice when he was a Warrior many, many moons ago, the age difference had been only marginal, while in this case he could be their father... or even, maybe, grandfather... Which made their pursuit of him way weird. Did they have daddy issues? I mean, so did Bloodystar, but he hadn't even yet accepted the fact that he was gay, much less that the absence of a father effected him negatively in the slightest.
The High Priest did what he could to speed ahead, his long "leggy-legs" carrying him well and far ahead of the apprentices; however, he was so focused on getting ahead of them that he didn't notice Bleedingheart until she was close enough that he could see the white of her eyes. He immediately applied the breaks and tried to redirect his motion but it seemed a collision was all but guaranteed... but then he felt something wrap around his hind legs and all of a sudden the blue sky was falling toward him.
"AHHHHH!" He howled, twitching and kicking in the air as his body bobbed up and down, meticulously groomed fur sticking out at every angle. He was a big angry puff ball. Nothing new, really, "WHAT IN THE---"
Bloodystar was about to try to kick himself loose again when he felt what must have been static electricity make contact with his cheek.
"Ohh, you're dressed up today, should I be jealous?"
How long had it been since he'd heard Nikkohydrangea's irritating but also kind of sexy voice? Bloodystar cursed himself almost immediately for that second thought and fixed a frown on his face as he glared at the blue-furred tom that up until now how successfully alluded him.
"NIKKO! W-where have you been!?" When he spoke his voice was vulnerable, which was a nice change since most of the time he communicated strictly in thinly veiled threats. Now that the swinging had mostly subsided he fixed his eyes on Nikkohydrangea and blinked slowly a couple times as he took in his back leg or, more accurately, late there of, "What... what happened to you?"
His voice was even softer now, so very out of character for him. Faith
Ferventprayer took off running, giving a glance back towards Teneberousrequium as she did so. She was nervous, but in her heart she knew that this was the right thing to do. She wanted to be with Teneberousrequium and no one else. After today it would be official, and not even her father would be able to break them apart. Once she was out of site, she hid, waiting on him to make his apperance while staying out of the way of the other boys Jetclaw
(sorry this took so long Racer got hectic) Once the toms were let loose, Tenebrousrequiem immediately tore off in the direction he'd seen Ferventprayer running in. He would not lose her, this was the critical moment. He had to get to her before anyone else.
Granted if anyone else did get to her first he'd probably just rip them off her, and make it clear she was his.
He grit his teeth before opening his mouth to scent the air looking for Ferventprayer's scent. He'd seen which way she'd run and he went over to it, scenting the air for her. He didn't call out to her for fear someone else might try to take the opportunity. racer

Brightdawn forged ahead having slowed her pace slightly until Tawnyowl became a speck when she glanced over her shoulder she grinned picking up her pace slightly "You are on!!!"Brightdawn ducked down her head, going even fasted than before as she concentrated on her speed. It wasn't that she didn't want Tawnyowl to catch her, but she did want him to have to work for it. She liked Tawnyowl, quite a bit actually, however she wanted him to make his feelings clear. To show that he wanted her, and had the drive pursue this relationship. The fact that he had showed up to chase her, already had he heart pumping "Catch me if you can!" she called out into the open air Flurryofstars -------------------------> Magnoliablush stalked forward and Paintecanyon neared, her back legs bunching as she readied to launch herself at the red tom when teeth sank into her scruff and hauling her into the air. She shrieked loudly as she was slammed hard onto the ground on her back, a silver paw flashing out and landing on her chest to hold her down. Magnoliablush struggled, until she realized who is was that had pinned her. Staring up into the harsh golden eyes of her mother, she swallowed hard. Afraid to speak as Tinymutiny loomed over top of her daughter wordlessly. NovaJadiestrawberrycupid -------------------------> Ferventprayer, ducked behind some of the stones, watching as the toms came streaming toward her hiding place. She kept crouched down, hidden from view until Tenebrousrequiem appeared amongst them actually going past where she had ducked in between the stones. She slowly crept out as he scented the air standing behind him, and creeping closer until he would be able to fill her warm breath tickle the back of his neck as she tried to hold back her giggle Jetclaw ------------------------->
