Since so many new apprentices have joined, I am working on assigning them mentors.
This pairing is Tangledpaw(racer) x Anemoneshade(strawberrycupid)
Since this male apprentice is in the pregnancy pact group, I thought it would be fun to have their mentors try and talk them out of it. Of course we don't have to do that though, and this can just be a normal training session. I will just follow your lead <3

Anemoneshade wasn't sure where to start with this new apprentice. To be honest, she was a little surprised she was given an apprentice, since she still had her kits to take care of. But another queen decided to watch after them today so she could take Tangledpaw training. She waited by the entrance, licking one of her paws and dragging it over her ears. Whispers had risen about some sort of pregnancy pact group for apprentices, and supposedly her new apprentice was a part of it. A lump formed in her throat as she thought about talking to him about it.

Tangledpaw came scrambling out of the apprentices den, running so fast that he actually ran past his mentor and had to skid to a stop and come walking back to her a little bit slower this time "sorry, so sorry" his ginger curly fur was a mess, his normal ringlets crushed and at odd angles "I... I uh overslept" he admitted with a sheepish smile "I'll do better next time, Im sorry to have disappointed you on our first training session. It won't happen again miss"
The young tom was a messy. Clumsy, forgetful, and naïve, but he had a good heart and good manners.

"Anemoneshade. And it's alright." Her expression couldn't help but soften as she gently brushed some of the ringlets of his fut back into place. That kind of scatterbrained but politeness, it reminded her of her kits. She only messed with a few, standing up and stretching. "For today, you gotta be more careful with other cats, okay?" Straightening up, she took a few steps before motioning for him to follow. "We'll start with hunting, then? We can find something to eat out in the land for breakfast."

Tangledpaw purred as she moved his fur back into place, it reminded him of his mother that had died not that long ago in the fire that had ripped through their camp when the fire nation attacked sunclan. He had only been a kit then, but was close enough to promotion that none of the other queens had adopted him "Ye miss... Anemoneshade" he corrected himself. He had been taught to call all adults miss or mister, and it seemed odd to use her name instead. He was quickly on his paws padding after his new mentor "I have never been hunting before" he added excitedly, hardly containing himself from running ahead, but knowing that ir would be rude "Are you going to teach me mis...Anemoneshade"

He seemed like such a nice apprentice, which almost made her worry more. Maybe it was a motherly thing, already imagining the different ways he could be taken advantage of. She walked at a steady pace, not minding the little quirks she could see infuriating someone else. "Yes, I'll teach you the basics once we find a good place to start." Her mind trailed back to the fire. Even if the territory was slowly coming back to life, it would take a long time for it to be what it once was.

Tangledpaw was nearly dancing in place at her side, as he tried to stay at her slower pace. With each step his little curls bouncing up and down, his eyes brimming with curiosity "I want to catch a rabbit!" he chirped, his paws raising up way higher than needed like he was prancing "None of the other apprentices have caught one yet and I want to give the fur to.... someone special!"

Anemoneshade wouldn't tell him they would be incredibly lucky to even see a rabbit, let alone catch one. A lot of prey had ran off in the fire, and she was considering invading another clan's territory for the first time. It was never an issue before, she had no reason to leave. Now that she had every reason, her stubbornness only made her want to stay more.
The concern melted off her face as she laughed lightly. "Someone special, huh? They must be special to have caught your eye already." Her tone inviting the tom to divulge more, duty and curiosity pushing her further.

He nodded eagerly "she is really pre..pretty special" he agreed, floundering to cover up when he almost mispoke. After all if he hadn't said anything, this someone special could have even been one of his siblings or even his mentor herself "Anyway where are we going to find the rabbits?" he questioned changing the subject just as quickly as it had started "I heard that they live underground in grounds, kind of like the renegade regime. Why any cat or animal for that matter would want to live underground is beyond me. How is the SUn God's light supposed to reach you down there?"

"We're almost there but she's pretty, huh? Who is she? There are so many apprentices suddenly showing up in Sunclan, it's a bit hard to keep track of them." Anemoneshade pulled the conversation back to the she-cat. She kits in the nursery she could name easily, though it was easy when seven of them were your own. It was almost like a world away from the rest of Sunclan, the biggest concern becoming keeping the kits from hurting each other and soothing tantrums. She could see why other clans had specific positions for cats to raise kits.

"Divinepaw..." he finally admitted, it seemed like his mentor wasn't going to just let this go. He wanted to smack himself for how he had been such a mousebrain to bring it up at all. But as soon as he spoke the name his eyes went soft as he began to daydream. How pretty she looked with the water dripping off of her pelt following their fall in the river. How sweet her smile was when she laughed. The way... Oh wait. He looked up realizing that he had stopped walking and had to run to catch up to anemoneshade.

Anemoneshade had heard a thing or two about Divinepaw. She was one of those kits in the Pregnancy Pact or whatever it was called. The group that was all enamored with Bloodystar. They had no idea the kind of future they were setting up for themselves. But Divinepaw in particular... had a kind of over exaggerated way of everything. It was clear to everyone that she wasn't all she said she was. But how was she supposed to say this gently to him?
Though as she wondered this, she suddenly realized Tangledpaw wasn't around and looked around for him frantically before he caught up to her. "Gee, you scared me there for a moment." She said with a small laugh, "You said earlier she was special to you. How so? What kind of cute date did Bloodystar set up for you two?"

"We went fishing" he purred remembering it all fondly "I had so much fun, and she didn't even get mad when we both fell into the river"
His eyes were shimmering, as he looked up at Anemoneshade "She was just so perfect, and sweet, and..." he couldn't figure out how to word all the things that he had been feeling "It was like there was this spark between us"
