Balancedscale and Soaringlight get set up on a romantic morning, to go sunbathing on the stones along the river. However, their peaceful date isn’t to last as Soaringlight grows bored and restless, dragging Balancedscale into her schemes. What is she doing now? It's hard to know, but its bound to end in trouble before it is over. JadieHoneystorm
The warrior fidgeted nervously as he paced back and forth by the stones. Balancedscale's thick ginger and cream striped fur was fluffed out, making the averagely sized tomcat look much larger, eyes flitting about in his nervousness. This was going to be fine, FINE. It wasn't like he had no idea how to be romantic, and was absolutely terrified of disappointing Bloodystar. Nope, not at all.
"I know exactly what Bloodystar is trying to do here and it's not going to happen. So instead of wasting out time talking about flowers and rainbows, why don't we do something productive?"
Soaringpaw was very perceptive, probably too much for her own good. It was no coincidence to her that Bloodystar paired herself and all of her siblings with his own children. It was the same card he played shortly after he coup, a textbook way to gain control over previously warring sides: Marriage. But she would have no part of it. Soaringpaw had decided long ago that, while she liked kits as much as the next cat, they weren't really her thing and she didn't want them. She also was certain that she didn't need a partner to weigh her down all the time. No, her own family was already too much to handle at times, she wouldn't be responsible for adding to that number.
"Uhm, ah, can we just stay here." Balancedscale practically pleaded, grabbing Soaringpaw's leg out of desperation, and then immediately looking vaguely horrified, like he'd made a grave mistake. "Please?"
Soaringpaw made a 'ugh' face and sort of batted her paw away from Balancedscale, "Aren't you the adult here? Quit acting like my little siblings and start acting like a Warrior."
She was blushing slightly and turned her head away next. Had she been too hard on him? Did she care? His patheticness was sort of cute in a way, but any mate of hers had to be stronger, or at least half as strong as she was.
"Anyways," She took a step away from her date, "Yes, otherwise all we are doing is wasting time. May as well come back to camp with something to show for it."