Darkpaw wasn't about to allow his sisters out of his site, not with what was at stake. So when the girls were released he was hot on their heels despite knowing it was against the rules. It wasn't like he was going to be going after anyone anyway, he just wanted to keep his sisters safe. Usually him and Soaringpaw were so in sync, so the fact that she came to a sudden stop caught him off guard as the two of them went tumbling around with one another until they ended with their noses touching. He blinked, staring up at her with bright blue eyes as she scrambled off of him, heat rising to his cheeks hoping that no one saw that... he half expected Blindfaith to cut in with... wait. He scanned around them, panic beginning to set in "Blindfaith" as he took in the scents following after the trail she left behind JadieFaith
"Don't try to blame her---" Soaringpaw replied immediately, assuming at first that Darkpaw was trying to say that he came to protect their sister, too. One good look at his eyes and she realized right away that that wasn't the case. Soaringpaw fell silent and looked behind her where she thought Blindfaith was, only to find that she had disappeared entirely. Her blood ran cold and she returned her gaze back to Darkpaw, mouth open as if to say something, but she said no words, she didn't need to. Nose to the ground, the dark-furred she-cat began to search for any signs of where her sister went. racer

It didn't take too terribly long before Valleyrose managed to catch up with Tinymutiny, although she realized right away that she was just a few minutes too late: Magnoliablush had been located. She frowned, her heart really did go out to her sister, but it was what it was.
"Mom, you should move your paw, she's having a hard time breathing," She said, gently placing her own paw over Tinymutiny's and tugging at it slightly. Not enough to force it to move, but perhaps enough to motivate it, "Will you tell me why you don't want her - or any of us - to run?" racerNovastrawberrycupid
Magnoliablush's paws shot upwards scrambling to push away her mother's paws as she gasped for air. After a few moments her head was spinning, her struggled growing weaker and weaker
Tinymutiny stared down hard at her daughter, a growl rumbling in her throat as Magnoliablush began to stop fighting and a soft paw was placed on hers. Her daughter's soft touch and words enough to cause her to shift slightly as she looked up in confusion giving her daughter more room to breathe but not enough to get up. She blinked several times looking between Magnoliablush, Valleyrose, and Snakebounce, trying to remember how she had gotten here and what she was doing with Magnoliablush pinned to the ground. Slowly she released the pressure, as Magnoliablush scrambled out from underneath her mother one paw rubbing her sore throat with wide eyes. Tinymutiny's paw slowly lowered to the ground "Don't bind your soul to another... It only makes it that much more painful when you loose them" sadness permeated every word, as she slowly stood looking defeated and hurt. Ashamed that she had hurt her daughter, but still fearful and eyes clouded over as she began slowly walking away, a stream of mostly incoherent words tumbling from her lips with a few understandable phrases in between "... never be the same...shattered...I should have died...." Snakebounce quickly moved closer to Magnoliablush, gently running his nose against her cheek. “Are you okay?” He whispered to her, his ears twitching uncontrollably as his fear and anxiety slowly started to dissipate. He had frozen again once his mother had another one of her moments... thank the Sun God Valleyrose had been there. The small tom looked back over to where his mother was starting to walk away. Snakebounce swallowed thickly as tears welled in his eyes, but he quickly shook his head. More than anything he just wanted his mother back. But he couldn’t cry. He wasn’t a baby anymore...
