Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Icyhaven just like any other day came dragging in a mysterious tom into camp in hopes of his sister's approval. He has already dragged in several toms prior to this one in hopes they would be marriage material, but they normally got set free. Since his sister Wintrystar had announced arranged marriages he had searched far an wide for a potential husband to replace his deceased husband.
This morning he had somehow had gotten a strange looking vine wrapped around the tom's legs keeping him immobile and unable to escape. We was sure about this tom. He has spent moons trying to romance him and believe today was the day to dive head first into marriage, but when he entered the camp he was met by a group of cats flanking a tom he didn't know the name of. They announced he had been paired to a Winterclan tom named Cloudweaver. Next thing he knew he had been shoved into a cave with the other tom. The entrance blocked by a large rock. The strong scent from the wide range of floral decorations littering the floor of the cave became overwhelming to the senses. The scents of lavender and vanilla mingled with the other flowers. They were meant to help sooth the nerves of the newly paired couple, but to Icyhaven they added more to his nerves. The fur prickled along the back of his neck. He knew he was landing himself in hot water. He would rather hop in a frozen lake than turn around and have to face the other tom.
Cloudweaver was beginning to think this whole arranged marriage thing was kind of a bad idea.
He understood why it existed, and he didn't really mind being shipped around with his Clanmates until one pairing stick. It was one thing to get married to someone you didn't like, but it was another to suddenly be married to someone who didn't like you. He could admit that it was amusing to see someone just barelybeing able to tolerate being in his presence, but Cloudweaver was a social being, and a whole day spent locked in a cave with nothing to look at but Icyhaven's back would quickly drive him mad. And that was bad for a healthy marriage, probably.
"So, about that handsome tom you dragged into camp today," he began, not entirely expecting Icyhaven to respond. "Is that how you treat all your husbands? Because I don't mind being tied up, but I'd rather you warn me first. I'm a simple guy, really."
