Up until this point in his life, Darkpaw hadn't thought a lot about girls or love. It just wasn't something that he was all that interested in. He had his family, and that was more than enough for him to worry about. Trying to keep up with his sister was a full time job. Even now, he couldn't exactly say that he really needed to find someone to love, but with the romance festival in full swing it seemed as if the pressure was on. He was supposed to have a blind date tonight, and who with was quite the mystery. It shouldn't have been a big deal, but the whole idea of meeting with she-cat that he may or may not have feelings for freaked him out a bit.. If he knew who it was that he had been set up with, he would have just pulled them aside and talked with them. But the thing was he didn't know...
He honestly debated on just not showing up for the date at all. After all this whole thing was ridiculous, right? He hadn't agreed to anything, he had been told that he was going. However, the other part of him knew that it would only hurt whomever he had been set up with and that wasn't right either. It was disrespectful, and if there was one thing that Darkpaw had been brought up to believe in it was respecting she-cats.
Torn, and still not completely over the near nervous breakdown he had when Soaringpaw had been taken, he knew just the cat he needed to talk to. His father. Finding Duskslayer, he made his way over. Sitting down and waiting patiently until his father's task was done before speaking "Hunt?" Faith
"Hunt what?" Duskslayer asked, his turquoise gaze moving to his son before breathing out a puff of air, boosting a small feather back into the air. He had been lying on his back for a while, waiting for a gloss he had on his claws to dry. The gloss was a small experiment he had been working on, with his theory it would keep claws strong and long lasting without scuffing them up.

Darkpaw blinked, shrugging his shoulders without quite making eye contact as he looked at his own paws. This whole situation was awkward for him to say the least, and he had second thoughts about even talking with his father about it. Nearly backing down, and just going off on his own. But that wouldn't really solve his problem, and would just leave him to mull it over on his own for the next few hours until it was time for his Blind Date. He wasn't sure that he was going to make it that long, and it wasn't something he really wanted to worry Soaringpaw over when his fears seemed rather silly and unfounded
"Excuse to talk?" he tilted his head to the side
Darkpaw turned, hoping that Duskslayer would follow after him as he led the way way out of camp towards the boneyard
"Just had to ask, I had someone ask me to hunt ghosts before, I didn't want a repeat," Duskslayer explained, getting up this time he followed after his son, his tail trailing along Darkpaw's back lovingly, "Something on your mind, kiddo?" He asked, deciding not to infer, but a part of his mind did figure it might have something to do with the Romance Festival going on. This was his kids first Romance Festival and while they became wild he was glad they could enjoy the festivities. There just wasn't anything else like it.

Darkpaw walked quietly, until he was sure that the two of them were alone. Leaning into the warmth of Duskslayers tail until his pelt was brushing up against his fathers. Even though Soaringpaw had her issues with Duskslayer, he didn't quite share those feelings even if he stood in support of his sister in nearly every aspect. He considered his father to be a strong role model in many senses, even if he did have his faults "Blind date tonight" his words were rather simple, but it got across what was on his mind without all the flowery language other cats seemed to favor. Even with most of his family Darkpaw tried to avoid speaking more than necessary, some in SunClan even whispered that he was mute.
He slowly stopped and turned to duskslayer, dark eyes lids briefly coloring the brightly colored blue eyes underneath "Turn down respectfully?" he tilted his head hoping that he would understand
