Rosethorn was not sure entirely how this day had come about- it had started small, with one of the apprentices asking her to teach them to make flower wreaths. With all the practice she had crafting them for Phantomfox, it was almost second nature to her now. Another apprentice had joined, and another, and then her sister had asked her to take Pikekit for the day so she could rest. Then came the other kits, and now it was a whole... event.
At least the day was relatively warm for the season. Rosethorn had spent the day prior gathering materials, and they now lay sorted in piles- pre-made, bare-bones wreaths of twigs, various ferns and greens, and piles of wildflowers and lavender. Rosethorn sat behind the piles, waiting for the younglings to gather, and praying that that one annoying narcissist child would not be in attendance.
Say what you want about him, Netherkit was excited. He may not know the limits of his own strength and others suffered because of it, but this he knew how to do. He loved flowers, wildlife, all different types of nature. They didn’t shy away from him or make him feel lonely because of what he was. Nature didn’t care what he was, as long as he treated it with respect. The tom smiled slightly. He couldn’t wait to get started.
Fracturedpaw glanced around at the kits gathered, amusement clear in his blue and gold heterochromia eyes. He had watched the small gathering of younglings toward Rosethorn as he watched everything that went on in the clan. He had an idea of the type of anxiety that must have played a part in the beginning for the she-cat who only wanted to find something to keep her family’s offspring preoccupied but resulted in a full on activity day for any bored youngster in need of constant entertainment.
The orange tabby glanced down at his paws as a voice whispered in his mind, cackling in the recesses of thought, and his smile grew wider. He was glad to find everyone was enjoying themselves.

Bindingkit was curious about all the pieces of plants that were laid about in neat little piles. The colors appealed to his eyes and the smells to his senses. Drawn to a pretty bright yellow flower, he took a big sniff. The flower's pollen went up his nose and caused him to sneeze several times. "ACHOO! ACHOO! ACHOO!" With watering eyes, he rubbed his nose on his fore leg in an attempt to stop it's tingling. "I'm sorry," he mewed when he saw he had disturbed a few of the piles during his sneezing fit.
Does Rosethorn need another garden keeper to assist her with the large swarm of kittens/apprentices??
Bugkit didn't understand the appeal of flowers. To him they were fragile, died easily, and he couldn't play with them without shredding the petals. He did know one thing that bugs liked them and he liked bugs. He wanted to obsessed at first. He wasn't completely sold on the idea of flower wreaths. The last time he had been near a flower a bee stung him on the nose. He shivered at the thought of getting stung again.
Lunarkit clumsily stumbled into the group. Bumping into other kittens and much larger apprentices. "Oops excuse me." She apologized to the nearest cat. She backed up and accidently stepped on a tail. "OOPS sorry!" She exclaimed her ears flatten back against her head and she looked sorry. She shuffled closer to the front trying her best to not step on any more of her clanmates.
That one narcissistic child-- she liked to be called Sunkit-- was among the crowd, shouldering her way to the front. Neither Ratstar nor Poppymask were around at the moment, which dashed her hopes of begging her mother to construct her a new flower crown, and that meant she was left to her own devices. Though actual work was beneath her, she was at least a little interested in...whatever Rosethorn had going on, Sunkit's blue eyes darting up towards the garden keeper with a barely obscured dislike in them. She remembered her last encounter with the she-cat; for some reason her father wouldn't agree to exiling the she-cat for how she spoke to his pride and joy. She's on thin ice. One slip and she's gone, she thought vengefully, but when she saw Rosethorn glancing between everyone present, she bared a wide, innocent grin full of teeth.
Pikekit, though not at all drawn to the idea of playing with plants, was always a good sport about whatever Orchiddrop encouraged him to be involved in. She always seemed so sad nowadays from not being able to move around much. He just wanted to do something to make his stepmother happy, and if that meant sacrificing a day of warming his fur in the sun or practicing his battle moves, well that's just how the crumble cookied or something. He didn't even know what a cookie was. "I bet mine will be prettier than yours," said the golden tom to no one in particular, snickering at the vacant area beside him.
(@turtlenoir sure! feel free to bring another garden keeper in c:)
"That's alright," Rosethorn said to Bindingkit, gathering up the disturbed flowers into neat piles again. Her attention was drawn again to Lunarkit stepping on someone's tail, and her whiskers twitched at Pikekit's comment. She'd forgotten how lively and chaotic a group of youngsters could be... she never spent much time near the nursery.
"We'll get started now," she said, casting another glance at Sunkit. Prissy little snot. "Everyone gather a premade wreath and pick out a combination of flowers and ferns and grasses that you like. Remember, it's not a competition." The last remark was aimed at Pikekit, but it was faintly amused. She liked her step-nephew well enough, even if his father got on her nerves. "Start by tucking the grasses and ferns you gather into various points of the wreath, like this." With slow, purposeful movements Rosethorn demonstrated how to form the base of the flower wreath.