“Is everything alright?” Paintedcanyon’s voice was soft, and laced with concern as he looked at the three siblings. “I heard a bit of scuffling up here. Magnoliablush, are you alright?” The ginger tom asked as he trotted over to them, noticing how Magnoliablush had been rubbing her throat. His green eyes danced with concern as he started looking her over. “What happened? You’re not hurt are you?” racerJadiestrawberrycupid

Magnoliablush, drew her paw away only realizing that she was bleeding when she pulled her white paw away and it was stained crimson. Her eyes were misted over as she watched Tinymutiny stalking away. She had known that her mother was crazy lately, but this was on a different level. She had never just attacked her or one of her siblings before out of the blue like much less tried to kill one of them. She leaned into Snakebounce for support, still light headed from the loss of oxygen when Paintedcanyon approached...no..oh no...
She felt the heat flush to her face "I'm... I'm ok..." she stammered, but before she could stop her self more words came flooding "no, no im not ok. This was supposed to be a special day, and now its all ruined" the she-cat who was almost always prim and proper nearly collapsing to the ground in defeat nearly sobbing "I was so close, so close to telling you how I really feel about you Paintedcanyon. I wanted to surprise you, and now its all ruined" JadiestrawberrycupidNova -----------------------> Crownedstag followed the scent of really the only she-cat that had managed to capture his thoughts. Sure Bleedingheart wasn't normally his type, but he couldn't help but feel like that the two of them had formed some sort of connection on their date that he couldn't quite explain. Besides if there was any time to take a risk for love, it was now. His long powerful legs powered him over the ground quickly until he finally caught sight of his target, golden eyes gleaming like the sunset behind them @atomheart -----------------------> Vintagepaw took off with the other girls after they had been released, staying close to Lavenderillusion's side. She had grown close with the warrior lately, and she was worried that if she ran on her own that she would get herself into some sort of trouble. After all she was out of it most of the time, and she didn't want any of the toms taking advantage of her. Besides she sort of hoped that Pebblepaw would came chasing after her. He was quite handsome and their dates had been going really well. She hoped that soon enough they would be starting a family together. paocookie
Blindfaith ran along side Soaringpaw, but there was some kind of disruption that separated her from her sister. Something about Darkpaw doing something wrong? Blindfaith stopped, whirling around to try and make sense of what happened when she was dragged off of her paws by another cat pulling her by the scruff. Her heart beat quickened, muscles tensing, remembering when Flamingstar had pulled her away from SunClan. She had bound her paws and sent her warrior to drag her off to NightClan without any trouble. The situation felt the same, even though she was older she had lost her sight, her ability to fight back was all reflexes now.
She swung her paw into his face upon being gently set down, but it stopped short, only softly reaching up to the toms face when she heard Perfectstorm's voice. "Perfectstorm," She greeted. She sat up, but as she did her snout bumped into his nose, startling her for a moment, she hadn't expected him so close, "Sorry," She apologized immediately, her paw going up to her nose from bruising it slightly against his face. But the reality of what had transpired hadn't hit her yet, or rather she hadn't known they touched noses. "You scared me," She said with a shaky sigh, but an assuring smile before bumping her paw into him playfully.
"You mean, what happened after you chose Jetfire, over me?" Nikkohydrangea asked, looking to his missing back leg, "I got attacked by those two cannibals, WinterClan patched me up. Hey, let me ask you something, would you rather marry me or die? I'm just wondering," Nikkohydrangea laughed good naturedly as his claw strummed against the one vine that held Bloodystar above certain death. "I don't know, thought we had something. It was sort of like, every time we had a moment, where we could see our future together. You would go out that same night and find a girl, like you were trying to convince yourself that our moment wasn't real. I don't know, it hurt, ha, I bet it never knew heart break," He said with a passive grin before turning serious, "At least I hope not, you didn't shed a tear for that girl when she left, you, right? You never really loved her, did you?" Nikkohydrangea asked with a mix of desperation and hope. His paw raised Bloodystar's head to look into his maddening stare. It swirled with a hope that could only be achieved by an ignorant madness to neglect the truth that was in front of him. That Bloodystar was a coward to their love, always had, always would.
