Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

It was time they started discussing the future of the prisoners, and of BrookClan and NightClan's presence in SunClan. A small portion to the north of the Burial Grounds had been allocated for the prisoners 'camp', and now some of them had chosen to be initiates, for better or worse and with no idea as to the consequences should they fail. This couldn't last forever, however, and she didn't think Kerrigan and Burningstar would elect to continue sending their members to guard these prisoners throughout the winter. Not to mention the strain on SunClan as a whole, to feed three clans instead of one. They were alright so far, but the warriors would be burning out soon, and whatever information or members they got out of DayClan and SpringClan, at some point cats would have enough.
So she'd decided to have a discussion with her Promised about it all, and see where to go from here. It was particularly early, about when the Sun would rise in the midst of greenleaf, but far from being dawn this late in leaffall. Foxstar had been up all night, watching the Moon as it rose and set in the sky, much to Condorstrike's disappointment. The Priestess sat on the ledge from which she made her announcements, breath fogging out in front of her, the frigid air sinking into her thick fur and into her skin.
"You awake Littlebird?" The multicolored feline questioned softly without glancing back, not wanting to wake the Promised's kits or her mate so early.
Littlebird hadn't been able to sleep very much, despite Foxstar's orders to rest. She had mostly been confined to her nest, only leaving when absolutley necessary. The kitting had almost killed her, and it would take even longer to recover since she was nursing her two remaining kits. Between Skipstep and Jetclaw, she hadn't been allowed to do much of anything. If she turned over, the two of them chastized her for overdoing it.
"I'm awake" she replied softly, not wanting to wake her sleeping family. She gently nudged the two kits up against Skipstep, and slipped out of his embrace to join Foxstar upon the ledge. She still felt uneasy on her paws, but each day she was slowly regaining her strength. Compared to the warmth of her nest, the night air felt cold. It was only her long coat that kept the shivers at bay.

"I thought so." It wasn't unusual for Foxstar to be up so early, she'd always stayed up late and woken up at ungodly hours. But sometimes, even she had sleepless nights. "How are you holding up?"
The question was particularly personal, but it was up to Littlebird how she ultimately took it. She could reference a great many things about her health and mental state in the wake of her harsh kitting. Alternatively, the Promised could brush it off if she wasn't yet comfortable with talking about it in depth, or was tired of everyone treating her like an invalid. Foxstar, for her part, seemed to be asking the question casually, but the mere nature of conversation in the middle of the night, under a starry sky, lent itself to much deeper conversations.
"Honestly, I don't know" she paused as she gazed out over SunClan's camp in the low light. She still felt hollow and empty, like part of her was missing. Each time she woke, expecting to see the three kits who had passed at her side once more. She knew they were safe, she had watched as the Sun God had escorted them away. "Sometimes it is hard to tell what is real, and what is just a dream... I know they are gone, but I still find myself searching for them each time I open my eyes"
Littlebird closed her eyes, letting the cool night breeze flow through her coat. It was an honest response, though the question was vague enough that she wasn't certain what Foxstar wanted to know.

"I'd tell you it will get easier, but to be honest, it won't. It's not something that will ever be easy to remember, but one day, you'll wake up, and realize you didn't think about them for an entire day. And that's not a bad thing, to move forward with your life. That doesn't mean you'll ever forget your kits, or that you'll stop missing them either, because you won't. You'll just learn to live with it." If Foxstar was being really honest, she couldn't relate to Littlebird at all. She had many litters of kits, two of which lived in WaterClan of all places. Her relationship with her kits never had been the best. Some of them avoided her, some actually tried to act like they were a family, and frankly, quite a lot of them were dead or missing.
At some point, it just stopped fazing you, though with Foxstar, there was always the unspoken question of wondering how much she actually cared. She seemed to, but she was a skilled actress, and it was difficult, if not impossible at times, to decipher what was true, and what was false with the Priestess.
Even if what she said wasn't true, it wasn't bad advice. She didn't think she would ever stop looking for them, but perhaps one day it wouldn't be all consuming. Maybe one day, she could come to terms with what the Sun God had shared with her. That what had happened was not a result of what she had done, his will, or any other force... Sometimes bad things just happened.
"I need to distract myself, anything to get my mind off the ghosts that haunt me" she glanced back towards her sleeping family, knowing that as much as they cared their constant coddeling only made her feel more guilty. "I apologize for not being much help with our guests" reffering to the two clans that had captured.

Foxstar let out a quiet, breathy chuckle. "Don't worry about it. That's what we have Kerrigan and Burningstar's clanmates for, to keep them in line while we're busy. Though we most certainly can't keep this up forever. Not with leafbare all but upon us." It had taken a turn for the colder lately, and snow blanketed the territory now. With that, prey would run shorter than ever, and they'd be strained to keep hold of both clans.
She wasn't a fool. The storm of rebellion was already brewing, she could feel it on the air. With the turn of the season, the clans would be more desperate than ever to return to their territories and try to salvage what they could for the harsh season. They were at a point where plans needed to be made, without Kerrigan or Burningstar's knowledge, for when the inevitable happened.
"and everyday they grow more uneasy with their situation" Even she had been able to pick up on the unrest that had swept through the camp. Though she had been mostly confined to their den, it was easy to tell in the way others spoke. SunClan was worried about their prisoners rebelling,
"Whatever you decide, something needs to be done soon. If we do not act, they are sure to as they begin to slowly starve" She didn't fear their prisoners rebelling as much as the thought of their own warriors being unable to hunt through the winter. If they were to become to injured in a big battle, they would be unable to hunt effectivey in the harsh conditions that leaf bare would bring.

"I'll start an initiate ritual soon. That'll cull some of the herd, and bring in more hunters on our side if any pass. If it comes to it, we can afford to lose SpringClan I suppose, but that's probably not necessary so long as BrookClan and NightClan remain with us. We also have the kits we've taken from them, that will help our numbers once they're promoted. DayClan will stay in line so long as we can keep Strikhendoniadalisay obedient, but knowing her, there's not a chance in hell of that happening. Isolating her will do one of two things, discourage the clan, or make them fight harder to leave." It was questionable whether Foxstar was talking more to herself or Littlebird at this point, though really, she was just going with her train of thought.
When she stopped speaking, her gaze drifted, finally, to Littlebird, head tilted in an unspoken question. She wondered what the Promised though, as a cat involved somewhat, but having been largely excluded due to keeping to the den, with her knowledge mostly coming from her mate or Foxstar herself.
"With leaf-bare upon us, that would be wise" though she doubted Foxstar heard her words. She seemed to be lost in thought. She to was worried about Strik.... The she-cat had a rebellious spirit, and was always up to something unexpected.
"If we have a harsh leaf-bare I fear we may be unable to support three clans the way it stands now. Perhaps NightClan and BrookClan would contribute, although I would rather not have our clan dependent or in debt to them" It was hard for her to grasp all the intiricatcies having been mostly confined to her den. She felt like her view was limited, and she disliked giving her opinion on things in which she did not have all the information.