Bindingkit bounded forward at the invitation and grabbed a circle fashioned with long stems. Then he began gathering an assortment of flowers but making sure to avoid the pretty yellow ones even though they were bright and colorful. It wouldn't do to have a flower wreath that made him sneeze. As he was backing out of the crowd of kits, he accidentally bumped into someone. Spinning around to apologize, he slammed his wreath against Sunkit's side. "Oops! Sorry," he laughed before scampering off, bits of flowers scattering in his wake.

Was Molekit there? Yeah. But he wasn't really paying attention. A few of his siblings were here, so he tagged along for the ride. Though instead of grabbing a stick wreath right away, he batted at the scattered flower petals from where Bindingkit slammed his supplies into Sunkit. The little brown tom didn't even offer his sister a word, too enraptured in the way the flower petals shone in the sunlight. He barely even noticed Lunarkit bumping into him, muttering out the usual "It's fine." like it was nothing.
Sunkit snapped after Bindingkit but he was gone too soon, so instead she gathered up the necessary supplies and went to go sit among her brothers. "You two are gonna be my bodyguards for the day," she told them, leaving little room for objection, though she did doubt that they would be as efficient at it as Sir Fisher. But she didn't spy him in the crowd today so she was just gonna have to make due. She had assembled a couple flowers from each bundle, but she had a couple extra of the pretty blue and pink ones.
Pikekit was studiously trying to mimic Rosethorn's movements but was finding the process to be more difficult than he thought. Wasn't it just poking them into place and they would stay? "Is it like this?" He held up his wreath, disheartened to find that the trailing ferns and lavender he'd chosen all detached easily when he moved it.
"Oh- careful, Bindingkit," Rosethorn remarked, before her attention was turned to Pikekit once again. "Close, Pikekit. You have to tuck them in more securely at the top and bottom so they don't flop over or fall out. You can look at mine more closely." She pushed her own expertly crafted wreath in his direction, before glancing at Molekit. "Don't you want to try making one, Molekit?"
Batflower padded up to the other garden keeper. Surveyed the large gathering of kittens and apprentices. "Need any help with this endeavor Rosethorn?" He asked his fellow Garden Keeper while watching Lunarkit looming over the pile of flowers.
Lunarkit had found herself standing in front of the pile of flowers. She couldn't decide which ones she liked the most. They were all pretty in their own right. She wanted to make a small one and give it to Soulkit as an apologize for breaking his newest shell.
Bugkit still stayed away from the pile of flowers, but slowly inched forward. Looking out for bees as he moved closer.

After settling down with his supplies, Bindingkit began to stuff the flower stems into his wreath. He had difficulty getting them to stay in place as the flowers kept falling out every time he tried to reposition the ring of stems. Warriors don't do this kind of stuff, he thought in frustration. And that's what I'm gonna be someday. Not only that but the best and the bravest. I'm gonna save SummerClan from destruction and be a hero! He gave the haphazard wreath a disdainful swat causing more of the flowers to come loose.

Oh yeah, there was like a thing going on. Molekit whipped his head around to face Rosethorn, completely forgetting his supposed bodyguard duty to study the flowers that were brought. He had kept a lot of baby fat on him, almost jiggling as he walked over. "Oh sure." But he really didn't know which ones to pick. They were all really pretty. So he ended up grabbing one of each, conflicting colors that didn't go with each other before dropping his project where he was. At least it would be easy to differentiate Sunkit's from his.
