Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
There was something to be said about leaving your own Clan's territory once and a while.
Coralpaw gazed around at the mountain Clans' gatheringplace. There was no gathering currently happening, but Coralpaw had gotten tired of having to put up with her Clanmates and all their issues with her, so she'd decided to take a short day-trip to do some sightseeing. The rest of the Clans' borders lay around her, taunting her. Not that she was actually entertaining the thought of trespassing. She hated rules and the authority who upheld them, but Coralpaw had never done anything as Clearly Wrong as stepping over another Clan's borders.
Okay, maybe she was entertaining the thought--just a tiny bit.
"I really shouldn't," she said to herself. "I would get in so much trouble." But when have I ever cared about that?
She padded up to the FallClan border, and tentatively put a single paw over the threshold. ".....Woah."
The training regime that Masterpaw was on was a hard one, that was for sure. Between his normal training with his mentor, Roaringthunder, and his special training with the aurulent Jayjack, which he had been doing since he was a kit, it was difficult to find any time to himself. Not like he actually did anything with the little spare time he could find, though. He had no hobbies, nor any interests in picking any up, and he had no friends. He didn't even spend much time with his own siblings anymore. In fact, he didn't even know if some of them were in the clan anymore, he saw them so little.
So, with this rare spare time that he currently had, Masterpaw did the only thing that he could think of: going on a border patrol on his own. On one paw, it's something that Jayjack would approve of, and so he could avoid any lectures that the aurulent loved to give; and on the other paw, it was time to just think and relax. A perfect way to escape from camp without getting yelled at, he reasoned. And there was no way that he would actually run into anyone all the way out here, right? He had heard rumors that Summerclan had gone into isolation, and the rest of the clans were so caught up in everything else that they wouldn't even look in Fallclan's direction, so Masterpaw was rather confident that his patrol would be eventless.
That was, until he actually found someone.
"W-what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice cracking out of surprise as he stepped out of the long grass of the firefly meadow and closer to the border where Coralpaw was.
